Empty? Mulligan thought as his tipped the glass expecting to get a nice warming sip of whiskey but go nothing... Not even a drip of a taste. Looking at the glass quizzically he saw a thin layer of ice trapping the amber liquid below it. He grinned and his eyes slid sideways towards Shae. She was most decidedly not looking in his direction, of course. He, mostly, suppressed a chuckle.
A little Prestidigitation and the ice was broken up, but not evaporated entirely. Mulligan lightly shook his glass to make the ice chips tinkle against the sides of the glass just enough to be noticeable. "On the rocks," he says playfully. "Nice." He then tips the glass in Shae's direction and takes his drink.
Mulligan openly engages the others in conversation about the BBQ scallions. He demurs himself. being much too much a carnivore to even try such a thing, but still he's quite engaged in conversation and his hand obvious and not suspicious in the least... But still, an invisible Mage Hand is summoned and put to work. Unseen to any, the invisible hand slips an item out of Mulligan's pocket and with some deft sleight of (Mage) hand a silver necklace is placed around Shae's neck for her to notice later... Perhaps the rogue will admit that it was his doing but he will never admit that he stole it during the party at which the two of them first met.
But eventually, all parties must die. As the crowd from the bar downstairs started to quiet and eventually empty, some of those upstairs started to grow restless. Mulligan sensed that it was indeed time to call it a night... Still...
"So long my friends," he said softly but in a tone that could be heard by all in the room.
"Farewell. Goodbye."
"I'd love to stay," he said, his voice started to weave a tune. "And play. And sing for a while..."
"But it's time to hit the road and say goodbye..."
"Goodbye to my friends," he sings and motions his glass to indicate everyone there. "I'm glad you were here."
"There'll be more time for us to grab another beer..."
"Cause I can't wait to see your smiling faces again."
"So good bye my friends, farewell and bye bye..." And he lets the song peter out unfinished.
"It truly has been a wonderful evening, despite the dubious start the morning took. And tomorrow brings... Well that shall be interesting to discover, shall it not? But we'll be together to take on whatever it is," Mulligan says, perhaps looking too closely at Shae trying to read her expression. "So truly, it has been an evening... And while I suppose we still need to arrange to meet up again on the morrow and discover what it does bring, I think poor Edwin and the kobolds are probably worn out. They are not used to staying up this late, or having this much business..."
((Telekinetic feat for the invisible Mage Hand. Sleight of Hand check of 31 rolled in the Game Log *should* get by everyone's passive perception?))
Hearing the clinking of the ice in the glass gestured her way, Shae would sit back, cross her leg and raise her glass in response. Light frosting would spider out from her fingers, decorating the vessel that held a bright red mix. She’d wink prior to taking a sip from her glass.
At the sight of Fang indulging in the scallions, even if it was just one, Shae would smile softly. Her expression would only grow even more soft with warmth when she’d catch sight of a thin trail of smoke wafting from their companions pouch. It could only be Mushu. When the servers would return with some raw fish, she’d prepare and stash treats for the familiar for when he wakes. It was more fun to surprise him or to hide it places for him to find.
During the discussion about the scallions, Shae would chuckle to herself when Mulligan would show his reluctance. It amused her because she related. Her preference was in fact practically on par with his, prior to crash landing in the jungle. She’d simply give the ‘carnivore’ a wry smile before plucking off a piece and popping it into her mouth. He truly had no idea what Shae, the Professor and the others endured during their traverse across the unknown and what could be in store for him should he brave the wild with them. Closing her eyes she’d audibly hum and allow for the flavours to dance across her tongue. Being on the brink of starvation, sometimes one has to adapt their tastes.
And when the sound of song began to fill the air, Shae would quietly muse to herself, lightly bouncing her leg resting over the other. “Interesting to say the least… An adventure for the books, I’d promise.” She takes a sip of her drink, her lip tugging at the corner. “The Merchant Princess would definitely be expecting us promptly, therefore I’d expect everyone to arrive ahead of time to meet together prior.” Shae would nod to Mulligan. “Although the night may still be young for some, I do respect the proprietor and workers need to rest and refresh for a new day…” She’d cast a smirk to playfully rephrase Mulligan’s words “‘You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here.’”
