Salty will shout at one of the plant creatures near him. Not one step closer you little shit (Wis save 13 or take 2 psychic and disadvantage on next attack).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Salty Joe mocks one of the Twig Blights coming at him, hoping to knock some of it's branches off or at least make it wonder if it should continue! (DC 13 Wis: 13)
Bankur swings his mace, connecting with one of the blights near him and knocking it into the wall, where it lays motionless...
The remaining Twig Blights press their attack, still angered over the previous assault on their lair! (Spoilering to save space - feel free to look!)
#1 vs Salty Joe Attack: 12 Damage: 5
#2 (-2) vs Salty (assuming it fails the Wis check...) Attack: 9 Damage: 3
The plants start to move as Rand is clearing a path through the brush. He bats away their advance and then counters with a double handed swing at the closest twig blight.
End of Round 1: Valefor ignites one of the plant creatures, causing it to flare up brightly like a two-foot tall torch! / Rand decides to turn another one of the creatures into kindling and matchsticks with a mighty overhand attack... / Penumbra just misses her target sending her arrow through branches and empty space.
(Twig Blight status for your awareness)
Salty Joe has two attacking him - #1 and #2 (-2hp)
Bankur has one (#3) still attacking. He destroyed the other (#4) in the first round.
Valefor has one blight attacking him (#6), having just fired up the second one (#5) near him.
Rand also has one left (#7). The other one (#8) is nothing but splinters and fallen leaves.
As Bankur's blade slices the little plant creature in half, he quickly squares up to the remaining creature and deftly dodges it's next attack. Spinning gracefully Bankur launches a mace strike at the creature's mid-section.
Penumbra snarls angrily after missing her shot. Quickly she decides to try a different approach, drawing her short sword and a dagger she leaps off the wall and uses her wings to glide down on top of the unhurt blight next to Salty Joe.
Rand does, indeed, shatter the last twig blight attacking him (#7)into a thousand tiny splinters! At about the same time, Penumbra gracefully soars down into melee, striking down one of the blights attacking Salty Joe (#1)with her first strike, but missing the other with her second attack.
Round 3:
Salty Joe curses at the same plant creature attaching him (DC13 Wis: 13), but it resists any additional psychic anguish.
In less than 15 seconds, the deranged and evil plants are decimated, leaving a lone twig blight threatened by 5 larger, and much more dangerous, foes. It disengages and scampers off towards the southern wall and the overgrown area behind the ruined farmhouse. (Combat over! 100 XP each for facing the 8 twig blights =) You should be at 1,275 XP total.)
A quick search of the area does not reveal anything of value or interest. The party moves to the next building over (#6), with Penumbra again doing an aerial recon and reporting back what she saw...
At an intersection near the middle of the village, a narrow lane winds up the steep hillside to the north. Directly to the south is a building that might have been a store or workshop. It is not a complete ruin yet, with portions of its tile roof still intact. Webs stretch across the lane, from the building to the trees on the north side of the road. (The webs fill two squares north of the doorway (and the square marked “6”) The party is represented by the yellow smiley face on the map!)
As Rand walks cautiously down the road, he pauses when he sees the webs. "I don't like the look of those webs. Valefor, do you think you can burn them with that fire trick you do?"
