Abner
If Abner is within range of the two newcomers (or can easily move there), he will cast ice knife at one.
Ice Knife: Attack 7 . Damage: 3 The shard explodes. The target (and its buddy, if within 5 feet of it) must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take7 cold damage.
"Are these cockatrices?" Abner muses to no one in particular. "I didn't imagine they could use weapons!"
He'll use the rest of his movement to find some convenient cover from the two bow-wielders.
The creature on the left dives out of the way of the shards, whilst the one on the right takes the full brunt of the explosion of ice - ripping through it's robe and spray the nearby tree with blood. The creature still stands injured, with a few icicles buried an inch or two into it's back and shoulders.

Brozak charges through the underbrush, ripping plants free of their roots as he barrels towards his companions.
At the sight of the half-orc, the healed tiefling and the dragonborn, the shortsword wielding enemy rips its way through the bushes to its right and attempts to lose you all in the undergrowth and amongst the tree trunks.
Enemy Stealth Check:15
The other two let loose arrows at Abner. The archers then move up to take cover behind nearby trees.
Enemy Shortbow Attack: Attack: 7 Damage: 5
Enemy Shortbow Attack:Attack: 23 Damage: 8
One of the arrows sails past Abner's face, whilst the other catches his sleeve and tears a hole through it. Adri, Brozak and Red can all see where the fleeing enemy ran, despite its best attempts at concealing itself amongst the tall ferns and briars.
Order of Initiative: Enemy, Therne, Abner, Red, Brozak, Adri.
Red's sputtering turns to Infernal curses and finally and I hate that. Not even getting up, bonus action to cast Healing Word on Therne 5 hit points restored
Still from his knees, shouts Thou fusty onion-eyed chickencasting Vicious Mockery directed at the closest bird-thing (the one that just ran): Wisdom save or 3 psych damage plus disadvantage on next attack
Then crawl into a position to check on Therne or help her up
edit: Sorry the wisdom save on VM is DC13. And I think when she wakes up Therne should still benefit from the Bardic Inspiration
The creature fleeing into the woodland stops in its tracks as Red's cutting words penetrate its skull and cause it to falter for a moment - just enough time for Brozak to race after the creature and club it to the ground with his war hammer. The hollow bones of the bird-like being crack easily beneath the weight of his swing, and it falls onto its front amidst the soil with a shattered spine.
Order of Initiative: Enemy, Therne, Abner, Red, Brozak, Adri.
[OoC]: Therne still has her Bardic Inspiration die.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Adri's bolt plants into the tree covering the creature with a loud 'thunk'.
The two remaining creatures motion to each other and make inaudible noises. The one with icicles clinging to its body darts out of cover and into thick bushes, whilst the other backsteps and lets loose an arrow at Adri before turning to scamper further into the forest.
Enemy Stealth check: 18
Enemy Shortbow Attack: Attack: 13 Damage: 4
The arrow misses its mark and flies over in the direction of the trail. The enemy who tried to hide amongst the bushes whilst fleeing makes a poor job of it in its injured state - with Therne and Red managing to just about keep an eye on its position. The creatures appear to be fleeing into the trees.
Abner sprints after the two fleeing creatures. If he gets a shot at one (preferably the icicle-clad one, but whichever he gets the better shot at), he'll fire off a cantrip:
(Hopefully, if the underbrush is flammable, he won't later regret this!)
(Are they headed away from the path, perpendicular to the ruins? Or in another direction?)
Meanwhile (not sure if I can fit this into a combat round - ignore this if I can't), Abner will keep an eye out for additional traps, potentially hostile creatures, or other hazards. Perception: 7

Therne immediately starts cursing up a storm as soon as she’s awake. If they’re still within 90 feet, she’s going to cast Entangle, preferably getting both if they’re within 20 feet of each other, but otherwise getting the closer one. DC 13 STR or they’re restrained. Staying prone, she’s going to move behind the tree next to her for cover.
If the enemies were out of range, then she will use her action to hide instead. Stealth: 11

Abner lets off a bolt of flame which crashes into the chest of the suppressing creature. It makes the sound of a bell ringing as it pats the flames off its chest, which leave a large grey patch of featherless skin.
Therne attempts to call upon nature to entangle the assailants as they flee, but they are too quick of foot and avoid the grasping vines with ease. She then moves behind a tree to take cover.

Red walks towards the creatures to keep them in range a while longer. With You speak unskillfully he directs Vicious Mockery at the further of the two within 60 feet (DC 13 Wis save or 4 psych damage plus disadvantage)
Curse these worm-eaters as worm-food, but I don't think they are worth chasing far
[ooc if my math is right, after 15 feet through the underbrush he'll be 30 or 50' or so from them, and 15 feet behind Abner? Just trying to get a couple curses in before they are gone. Red will not go past the two trees they were hiding behind]

Your words seem to have no effect on the injured creature as it moves as quickly as it can whilst attempting to remain hidden.
[OoC]: They were right at the edge of your range. You had to use half of your movement to stand (since you explicitly said you weren't in your previous turn), which gave you 5 ft. of movement through difficult terrain. The furthest was exactly 60 ft. from you at that point.
Order of Initiative: Enemy, Therne, Abner, Red, Brozak, Adri.
Brozak leans towards his injured comrade and placing his hands on their wounds, “May Bahamut’s Flames heal you.”
”As much as I loathe to let them flee, we should continue onward to our goal. Shall I take the lead?”
(ooc I’m not sure who is worse off, Red or Therne but that is who I will heal, for 3 points. Not sure what to do make it show the ability like they did with their spells.)

Adri casts Cure Wounds on Red immediately as he falls.
He regains 4 hit points.
As well as that, she will cast Shield of Faith on him as a bonus action.
[OOC] tooltips wouldn't show up but shield of faith gives +2 AC and is a concentration spell
Red awakens on his hands and knees, gasping for breath. He is currently prone.

Abner
Abner will jockey into a position to get the best shot at the bow-wielding creature on the right (or whomever has the least cover) with his crossbow.
Crossbow – Attack: 21 Damage: 4
He'll use the remainder of his move to duck for cover again.
He lets out an involuntary (and somewhat inappropriate) burst of laughter out of sheer excitement and the somewhat absurd nature of these creatures.