With a light hum, the purple haired woman would pick up where Mulligan’s song petered off, “So goodbye my friends bye-bye.” She’d slowly uncross her legs and rise from her seat, “Thank you for the open invitation, your kind applause and adulation.” Blue hues unwavering with a glint of mischief. “But look at the time, we got to fly. So long, farewell baby, bye-bye.”
You all part for the night and spend some restfull hours despite the humid air. For some of you, the sun and buzz of activity rises far too soon, and you all make yourself ready to be outfitted and finish the last of your preparations, before saying your goodbyes and heading off down south. Despite the early hour, the streets are packed with people going about their daily business, and although most of them talk in the local dialect, you catch some disparate snatches of chitchat and rumours, almost all of which deal with the amazing events in the pit the day before.
After a brisk walk, you all arrive within half an hour of each other at Kwayothé's residence, where you find O'Tamu already present, in a splendid green silk robe, with an intricate floral pattern embroidered in golden thread, which gave of warm sparkles as the hem of the robe caught in the slight summer breeze. Once you all arrive, he beams an affable smile and exclaims: "Welcome all, I'm truly happy you agreed to this endeavour, I know our friends from the Gauntlet desperately need the help. I apologise about the slight change of plans though: Your friend Otto has come to see me late last night, and we found another way for him to make good his attempt at stealing my artifacts. I have need of a man of his talents, which I saw on display today, and we've reached an agreement amongst ourselves. I'm afraid he won't be joining you." He then proceeds to produce a weighty bag made of fine black velvet and turns to Shae. "My dear Lady Shae, this he left for you. I believe, with that, his debts are paid. I'd say, don't spend it all in one place, but I think you might struggle to otherwise." He adds the last with a wink, as he hands Shae the bag filled to the brim with heavy gold, silver and platinum pieces and you realise that O'Tamu fronted Otto the bet earnings he still felt he owed you. Judging from the bag, the winnings amounted to several thousand gold pieces worth.
The merchant prince and archmage then turns to the Professor, and with another dip of his well- manicured hands into the numerous folds of his green tunic, he produces the Professor's signature clay pipe: "I believe, this is yours. You'd be glad to know that Whiff still resides inside the pipe, but they do so out of their own volition. As discussed, I've also been able to procure a monthly supply of tobacco for your summoning ritual. Inspecting the pipe, Professor Templeton sees the new brass inlay and taking a whiff of the tobacco mixture, he can sense the rich aromas of spices, incense and some charcoal.
The pipe can now be used for the purposes of the brass brazier of the find familiar spell. The pipe can cast the spell innately, so you don't need to take up the spell slot. YOu do need to use the materials though- 10 gp worth of special tobacco mixture. The bag that O'Tamu hands you contains 100 gp or 10 castings worth of tobacco.
"Now then, with that taken care of, how about we go and demand your fair payment from Princess Kwayothé?"

Fang is glad to be around Shae and Glasses again. He’s not so sure about this “Mulligan” person. Though Fange reasons to himself that he’ll give the man another try. He’s also still getting used to the other new person, Reng or was it Rang... either way it was much to close to his own name for his liking. He secretly wonders what other sort of bargain Otto made with the prince but doesn’t question him on the matter. He’s also not looking forward to being in the presence of the person that put him in jail. But they are providing supplies for their foray into the jungle and Fang really misses home... though he would never admit to it.
”Thank you, Prince O'Tamu,” says the Professor, gratefully receiving the pipe and the tobacco, “I have already familiarized myself with the arcana regarding this ritual, and I look forward to implementing it in person.”
”Are you sure you don’t have a spare defensive staff around?” tries Snively one last time, “I do have a spare spellbook and some coin I could trade with you for it.”
OOC: I see an unidentified jade figurine in The Professor’s inventory—if that is right, he will want to identify it as soon as possible. I am assuming the magic pipe retains its fog and misty step capabilities, correct?

