Alten motions to every body to keep eyes on the target, but calls out Everybody fall back & form up.
He backs away as far as possible while maintaining sight on the darkness bubble.
Assuming everybody groups up, he whispers Do we just want to wait it out until he gets tired and drops it or do those of us who have blasting cantrips just keep taking pot shots and hope we get lucky?
Either cantrip blasts hoping to get lucky or everyone just ready a big attack for when we can see the enemy - presumably when darkness spell runs out.

Rees blinks in surprise. "I keep forgetting I can do magic. But, yeah, I have arrows and spells, I can keep firing or we can wait... how long does that spell last?"
"I am afraid the bombs were the only thing I had up my sleeve," Arxius says quietly to the group. "Without being able to see, I cannot make a shot. Unless anyone has some luck to go around. Perhaps we should disperse and be hidden from view when the darkness drops?"
You hear a shout of anger... but, the darkness remains... a split second later though it drops as large spiked thorns suddenly erupt from the ground around around you...
(Belak drops the darkness spell and casts spike growth the area around the party centered on Alten and Talien becomes difficult terrain for the duration (1-min). When a creature moves into or within the area, it takes 2d4 piercing damage for every 5 feet it travels. The effect is a 20-ft radius.. so I believe again Grom and Shake are not within its AoE as they are hiding behind the short wall).
You see Belak is now bleeding from the shoulder were Meepo's arrow struck him, he looks furious, and bellows... "How dare you enter this sacred place and interrupt my work! Leave now and you shall leave with your lives! Stay and you shall become food for the Gulthias Tree!"

I was sticking to the initiative.. but, don't mind speech/convos out of turn.. it's relatively realistic.. i'm sure you wouldn't wait to shout "grenade!" if you saw one coming
Arxius will cast Hunter's Mark on Belak and (if she can) move swiftly to a position she can fire from that gives her cover.
Attack: 17 Damage: 72
So, I believe you will have to take the 7 and half movement, but you are able to make it over the wall and out of the spikes using all of your movement since you're already close to the wall.
And your arrow hits Belak, striking him in the knee... "Insolent She-elf! You shall pay dearly for that!" he curses you.

Wow haha.. Guess he's never been accused of being Belak the Wise -- On his next turn Belak must follow your command... back to the top of the order with Talien up.
Grom will launch a firebolt into the darkness as this seems what we are doing lol

Not sure. I don’t know that spell. At least a minute. Grom? Shake? Either of you know for sure?

How far away is Belak from Alten?
"Fiction is the lie through which we tell the truth." A Camus
About 20 feet.. he's right in front of the Gulthias Tree and the party is in front of the circular wall.
So he's right outside of the radius of the Spike Growth? OK. I was assuming we had backed farther away than that.
"Fiction is the lie through which we tell the truth." A Camus
You did say fall back, but it was on Grom's turn.. so nobody has had a chance to actually fall back yet.. (as far as I remember)
