Sarith begins putting the chain shirt on. “Yes, I suppose you’re right. I’ll take some leather with me strapped to my back for later if anyone has a small length of rope”
Stoolmoves to the western side of the room and says to Shishakli “If you want to keep your position there, my spores will pass the message if you want everyone to run. Someone mentioned a barricade earlier. I, I quite like that idea”
(OOC - Turvys shackles were opened by El’s hammer and spike. El, save your guidance for another turn. I don’t want it to be wasted on that last one when you haven’t used it)
Shishakli thinks to Stool "how far can we comunicate with each other? I'll gladly relay between the human and the group." And going back down sends to El "how are things there? What should we prepare for here?"
El, still in drow form, beckons shishakli inside without turning around. "I've set up a cover story for me being there and discovered that the Priestess may be having an affair with Shoor, one of the guards, though I am unsure of whether he is among the dead. I think the best plan of action would be to make use of my story, I could walk across again with some of you as prisoners but too many would arouse suspicion so leaving part of the group here would make sense. We could lure the guard over in order to help with an out of control Orc" El looks at Ront. "...Or half-orc, and take him out swiftly. Then the whole procession can head across with one or two of us hiding larger gear. Once we make it to the other side of the bridge there is another Guard like we fought before and at least two who seem better armed and possibly elite. We need to clear the area quickly then come back for our comrades, there may be an escape route."
El stops, catching themself still in character and cracks a crooked smile "Or we could all run across there and scream like lunatics."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Shishakli looks towards El and thinks to himself "This human took to the drow form and role all too easily..." and tries to remember back to the times he'd changed form to remember if he saw El cast a spell, or simply shift forms. perception6; insight6
One thing Shishakli has noticed is that when El has been talking or just the way they act, they give off a very theatrical presence, like becoming a character is something that they find easy, they mentioned work during the meeting with Ilvara, could this have been some sort of performance work. As for seing El become the Drow, Shishakli missed it the first time as El had escaped the cell before changing their appearance. The second time that the transformation took place, El had moved their hands around as though they were possibly casting a spell but the changing of their features seemed to be slightly delayed.
"Ok. Topsy, Turvy, Shuuushar, and Stool. Head upstairs my friends. Jimjar, i'l wager these 2 gold coins you and Eldeth can't keep them all safe up there. The rest of us wait here for El to return with a soon to be deceased Drow."
Gnarls flashes 2 gold coins at Jimjar with a smile and pockets them again. "Ront, can you block the door once the Drow is inside?"
Glancing suspiciously at El, Shishakli replies "I'd rather set an ambush if possible here. It'll be tough to lead a group of armed prisoners across. Are there any traps we can set?"
”If you want I’m more than happy to cause a distraction elsewhere to move the elite guards whilst some of the prisoners are escorted out by El, we need muscle in the first group in case of danger arising but I’ll lead away the stronger forces if you desire? Also who can’t see in the dark? We will need those who can to be leading those who can’t, creating flame or light may cause suspicion while travelling”
Verim turns to Tobias
“Thank you Tobias, this place is just filled with darkness, I’m used to it but I had enough in my past life to have to endure it again, Mystra has a plan and all of our magic together shall aid us all!”
El raises their hand, "I may look like a Drow but I don't have their Night Vision. I do think that luring the one of guards over here first would whittle down their numbers and if we make it across uncontested after that we can hide, arm ourselves and attack full force. I could even distract the guards again."
El looks at Shishakli, "Though I must say you're plan is a good one friend and if the group decides that it is preferable then I will certainly do what I can to aid it. What do the rest of you say? Go to them or let them come to us?"
"We have not killed Shoor. He was the one that visited with Ilvara and looked to be one of the priestess' elite guards, along with their whipping boy, Jorlan... Let's lure the one back here, take care of it." He nods to Eldreth, "I would prefer anyone that can swing a sword be down here to more quickly take care of the drow."
"Can we make it into the next structure without being seen by the other three?"
Tobias takes his dagger and cuts a small length of rope for Sarith to strap the leather armor to his back.
"Sarith, Cyndral: do we stand a chance against these 'elites', even with the element of surprise?" Gnarls is itchy and excited at the thought of combat, but also feels an unexpected sense of nervousness. The Uthgardt are unflinchingly brave, and he has never encountered an enemy he could not stand against (A living one anyways), but he has heard tales of the legendary Drow fighting prowess, and worried that the poison will affect his ability to survive.
"Can we make it into the next structure without being seen by the other three?"
"The regular guard would have to be looking somewhere else or remain behind one of the structures and I only saw the elites once I rounded the corner, so I think if none of them move then we should be fine. However they require very little movement to see down the bridge so causing a disturbance may entice them to investigate. If that happens I suggest we set an ambush as Shishalki suggested."
JimJar again with a smile on his face says "I'll do anything for a wager"
You hear Stool speak to you once more "If I'm going to be away from you all then you'll need this again" He lets out another burst of spores "These will help those of you that don't know each others languages to still be able to talk, though it will only last an hour"
Eldeth says "I too can't see in the dark"
Sarith speaks up "Tobias is right, I believe Shoor was the Elite Drow that was with Ilvara, we haven't taken care of him or the one with the scarring on his face. The Drow elite warriors in Menzoberranzan are good fighters. They'll have had similar but different training here. With our numbers there's a chance that we could take one on at a time but two might be a bit of an ordeal. We've only taken care of 4 guards so far, this outpost is bound to have more than 8 guards around and possibly a Quaggoth or two for chores"
"Agreed. A plan for separating the Elites will have to come after we eliminate the first guard, perhaps one will come to investigate if we're lucky." El slings their shield over their back and picks up an extra shortsword. "We'll need to off this one quickly so more damage the better"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Go bring him over. I'll stay in the middle to relay messages and ready to shoot at him." Shishakli says. He then follows El out, and attempts to again hide near the bridge again - stealth16. On the way out he whispers to the group above "This human is hiding something... he seems to imitate the drow too perfectly for someone whos never been with them before... Though I hope I'm wrong, be aware of a trap."This time he sticks behind, but closer to El, in an attempt to listen to what he says to the guard to bring him over. If/when the guard starts heading back, Shishakli will head back first, send a message to the group to be ready to attack, and will ready a crossbow bolt for when the drow is about 10 feet from the entrance of the tower. ((assuming all goes to plan of course))
Tobias shakes his head at Shish and calls to him telepathically, "No. Do not engage until we have the drow back inside here. If you shoot at it before it gets here, it will just run and inform the others. We have to cut off its escape before we engage."
The half-orc then moves to pull the body of the drow guard inside and places it in the chair.
Sarith begins putting the chain shirt on. “Yes, I suppose you’re right. I’ll take some leather with me strapped to my back for later if anyone has a small length of rope”

"Nice job El! Are we going to play the fake prisoner game, or just all out assault? Could we bait one over here and take him out quietly?"