Gerrard Feldren - Human Noble in Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
Hood up again the glare of the sun being in his eyes, Mulligan makes his way to the appointed rendezvous. He hims snippets of song and melody on occasion, but not for very long as the sound quickly reminds him of his over indulgence the night before. But it was a good night, he thinks. Fun. Fivolity. Some mild hijinks. Not enough hijinks, of course... But a good night. He also mentally goes over his belongings. Rapier, check. Flute, check. Daggers galore, check, check, check and check. Vest of many secret pockets, of course. Various sacks and pouches for plunder. Some dried rations, just in case... But still, he didn't really know what one brought on an adventure. The city had been hazardous enough for him, he'd never really needed to equip for deliberately going to seek danger in the jungle...
He bought a whip from a street vendor, just in case. He had no idea what he'd need it for, or how to really use it... But it looked cool hanging on his hip and he figured it might be something one brought. He considered a hat as well, something with a brim which would keep the sun out of his eyes, but didn't run across anything on his way to Kwayothé's residence. Well nothing that really worked with the rest of his ensemble, anyway.
"Typical Otto," Mulligan says once all have assembled and heard O'Tamu tell of this alternate deal the short sorcerer had made. "Unpredictable as always... Still, would have been good to have him along."
It was truly disappointing that Otto wouldn't make is. Mulligan wasn't really that great of friends with him but he had known him from around and was sure the dude's random wackiness would at least distract any dangers they might face. Still and all, Reng and Fang seemed more than beefy enough to handle the rough stuff... The Professor and Shae (mmm, Shae...) seem to have the magical muscle covered. Ideally, Mulligan figured, he can just hang out, throw in a little something now and again, but mostly take note for the crafting of stories and songs and such when time allows...
"That reminds me, O'Tamu," Mulligan says suddenly after The Professor had mentioned a spell book. "I totally forgot to bring a couple notebooks and pens for on the journey. I had hoped to chronicle The Who adventure in story and song..." Mulligan turns and looks at Shae, "And of course poetry..."
"You wouldn't happen to have anything of the sort I could borrow? I would hate to hold up the group by having to run back to my hov... home to fetch it."
((Mulligan grandly thanks O'Tamu if he does, waves it off as inconsequential if he does not...))
Mulligan makes a point of greeting and talking up both Fang and Feng. He does his best to read both and adjust his friendliness, praise and all around charm based on what they respond to. He's not trying to deceive either, just does he best to butter them up a bit. One always wants the biggest and brawniest to be your friends. "Hopefully I can learn some from you on the journey... Well, hopefully it's all smooth and easy and it doesn't come to swordplay or fisticuffs but, you know, if it does... You really were quite impressive yesterday. I'm sure I'd have been toast in that pit..."
Mulligan will tone down his boisterousness and charm when interacting with The Professor. He has no conceit of being able to hold his own in a debate or pure weight of knowledge but he can hold an intelligent conversation with anyone, he believes. Even if it's just by being willing to acknowledge when his knowledge is lacking and listening attentively and nodding at the appropriate times.
Shae, though... Mulligan did his best not to make a bee line for her. Subtlety and coolness were called for, he figured. No need to overplay his hand. Eventually he found himself standing near the beautiful enchantress and he just so happened to be singing softly under his breath as he did...
Her breath began to speak As she stood right in front of me The colour of her eyes Were the colour of insanity Crushed beneath her wave Like a ship, I could not reach her shore We're all just dancers on th...
"Oh, hi," Mulligan says brightly and turns to her, finally. "Sorry, was just lost in my own head there a moment... Whatever it was is gone now though. A shame, it had to have been some kind of world changing thought to distract me from you..." He smiles and laughs in admission of the corniness of the line. She wasn't one to be won over with mere lines and compliments. But she was definitely one worth winning over.
