[OOC: The crossbow is fine, the bolts will fit through fine - its more the length of the javelin than anything - that is where that issue comes in - but with 12 points of damage... but still, as Arlon and Tyrus are at the back... ]
IC: Briga pulls up the crossbow to this side of the arrow slit, aims at the goblin sleeping and shoots - instantly taking it out. However, at the back of the group, out of the arrow slit in the other side of the wall, an arrow flies towards Arlon from the arrow slit on the other side.
Attack: 20 Damage: 6
The arrow manages to catch Arlon in the elbow, as he gestures for one of his spells.
OOC: Is the second arrow slit close enough for Briga to move to fire through the slit, and then move out of the line of sight from the occupant of the slit?
10 - Attack roll with Heavy Crossbow, no Advantage
As Tyrus says "there's likely to be..." thwap, the arrow lands in Arlon's elbow coming from the other side of the chamber you currently find yourselves in.
Briga tries to continue whispering but her voice is raspy, as she says, "I got this one, but it looks like there were more arrow slits than I realized! Watch it guys, this isn't over."
Hearing the sound of combat, Tyrus whirls and spots the first of the new attackers in the gloom.
Cursing loudly in gnomish, he casts the Vicious Mockery cantrip at the first attacker he sees [Wisdom Save vs DC 12; 2 psychic damage + disadvantage if failed]
He will then use some of his move to back up the corridor the way they came so he is not in direct line of fire.
[OOC: I wrote my last move just before I went to work, and apparently as the description of the situation was being developed, because my move doesn't make sense now that I read the complete post about the goblin's attack. To avoid changing it too much, I will reverse the order of actions so that Tyrus, who is at the back of the party, retreats back the way the party came trying to get out of line of sight of any arrow slits. He will then hold his Vicious Mockery cantrip to use on any enemy that comes into sight. The dice rolls made in my previous roll should still apply.]

[OOC: In all fairness, with Briga and Griff up front, it would be hard not to be at the back, so that's why Arlon was chosen, even though not necessarily at the back - you could probably fit single file, however as it was a corner, technically two people could be next to each other - from your vantage point - you don't see any goblins - as they are all behind very thin arrow slits, you would have to look through one to the other side to be able to see the goblin. Will get back when everyone has posted :)]
[OOC: Happy with what you posted and agree I can't see any of the goblins. When I wrote my move this morning, I was in a hurry and only part of the description was in the field (i.e., no initiative roll, attack roll or damage). I thought at the time that we might have been being attacked by goblins coming out of the door and was surprised when I saw the other posts that came in between seeing the part description and me clicking 'Post Reply'. However, I didn't have the time to amend my move until I got home from work. Can my latest move stand instead?]

OOC: Let me know if my earlier described move is possible/legal - hard to visualize movement distances, so I'm not sure if Briga actually can move from the arrow slit she shot through to the other, fire through it, and have movement left to step aside, but if the dimensions and her 30 foot move speed allow for it, that's what she would have done.
OOC: Ok, so that would still leave enough movement to move away from the arrow slit's line of fire after the shot. Perfect. Though I probably missed, heh. Assume we're still working our way around for this round of combat.

Griff would have his javelin ready in the case that the goblin is alive after Brigas shot

[OOC: I'm good with that]
OOC: Let me know if my earlier described move is possible/legal - hard to visualize movement distances, so I'm not sure if Briga actually can move from the arrow slit she shot through to the other, fire through it, and have movement left to step aside, but if the dimensions and her 30 foot move speed allow for it, that's what she would have done.

OOC: Will get back with everything when Arlon gets back to us - Arlon no rush - still hasn't even bee a full day yet so your not being hurried here :)
I am here, just got loads to read now. Next time don't hesitate to make my move. I ll roll with it.

Arlon grunts. He is not used to being hurt and no tales tell about hurting that damn much. Through gritted teeth he mumbles an spell and an oath.
Init:19
If he can see the goblins he will fire a fire bolt ( Attack: 17 Damage: 6 of fire )
If not he will hug the wall and follow the others.
