OOC: At first unclear, it's about half speed of when you were next to Nim, suggesting your about half of the maximum distance away (which was worked out to be 500 feet), so it's about 250 feet away, and it's only through trial and error you get direction as it occassionally slows down to tell you your moving further away)
(@DragonDenn: I don't believe it points so much as comes to life when a Nimbot is around)
"Wait, where are you-... Ohhh... That's a good idea. I'll take the other way." Mairi circles in the opposite direction. She tries to appear casual about it, playing off an air of someone perhaps lost. If there are visible guard(s) or point of possible interest, she takes a mental note for her eventual notifying of the others on the way back.

OOC: To the DM, it seems like me might need some clarification on where the signal is leading us, but I think the consensus is that we will continue to follow the signal.
[OOC: Yeah it's like a proximity sensor, it only rotates, it doesn't point direction - the only way to tell direction is by moving closer or futher away. I'd let Tyrus decide whether or not his with the party. The group arrived back at the detector and came back to the Tavern with it, and from there the device has led them about 250 feet away from your tavern.]
Tyrus would have stayed at the tavern and worked at fixing the damage to the front door, as said previously. While doing so, he will keep a wary eye out for anything suspicious that might indicate that either the Zhentarim or Xanathar's group is acting in the area.

Walking around the estate, there is the main gate, but around the back of the estate is a coach house entrance that is locked. Both entrances are on busy roads. Tyrus continues to assist the halflings in the bar.
Saralyssa looks for any symbology to suggest who the estate is owned by, and on the gate is a coat of arms she doesn't recognise.
“If these people are actively a part of the attack, knocking on the front door isn’t the way to go, Griff,” Briga says. “I say we go in the back way, ask for forgiveness instead of permission. There was basically a terrorist attack on the city streets. It’s kind of extreme circumstances.”

(OOC: I thought this happened as we were leaving the tavern to start searching.)
[OOC: To be clear, the device started whirring back at the Abadnoned Dragons Tavern]
OOC: But the building it was pinging was a different nearby manor, correct?

Didn't we find a house that it pointed to already? Then Saralyssa did a circuit around the house, to make sure that it was pointing to it specificly.

Briga looks around the perimeter of the structure or area the detector is signaling towards to see if there are multiple entrances.
Is there any coat of arms, or anything else Saralyssa might recognize on the building the detector located for them?

"A polite knock doesn't seem like too much does it?" Griff chimes in