Shae definitely wanted to continue enjoying the luxuries and comforts of the city to its fullest before retiring. It was the last night before heading back out into the jungle. Though, it did have to come to an end at some point. Besides, some may have already over indulged and require a good nights rest before the big adventure. So with conversation, song and no dance, the party comes to an end when the moon is at it's highest. Yet, that's when Shae often got her second wind.
The woman would set out from a night of ED's on her own, allowing her feet to guide her home with her head was held high and her blue hues staring dreamily up at the moon. She hums an angelic tune to herself as she steps her way through the streets. Taking her time, Shae spends this quiet time to commune with the moon as she makes her way back to the inn where she had been staying. Some of Hope's other crew members had been set up here as well, Brax, Cliff or Thesselandra. She wondered if any of them were around and still awake, curious if they were coming. On her pass down the hallway, should there be any evidence of any of one of them being up, Shae would pay a personal visit.
Eventually returning to her own room, Shae would shed herself of her civilian clothing and begin getting ready for the journey to come. She never removed her bracelet though. And that's when she would come to notice a necklace around her neck. It's the only thing that stayed on too. Moving to a mirror she'd admire it for a long moment, allowing her mind to wonder how, and when, it appeared.
Shae had to clean up and begin shifting from a vacations freedom of relaxation, to work mode. Inhaling deep breaths, the medic would exhale out longing sighs all while she slowly began review her inventory and make notes as she packed. She didn't own much, but the things she did have of value were unique and one of a kind. They were indeed precious to her that filled her with emotions. They brought back many memories and reminded her of all the things that she missed. That hollow hole that she hid in the shadows, the one that filled with loneliness and reminded her of the cold emptiness of her place of rest. They were gone. It was a new chapter.
The next day came incredibly slowly thanks to her own procrastination, but eventually she did close her eyes to rest, 'allowing' the sun to come up. Shae dressed in skin tight high waisted leggings, knee high leather boots, leather waist and thigh harnesses and straps that held various pouches with a diverse range of supplies. She wore a matching under bust corset cinched over a ruffled chiffon blouse. Hidden beneath it all was sleek elven chain that was especially fitted for her, a silver necklace and a handmade bracelet. Another one of a kind item that the Professor would be able to recognize would be his staff design he was asked to collaborate with has come to life. Shae had a special strap for it at her back, wearing it proudly. Once ready, the purple haired woman would check out and begin her walk to Kwayothé's residence to meet up with the others. She was excited to see them again.
A warm smile would grow on Shae's face when they'd be promptly greeted by O'Tamu. Her expression would falter briefly at his announcement of Otto not joining them on this adventure, but it would recover knowing that the halfling would find excitement elsewhere, bringing laughter and entertainment wherever he goes. Those who are graced by his presence would not only have their hands full, but they'd also be incredibly lucky. Though that wasn't the only surprise the Merchant Prince had in store for them though. Her eyes would genuinely widen when he'd unexpectedly hand her the debt payment in full. She wasn't expecting it, but would absolutely accept it graciously, chuckling at his joke. He wasn't lying. This probably would be the only place it would have value and they could spend it. The funds would definitely be topic of discussion as it was at ED's. Now value could be confirmed. Although Shae didn't have a deep desire for coin, there were priority items she'd want to personally secure before to setting out. "I believe there will probably be a few things the crew and I would like to secure prior to finally setting out on our mission." She'd nod with a smile.
There was a lot of comfort in making this journey with Fang and the Professor. She'd want to make sure they, and any others had what they needed to be their most prepared. A part of her wondered if there was anything related to fishing that might catch Fang's attention. Perhaps there was some better materials for him to craft better nets or lures. As Shae pondered, fidgeting with something beneath her neckline, she'd just so happen to hear some singing sneak up near her.
"Oh, hi,..." Shae would move her hand and adjust her posture as Mulligan continued with his line. Her brow would quirk as it did. She'd allow silence to settle until he'd shift even the slightest, then her dimple would start to appear, giving away a small smirk would grow on her lips. "You could have had me at hello." A low chuckle would escape her lips. She'd then reach down into one of her pouches to pull out one of her many spare pens and notebooks. "Between myself and the Professor, we have plenty of supplies for all the recordings you like." Shae would hold out a leather bound notebook with chult constellations scribed on the front, tied closed with a feathered pen tucked in. "Here. Take one of mine." She'd smile.
