Li'riya and Bell's attacks strike true, as does the second of *****ma's arrows, but the first one struck 6 Messa right in her thigh. OUCH!
As the troll fell, Camilla slowly turned around to see Messa take the stray arrow from *****. "Ah ****."she groaned, frustrated. "Ok, you. Not only are you kinda rude to your granddaughter, who just so happens to be our friend, you don't have to shoot my teammates in the leg. You'd think at your age you'd know how to aim. Sheesh."
Giving ***** a glare, she walked over to Messa. "Hells. She must of thought you were a troll with that aim. Which totally isn't the case."she smiled and mumbled. "Wait, can you turn into one?"she asked, and yanked the arrow out, tossing it aside. She put her hand on the hole and magically stitched and sutured the wound closed - after a moment, it was good as new. She quickly put her gloves back on because it was so damn cold in this place, and tried to remain professional as she looked at Messalina's thigh - and her medical handiwork.
Messa was healed for 17 hit points.
"Come on."she helped her up. "Up you go. Good as new."
Camilla pushed aside two rugs of the shelter, and gasped. The interior of the shelter is surprisingly warm, thanks to a small stove and simple lamps burning aromatic whale oil. Carpets are heaped on the floor in thick layers, and tapestries from every culture in Faerûn hang suspended from a sturdy frame of whale ribs. Books and scrolls are stacked neatly on tables and reading stands made of hide and whalebone. The only furnishings in the shelter not made from these natural materials are the carpets and tapestries, and a portable writing desk that appears to have been taken from a sailing ship.
Seated at the writing desk is a female tiefling wearing a blazing crimson cloak over tailored furs. The cloak is fastened with a silver-and-ivory brooch bearing a design reminiscent of a stylized, branching tree — the symbol of the Arcane Brotherhood. Two kobold attendants stand nearby, glancing nervously between you all and the tiefling. After a few moments, the tiefling looks up with an expression of pale disinterest and asks,“Have you come to save me or kill me? Not that there will be much difference between the two." Upon glancing at Camilla, her disinterest changes dramtically. "Wait. Camilla?”
"Maccath??"Camilla breathed, walking closer to her. "Is it you? It is! What..what are you DOING here??"
"I can't. I'm limited to forms that are of roughly the size and shape of a human being. Which is fine, because there's not much benefit for me turning into something as ugly and stupid as a troll."

Ka'ralya snorts. "You are hardly in a position to be judging me, child." she says coldly to Camilla. When they find Maccath, she stays back, keeping an eye out for any more surprises.
Li'riya is still quiet, her continued silence unusual even for her as she continues with the group.
"I think we are, considering that for all of your supposed skill, you failed to notice the poison or the fact that the natives were going to betray us and you ******* shot me. We can judge you all we like." Before Messalina says *******, she puts her hands over Bell's ears.
To Maccath: "We're here in regards to some horn the dragon cult is using. And because Camilla was concerned about you."
Camilla wanted to retort to Ka'ralya remark, feeling her blood pressure go up, but Messa spoke before she could, and decided to let it go.
MACCATH'S PROBLEM
After a brief reunion and warm hug with Camilla, she looks at all of you and says.
"My name is Maccath. I am a member of the Arcane Brotherhood, a league of mages based out of Luskan at the fabled Hosttower of the Arcane. Decades ago, Arauthator attacked the tower during a time called the Rage of Dragons, and stole many magical books and scrolls from Hosttower. I decided on my own to set out and try and retrieve what Arauthator stole from us. I tracked him down here. When I arrived at Oyaviggaton three years ago, Arauthator would have killed me without a second thought. However, he saw the Arcane Brotherhood brooch that I wear and the ancient dragon decided instead of killing me that I would be the solution to TWO of his problems."
"First, the dragon possesses numerous items and writings stolen from the Arcane Brotherhood, some of which defied his understanding even after decades of study. Second, Arauthator had long sought a way to help his mate Arveiaturace overcome her grieving over the death of the wizard she once served. It's funny, his mate still has the riding harness attached to her back with the wizards corpse, and she still talks to it as if the wizard is alive. Replacing that dead wizard with a living one — me, and a member of the Arcane Brotherhood at that — seemed a perfect solution to him."
"I was smart enough to convince Arauthator that his offer had won me over, and it bought me time, I expected that I would eventually be able to seek a means of escape from this iceberg. However, I have so far been thwarted by Arauthator’s potent magic — including spells and rituals stolen from the Arcane Brotherhood — which have kept me sealed and helpless in Oyaviggaton, invisible to scrying and unable to use sending to call for help. Before Arauthator turns me over to Arveiaturace, he has had me deciphering his stolen writings, though the work has gone slowly thanks to the inherent complexity and danger of the material."
"But, Camilla..why are you here?"she finally asks.
"We need you to come back with us."Camilla said, "The Drakkhorn. It's been sounded very recently. The Cult of the Dragon is trying to summon Tiamat back into the Prime Material plane."
Maccath whistled, "Oh, that's not good. What are you all planning to do? I'm not leaving without what Arauthator stole, and he's not going to just let you leave."
"All of you failed to notice the poison, excepting the gnome, who subsequently hit the minotaur earlier," Ka'ralya points out icily. "However, I was more referring to Camilla's judgement of my interactions with my granddaughter, despite your utter lack of knowledge of our history."
"Stop it," Li'riya says quietly. "Both of you, just...stop it. We have more important things to deal with." She turns to Maccath. "Are you all right? Do you have any ideas on how to evade the dragon?"

Camilla turned around, truly doing her best to try and resist flinging a spell or retorting verbally to Ka'ralya.

And she did resist, hands clenched, physically forcing herself to turn back around and not get into a shouting match with that cee you en tee.
"My goodness,"Maccath noticed, "You turn a lovely shade of red, even in this cold."
Camilla took a few deep breaths and said, "I hate this place. So much."
"Yes!"Maccath agreed, "As do i. But I love the challenge of understanding the scrolls and books here."She looked at Li'riya. "I am fine, thank you, much better now that I know you all are here to bring me home. Know this, Arauthator has never lost a battle, and the only way to make him leave this place is to drive him away. He will not let you leave willingly. His mate, thankfully, is not around. She visits irregularly, and should not be near. The bottom line is, i'm afraid you only have one choice."
"With these."Maccath hands you a ring of cold resistance, and three arrows of dragon slaying. "I made these with the hope of escaping one day. You guys seem like the brave adventuring type. Challenging him is our only chance out of here."
