"I'll go were you need me to be. The Viper problem seems to be our main focus for now, but we always keep in mind the safety of our City and its citizens."
"Contrary to popular belief, I do not get up to the Sea Ward very often," the Open Lord replies. "But feel free to use your new title to get more information from the city watch there. As for Jalester, you'll probably finding him drinking in some tavern somewhere, probably the yawning portal, but his a good man. Let him know as soon as possible however that I have made you one of the cloaks as he does has something for a new recruit," she says.
the white eyes on his black scaled face begin to glow at the mention of a cloak. "it'll be my honor to bear the symbol -- and I will make haste to the portal... though maybe he should try our establishment."

"He'll probably get around to it, he does like a good drink," the Open Lord says with a slight smile. "If there's nothing else, I do have another meeting soon, but if you have any questions please, ask. Otherwise, you are free to go," she concludes.
Briga bows and awkwardly performs a curtsy, then says, "I guess we should be on our way then. Back to the Yanwing Portal, where the Abandoned Dragons got started."

Bonnie smiles back at Tyrus shyly, and you do find someone with the same symbol as Griffdar enjoying what looks to be about to enjoy his fifth ale before lunch.
"It has been an avalanche of changes all around, I agree, Arlon," Briga says. "I guess I'm not in the frozen north anymore. Make it a whirlwind of changes. Kind of makes you wonder. I don't like to get introspective and all philosophical, goes against my nature. That was my skald brother's thing, but the jerk infected me with these crazy ideas, and I hate them. It's why I stay busy. I know that kind of thing just makes me feel frustrated and restless.
But still, it's kind'a crazy. I mean, if we hadn't all been here in this bar, maybe Volo would have approached some other folks. It could have been a different group that saved Floon, inherited Trollskull Manor, and gotten the attention of all the local movers and shakers. Heck, it could have been a less capable group, and they could have failed. Floon could have been tortured to death and Volo pawns that deed for drinking money. Is this the fates? The will of the gods? If it is, which gods? We've all got different deities I think.
And, is fairness part of it? Is this because we're good people? Because we're strong people? Is that fair to the good-hearted but weak, everyday people, the people make shoes and harvest wheat and make whatever textiles are? Is it about the right combination of being strong and good? Is that what it means to be a hero? Or is it all just luck? Just the way the icicle happened the thaw and where it randomly fall?"
She pauses and her nostrils flare. "Screw that noise, I think the foods coming. Yeah, Tyrus, I think that's got to be the guy."
You approach the man who looks up to you and says "Ah, you must be the one Open Lord Silverhand told me about, I hear she has got you to join our ranks, welcome to the alliance," he says with a smile. "But let's get straight to the point. I'm to give you a task. Right now, as your probably aware, a gang war between the Zhentarim and the Xanathar guild is causing unrest throughout the city. We have offered protection to members of the Dungsweepers' guild, and one of the groups to be looked after has been given to you. Meet them at the Muleskull Tavern, on Ship Street in the Dock Ward, at six bells and guard them while they work. We'll need you to provide this protection daily for the next tenday from tomorrow," Jalester says, before ordering another drink.
"How much protection do they require? Would simply just me suffice?" As he orders another drink Griff says, "Ya know, we just opened up a pub not too far from here. The Abandonned Dragon. you should check it out."

Tyrus just stays quiet and wonders just what the hell he's gotten himself into. [OOC: ;-)]

"Yes...yes. Of course. Thank you for your time. And the cloak." Griff, awestruck, throws on the cloak and heads out of the office.

Briga orders some food and gives Griff and Tyrus a thumbs up sign, leaving Griff to approach his contact.
Arlon will join Briga and order some food too.
"Big changes it seems for everyone. Are you ok ? "
Tyrus will order a drink at the bar (4 cp, if I remember correctly) and then join Briga and Arlon at their table.
"I wonder if that be the Jalester the Open Lord was talking about?" he says after taking a long draw on his drink.