While waiting for the prince to answer his question, the Professor looks up to see Shae approaching. His warm smile broadens when he sees the staff she bears, but he keeps his peace until O'Tamu has a chance to respond.

Gerrard Feldren - Human Noble in Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
Mulligan tilted his head a bit as a kind of bow of thanks and acceptance as he solemnly took the leather bound book into his hands. Turning the gift from Shae over in his hands he could tell it was well made and suitable for travel, not an overly delicate fancy intended for a writing desk.“Many thanks,” he said warmly and with a smile.
He took a moment to examine the cover. There was a constellation worked into the leather, a female figure outlined by stars.“Velessea, is it not?” Mulligan asks, tilting the book to be sure Shae could see the cover if needed.“The battle witch is quite famous in the north. They say she is tireless in her war against the hordes or goblin-kin…yet still finds time to aid travelers and the needy.”
Mulligan held the notebook pressed against his lips for a moment, as if in thought, then brought it down to hold against his heart.“I’ve always been one, and I suppose this journey shall make me the other as well.Thank you,” he says again, as he carefully put the book in a bag he carried upon his hip.
Reng allows Shae to sit beside her, and listens as she speaks and more completely introduces herself and the group. Things were making more and more sense now. These folks were swept up in the storm as well. Different storm, but also the same.
"Thank you for your respect. You have mine as well. Thank you for opening yourself to a stranger. Allies? People who protect each other? Allies? Yes. Those are few and far between. I used to have more. Well, perhaps not. I'm from Waterdeep. I miss it more than I can explain. I came to Chult on a voyage like a normal person would. Can't even remember at this point why. But I never made it. Pirates took the ship, and killed most people on it. I, well, I must have fought hard enough that they decided I was more valuable alive than dead. I worked their ships and raided and pillaged for years because it was better than death. Got pretty good at it. Protected those I could. Made some money. Got promoted to first mate. Some didn't like that. Tried to take me out. Left for dead. Spent some time in the jungle. Made some bargains. I..."and she pauses, clearly not wanting to talk about that.
"I made it back here and the city was full of rumors about me, planted, I guess, by my former pirate rivals. The Pit was inevitable, I suppose, given what this place is. I miss Waterdeep. But I will go along with this plan. To clear my head. Perhaps my name. We can protect each other, yes?"
She listens more about the bet, and nods, understanding that sometimes you do things not because they are right but because they keep you alive long enough to have a choice to do a future right thing. She'll make more conversation as needed, but she's fried.
Eventually she falls asleep in the private room. If she's awakened, she'll follow the party, as she has no place to stay and no money, and eventually climb to a rooftop and sleep there.
In the morning, after rejoining the party at breakfast, she follows to the Prince's house, and her jaw hits the floor when the gold is revealed.
If Fang reveals his difficulty with her name, she offers, "you can call me O'Malley, if you want."
(It’s not really an issue for him. He’s just used to everyone having very distinctive names. He’ll eventually give you a nickname of his own choosing. 😊)
Shae, as you approach the inn, you see no more lights up. Somewhat disappointed, you are about to head off, when the inkeep, a tanned stout halfling woman with a few streaks of gray in her hair, stomps after you. "Hey there, sorry to stop you in the alley like that... The lady- captain told me to deliver a message, when a person with blue or purple hair showed up here. You're the first that fits the bill." At your quizzical look, she straightens up: "Right, yes, the message. She said to thank you for everything, they were hired by a very wealthy patron and could finally afford to set up their own shop, that is, after they return. Said that they'd be leaving on the morrow, so they grabbed their bags and headed down to the port to make their ship ready."
