Elra sits up when she hears everyone else talking, "Oh, goodmorning! How did everyone else sleep?" She looks around to see if there is anything she can help with while folding up her blanket and stowing it in her pack. She pauses when Arvel talks about his deal, but decides to wait until she can talk to him herself before saying anything else.
Finnan looks a bit surprised and a bit guilty when Ethan tosses the silver. "Oh, you didn't have to... I didn't really mean... I just meant that if they pay you a thousand gold for reaching Phandalin, you can cut us in. It was more the general notion..."
Farnin chimes in to add "yeah, you guys realize neither of us have said anything worth actually listening to in, oh, several years now, right? On that note, it is my expert opinion that we need to get moving!"
Farnin scrabbles the last egg around a bit and dips two hunks of bread into it. He brings a few slices of bacon and a piece of egg laden bread each to Elsa and Fae.
The sun is breaking through the morning moisture as the two wagons get back on the road and continue south, the brothers whistling tunes and yapping on even when not prompted.
Anything anyone wants to do or address before leaving camp or during the morning hours of the ride?
What is your general arrangement for days 2 and 3 with regards to keeping an eye out, using Vincent, riding vs walking, riding on wagon 1 vs wagon 2, etc.? Whatever you decide I'll assume that is generally what you stick to unless otherwise stated. Use of Vincent is probably the most important subject, such as whether he flies 100ft overhead or scouts miles ahead, whether he scouts on his own and reports back or you are warged into him all day, etc.
For now I gather most people are with Farnin on the second cart, with Zeke watching the rear and Vicent watching ahead and all around. Arvel and Finnan are the only two on the front wagon?
Elra will probably just stay in the cart, sending Vincent to scout ahead and having his come back if he notices anything out of the ordinary. She'll then have him fly overhead and see through his eyes so she can try to describe what he saw.
Arvel lounges indolently in the lead wagon, leaning back to look at the sky, throwing an elbow over the front seat to jabber with Finnan, and watching his companions in the rear wagon.
Catching Elra's gaze, he sighs and leans his head back for a moment before sitting up.
"Okay, Elra. C'mon up. Your curiosity is burning so hot you'll set the wagons on fire."
Tarja wakes up with the first rays of light. She did not sleep well - the rain was nice, but the worry of goblins was not. Alone in the forest, she wouldn't worry, as she could find the right inconspicuous place to sleep and wouldn't be a target... but a crowd like this? Who knows what goblins would want with it.
She chews on the bacon and gets ready to move on.
For travel, I'm mostly walking alongside the front wagon. Just off the side of the road if it's moderate pace on open land or a pretty thin forest, or on the road if it's more dense or steep or we have to move extra-fast. (I'm assuming this is a narrow enough road that "just off the side of it" is, like, no more than 10-15 feet away from the wagon, easy to see and hear.)
When we pause somewhere, like a lunch or another short break, I'd wildshape-wolf and check out the area before settling down.
"Oh," Elra shakes her head, "It's okay really. My curiosity shouldn't trump your own health..." she sits down on the box anyways, watching as Vincent takes off from his spot on the cart and up into the sky. "I don't want to be the reason you get a headache every day."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zeke thanked Fae for the light as he stood guard just outside the camp - it would come in handy if those Goblins got closer.
Grateful that the patrol passed them by unnoticed, Zeke happily handed off his watch after a few hours and settled in for a dreamless sleep. Waking in the morning refreshed and eager to keep moving, he eats some dried rations out of his pack as he walks the perimeter of their little encampment to make sure nothing was missed in the gloom of the evening before.

As the caravan sets out, Zeke falls into place in the rear, checking their backtrail by regularly slipping off the road to watch for a spell and then loping to catch up with the slow-moving wagons. He's enjoying the banter between his new colleagues, even if most of it is incomprehensible to him. He likes the feeling that's building, the sense of comradery even after such a short time. It will be sad to watch them all fall to the inevitable doom that awaits them at the trail's end.
"Nah, don't worry about that. I pushed last night because you guys need to know the broad strokes. I promise if we come up against something She doesn't want me to say, I'll just not say it this time."
"Alright," Elra nods, "let's trade a question for a question then. I hate to be the only one learning anything." She pulls out her journal, "What's the Feywild like?"
"Haven't you noticed? Like warm honey tea for your ears? Soothing? Making it easier for you to open up to personal questions? Before my Voice came in, I used to have to work a lot harder at charming people. If we didn't know each other and we were in a tavern, I'd have you paying for my drinks right about now."

"Just one question at a time though, okay?"
