As Briga carries Sara's unconscious form to Trollskull Tavern, she sees Tyrus outside, badly hurt. A badly hurt Mairi also appears to be sneaking out of the back door through the kitchen.
Briga carries Sara over and kneels near Tyrus, carefully placing Sara down and leaning her head against a wall. "Tyrus, gods, what happened to you? I thought we ran into bad trouble, but you look nearly as jacked up. I can't find Griff, and that construct tore Sara to pieces. She's alive, but as you can see, not doin' so great. What's going on here? Did the nimblewright follow me here somehow?"
Mairi sigh of relief comes out more staggered, caught off guard as she was from hearing Briga's voice nearby. Mustering her courage however, she makes her around to say at first only a word of power, "Enerius." Sara would feel at least some of her wounds close and consciousness return as the magic worked its way over her. Afterwards, Mairi is waving the three over saying in warning, "Come, come. Bring him quick. Those rat people are probably still here."
Even if the opposite were to be true, its clear from her wild eyed appearance that paranoia ruled her focus.

"Rat people?! What is going on here, Mari," Briga asks. "This is crazy. We've got rat people in our bar? How many? Should I go in and try to mess them up, or do you think we need to get a guard or something?"
"Wait, so like metaphorical-type rats? The wait staff did this to you? A guy named Frewn paid our serving staff to... attack you guys?" Briga seems confused, but has her polearm in a two handed grip, evidently ready for trouble, despite not understanding the nature of the situation as of yet.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"It seems like you be having some problems, yeself," says Tyrus looking at Briga's injuries. "It's not be being much, but I have some magic in me still, so be standing still so I can heal you. We might be needing you to protect us."
So saying, Tyrus casts a 1st level Healing Words on Briga as well: 6
"Thanks, Tyrus. Yeah, we ran into some trouble, too. Found the nimblewright, the contruct we were after. That thing is dangerous. It's really fast, and super deadly," Briga says. As the healing mends most of her remaining wounds, she sighs and stretches her limbs. "That helps, I feel almost a hundred percent now. Sara took the worst of it. It was just the two us, and she went down. I could have maybe kept trading blows with the thing, but alone it didn't seem like a smart idea, and with Sara bleeding out... not proud to say, but I totally ran. Some guards managed to help stabilize Sara. Not my bravest moment, and I'm pretty sure Magnus, my dear old ice-hearted dad, would have called me craven, but I wasn't going to let Sara die over my stupid pride."
"Ye did the right thing, Lassie," says Tyrus, patting Briga on the arm. "In my experience, smart be better than brave, most times."
He then turns to Mairi and says, "Sorry you be getting involved, but I be glad you did as I had enough trouble with two of them. If all four of them had had a go at me... Well, I wouldn't be here now."

Saralyssa sits up, looking around and recognizing the tavern nearby. "What is all of this?" She asks. As the others fill her in she sighs and gets, gingerly, to her feet. "Well, do we go in and have at them, or do we let them continue to have the run of the place, maybe getting into your coffers..."
At the mention of coffers, Tyrus becomes immediately concerned that most of his wealth is inside the tavern.
"That would be good," he says, "but I have not my armour or weapons."
Then he adds, "And there also be the problem that most of us can barely stand. I be thinking that we need to call in the guard. That will at least chase them away so we can see what they've left us."

Mairi furrowed her brow, seeming uncertain of Tyrus' earlier words to her. Yet, she said nothing of it, and would just observe the exchange between the duo. By the time attention turns back to her, the half-elf had taken to jotting some things in her little book in the interim. "Huh, what?"She responded intially, looking both confused and sheepish. Despite her own injuries, the reporter in her, it would seem at least, transcended it. For the moment.
"Oh, uhm... I.... y-you are most welcome."She added softly, having closed and pressed the book closely to her chest, and bowed her head just enough to hide her eyes. But not he sheepish smile she wore up until things had moved on once more. "I'm probably the fastest one here, so I could try. But the rest should stay here and watch the place at least. Chances are they may yet still take your coffers though."She then offers Brigga her rapier. "Here. They seemed particularly agitated when I brandish this at her. My guess? They do not like silver very much." She smiled, and if there was nothing more to be said, Mairi takes off for the closest guard station she knew of nearby.

A bit too late to stop Mari, Briga says, “But, my Glaive is silvered, too. Oh well. Maybe you can use the rapier, Tyrus. Well, I guess we’re doing this? Taking back our bar? We just became proper landowners. Can’t have it going to the rats without a fight. Mairi is getting backup. I guess I’ll see what I can do in the meantime. Can’t be worse than that construct.”
Tyrus takes the proffered rapier and tries a few test swings with it before he realises what Briga is doing.
"Woe there, Lassie," says Tyrus hastily. "Why do you be wanting to be put yourself in danger for? It's not like they can keep control of the tavern and what's in the till do not be worth dying for."
He then considers for a moment and adds, "Stopping them leaving might be worthwhile, but there be only two of us and more ways out than that, so that could be a bit tricky. However, what say we see if we can be keeping them occupied until the guard comes. I suggest we try talking with them."

Briga shrugs, and gestures with her polearm, saying, “Fine by me, but maybe if I stand there looking scary it’ll give us some leverage. I’ll do my best Savage northern Barbarian impression, the one that would make my folks proud.”
"Good," says Tyrus, "and I'll be a standing right behind you for protection."
He then moves up to where Briga has stopped and does just as he has said before shouting out, "Hey! Dasher, Keslo and Danika! We be wanting words with you."
While waiting for a reply, he speaks in a low voice to Briga, saying, "There be four of them. Don't know where the other one came from, but that means there could be more of them than four."

Briga brandishes her silvered halberd and tries to look like the six foot tall muscular woman that she is. It comes fairly naturally. “The man would have words with you, he says. Best listen.”

Briga watches for any sign of Sara returning to consciousness on the way to the Trollskull Manor tavern.
OOC: DM, let me know if/when she awakens, she might be conscious en route to the bar?

"It be our halflings," gasps Tyrus to Briga, still hardly believing the treachery. "Some fellow named Frewn be paying them to put us out of business."
He then speaks to Mairi, "It be good to see you got out of their alive, lassie. I was hoping my loud exit might give ye the chance."
Then, turning to look back at the tavern. "Those little rats must be right peeved at the moment that we both got away."
Grimacing at his torn clothing and the wounds on his body, Tyrus then mutters the words of a spell to begin the healing process.