In front of Kwayothé's estate:
Prince O'Tamu gives a broad smile at the Professor's question. "The pipe still does all the things it used to, don't worry. I did however decide to add another little flair, call it academic respect." He winks at the last, before drawing your attention to a very fine runic pattern running along the mouthpiece of the pipe, interwoven with the other decorations, but shinier and newer. Running your fingers over them, you realise that there are some rather powerful conjuration sigils that make up the pattern.
The pipe functions as before, but it gains the additional features:
You can use the pipe and the special tobacco to ritually cast find familiar to summon Whiff instead of the previous summoning for three charges. The new spell for three charges is stinking cloud, as you essentially create a noxious cloud of tobacco smoke.
Without any further ado, O'Tamu knocks the heavy brass knocker, and within a few minutes you're ushered into the estate by two large dark-skinned half-orcs in rich animal pelts and decorated with jade. Before long, the guards guide you into a spacious foyer with a small rainwater pond in the shape of a clover in the middle. Across from the pond, Kwayothé sits in a simple light yellow linen garment that lazily catches the morning breeze. She does her best to hide the contempt for you all, but can't bring herself to get up from her chair and instead points to the two side walls. You see large piles covered up with white tarps, likely the supplies that she owes you.
"Never shall it be said that Princess Kwayothé doesn't pay her debts. You'll find anything that you need for your journey, I'm quite sure." at her word, the two guards step to the side to uncover the vast stores of food and water, some wine and tej, insect repellent, collapsible rain catchers, collapsible leather buckets, several hundred feet of rope and climbing gear, several flasks of oil, candles, several bundles of tinder, sleeping rolls and tents.
"Should you want some particular item not yet procured by my staff, I'm sure they can accompany you to the market so that you shall get your tools. As for the journey, I've gone ahead and hired a crew, they are setting up your boat to take you downriver as we speak."
Is there anything you would like to check for or to ascertain that you have with you before making your way to the harbour and start on your trip?

The Professor puts a good amount of food and water in his handy satchel as well as some insect repellent. He says, “Thank you Princess, we should now have our best chance at helping those in need deep in the jungle.”
OOC: Snively is ready other than taking a few minutes to identify the stone in his inventory.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mulligan feels just slightly out of his depth here, mainly due to the fact he has no idea what a jungle adventure is like. Oh sure, he's went out into the jungle before... But not to like... Travel and adventure and like be far far far from civilization and supplies. So with all these supplies and such set before him he was just a wee bit lost.
But never one to admit any such thing, Mulligan played it cool and stayed observant. He watched the others and did his best to gauge what they took, how they stowed it and the rest. "You know, your mighty princessness, you have given us a full bounty here as far as I can tell," Mulligan says while loading himself up with rations and Bug-B-Gone. "Seems the only thing you really overlooked was a really convenient and hassle way for us to carry all these necessities. A hundred servants or perhaps some kind of portable storage shed... Obviously it is just your massive generosity in attempting to outfit us so well that led to this small dilemma..." ((Persuasion? 11 )
If there are weapons provided Mulligan will look over the selection very carefully. He is always on the lookout for more daggers (darn things get lost sometimes when one throws them) and upgrades in general...
Fang leaves the sorting of supplies to glasses and shae. That’s more their area of expertise anyways. Meanwhile he does his best not to return the contemptuous look towards the princess. Emotion isn’t often something Fang recognizes that he feels. But he has nothing but hatred and disgust for that women and it’s clearly visible on his face. Assuming someone is familiar with the faces of lizardfolk.
Inspecting the piles, you find tools aplenty, including shovels, picks and even handaxes and machetes and large knives, but their primary function seems to be as tools, there are no other weapons among the gear laid out before you. Seeing your looks, Mulligan, the Prince O'Tamu adds :"If your looking for any weapons or armour, that'll involve another merchant prince... at least for anything better than what you already have on you. Now, of course, you won your bet and can ask for Lady Kwayothé to fulfil your request, but she could reasonably refuse on the grounds that she's provided everything necessary to outfit you for an exploration of the jungle."
