(OOC: Jono {aka Zipnok} is flat out like a lizard drinking on his honours dissertation and will be caught up for at least the next two weeks if not longer so I"ll bot Drabash for the foreseeable future)
“Right that’s enough standing around with our fingers up our proverbials!” Tibi says tapping his foot impatiently and tossing the decionist coin in higher and higher arcs. “Drabash you pick up that bloke” pointing to Thurstwell “sling him over your shoulder and bring him along.” As the party leaves the mansion Tibi pulls Gilbert to one side and whispers “I can’t see any issues with telling them about the box?”
”Right you are boss” Drabash says as he turns to Thurstwell “c’mon upsy daisy. No kicking mind you or I’ll get cross” as he hoists Thurstwell - still tied up - onto his shoulders.
"You're the boss" Gilbert would reply before turning to the free'd captives. "We already have the box... let's get out of here and we can discuss this back at our office."
You gather up Thurstwell and head out of the mansion. A couple more guards are in the courtyard grounds but you are able to easily overcome them when they try and prevent you from leaving.
You escort Hhune back to to her estate. As you arrive you find 2 members of the Watch out front with a few of the Hhune's private guards. Surprisingly Captain Zodge of the Flaming Fist is also present with a couple of soldiers.
As you approach Satiir Thione-Hhune quickly explains the situation and that you had saved her from being held captive by the Vanthampur's. The entire situation of the uncovered cult activity is explained to Captain Zodge and you are able to report that you successfully destroyed the cult problems that he had you look into.
"My gratitude as promised. As well as the gold. I believe it was 200 gold each. That's less I need to worry about. We can take Thurstwell into custody and we'll find Amrik and hold him also." Zodge says as he hands you the gold.
((200 gold added to each of your sheets.))
And for what its worth, you received the initial quest from Captain Zodge 1 year ago on Oct 5, 2019.
Your meeting with Captain Zodge is interrupted by the arrival of several Flaming Fist soldiers clad in plate armor. From behind this wall of swords and steel steps an armored woman with a white cloak and graying hair.
“Are these the maniacs who’ve stirred up every nest of rats in this gods-forsaken city?”
“Commander Portyr!” says Zodge. “I was told you wouldn’t be in Baldur’s Gate for at least another tenday.”
“That’s what the city’s government wanted you to think, captain,” she replies. Turning to you, she says, “I trust you’ve been adequately compensated?”
Tibi turns and looks at the others questioningly before turning back to Commander Portyr “yes we’ve been adequately compensated but what in Tymora’s name is going on?”
"It seems that corruption runs very deep within this corrupt city. That's what's going on. You have killed a duke of the city, but at the same time ended a very corrupt allegiance to demons and devils it seems. Much is interconnected but Patriar Hhune confirms your story and it seems the Fist and the city is in your debt. More is going on than it seems and if you can we would have Acquisitions Inc look into these matters further. If you think you have any chance to rescue Elturel, and Ravengard along with it, I strongly urge you to pursue that quest." Portyr says
Zodge also adds, "The Fist was requested by the watch to aid in the investigation of the Patriar Miss Hhune here going missing. We had gathered here to discuss the matter when you arrived. Your timing was excellent as I have other duties to attend and am glad the lady is found and brought home safe."
Portyr looks to Zodge "Did you sign some sort of contract when you set them to look into the cults? Or did you deputize them into the ranks of the Fist?"
"The Fist commander!" he replies straightening up and standing at attention,
"Good." She replies and turns to you,
Her voice is stern and commanding - "You are members of the Fist and have the badges to prove it right? I am your commanding officer and order you to look into the matter, seek how to save Elturel and find Grand Duke Ulder Ravengard and return him to Baldur's Gate!" She then sighs, "But I also understand you were pressed into this service. I will sign no contract but by my word Acquisitions Inc will receive 10000 gold pieces for returning Grand Duke Ulder Ravengard safely to the city. Fair enough?"
Gil would begin to pull out a contract with a grin on his face before the mention of the badges. With a sigh he would then pull out his badge from inside his robes instead. At the mention of the 10000 gold however, He would smile wide and stand up straight. "A verbal agreement will work in this case I suppose. We have multiple witnesses to the arrangement so I don't see why this should be a problem." Gil would reply quickly before looking to his companions. What do you say decisionist... 10000 gold should be enough to fund our expenses for a long time and even cover an expansion..." The verdan would add as he swallows hard... his mouth watering at the deal
Fisk steps forward. "I think I can help with where to start. Accompany me to Candlekeep and my employer can examine the box and she'll know what to do."
Commander Portyr smiles, "See, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened. A lead already. I am confident the job is in the right hands. Adventurers are best equipped to handle these things as they can often act in, well, unconventional ways. I can equip you with horses, food and any basic supplies you may need. Captain Zodge will see to your needs. Good day."
At that she turns and she and her escort leaves.
Captain Zodge assigns a man to gather what you request. "I've got to find Thurstwell's brother Amrik before he can flee the city." As a couple of the Fist take Thrustwell into custody.
“All right lads do we need to grab anything before we leave town?” Tibi says. He turns to Captain Zodge “we maybe able to help you with locating said Amrik.”
(OOC - any opportunity for going shopping - for magic items - before we leave town.)
Not sure what is happening here but I answered this question a day or more ago - Tibi would be looking for some additional protection items - e.g. magic studded leather and another magic rapier but upgraded from the normal +1 - Drabash would be looking for another magic axe and some sort of magic armour.
"Amrik eh, you know where he is at? I'll be headed to the Low Lantern next as that's where he usually is." Zodge says.
"The Low Lantern eh! I wouldn't bother going there my friend. Perhaps if you were to follow us back to our HQ we could satisfy your curiosity as to Amrik's current whereabouts."Tibi says to Zodge

I would like to try to copy more spells from the spell books I collected too maybe?
What kind of magic items?