When the princess hears Mulligan's question for porters or containers, she gives a mocking smile: "The crew I reserved for you has ample space to keep most of these provisions, and from what Prince O'Tamu said, you should be able to spend most of your time until the outpost sailing or rowing along the river. As for whatever you want to carry with you after that, I'm sure the venerable Professor is able to carry whatever you might require with him, after all, he's already done so once, even without his new satchel."

When Reng took the time to respond, Shae would listen with no judgement. She wouldn't pry at the pause, allowing the warrior to continue the rest of her story. Shae would nod and respond simply with a heartwarming smile. "Yes, we can."
Prior to Mulligan
Shae's eyes would trace the cover of the book, following the pattern of stars Mulligan speaks of before flicking back to him as he caresses the book. Blue hues shone, smiling along with her lips. She'd muse to herself quietly, dipping her head to his final thanks.
As he puts the notebook away, Shae's eyes trace the five star pattern on its spine. "Corellon's Tears." She shares, glancing back to Mulligan with a slightly more somber expression passing over her visage prior to their attention returning back to the task at hand.
In front of Kwayothé's estate
It was difficult for Shae to hide her delight when Prince O'Tamu would present the Professor with his pipe. It was long awaited for, but well worth it. She couldn't wait to see him use it in all it's glory. It indeed must be quite magical now.
Standing back in silence, allowing Mulligan to speak his piece, Shae couldn't help but beam with pride when Princess Kwayothé would respond on their behalf, expressing the Professor's many talents that greatly contributed to their survival in the jungle. She'd be sure to give the Professor a smile and bow of her head in eternal appreciation of his contributions to their success.
Shae would then reach to grab a folded up piece of parchment and offer it to O'Tamu. It was a list of what she had wanted to ask him back at the party but didn't have quite the opportunity. She didn't know if anything could be done so last minute, if any of it already awaited them, or if any of it even existed but she'd pass him the list she had wrote herself. This felt the least offensive way to share her list of asks.
Note
Ask the Merchant Prince:
Offense/Defense - Silvered weapons or a smithy who can dip some (for others) - Any gear upgrades/augmentation (for others)
Maps - Full map of the Island (if we do not have it) - Any maps of lost cities (Lost City of Tamoachan) - Any maps of mines (Specifically silver)
Information/Lore - Anything on the Truanvils - Anything on the Battlehammers - Anything on the Mithril Hall
In turn, Shae would also nod to her head respectfully to the Princess. "Thank you Princess Kwayothé. I had no doubts you would pay your debts." She'd place her hand over her chest and dip forward in a bow. "These provisions are absolutely what we asked for. We will surely benefit from its quality, and spread the word of it." The medic would look to both the Prince and the Princess. "We only wish to ensure the success of our venture and will trust in the crew you've secured for us." Again, she'd show her thanks, moving to collect a few items to secure to her person.
On Shae's way by, she'd reach out to place a gentle hand on Fang's arm. "Would you like to look through things with me? Maybe find some pieces to add to your fishing gear?" She'd offer.
Reng steps forward. “If we’re doing this, then let’s do this. Javelin. Shield. Breastplate, or chain shirt, or even studded leather. Assuming you all don’t make a mess of noise tromping through the bush. I haven’t had coin for a while, so consider this a barter.”
(Is her small pack that was confiscated before still full of survival gear?)
Fang startles as Shae touches his arm. He was lost in though about all of the things he wanted to do to the person who wrongfully imprisoned him (at least in his mind). He looks through the available supplies with Shae for anything that might help them catch fish easier.
Mulligan steps closer to Reng and says "We're not stepping right from this room to the jungle, we'll certainly have time to grab you some things. I'm sure we kind find the coin between us. It's in our own best interest to have you equipped. As for the barter... Just have our backs out there and it's all fair and square, eh?"

So long, farewell baby, bye-bye.”
just an unstable unicorn.

Glasses:

Her breath began to speak
As she stood right in front of me
The colour of her eyes
Were the colour of insanity
Crushed beneath her wave
Like a ship, I could not reach her shore
We're all just dancers on th...
"Oh, hi,..."
Shae would move her hand and adjust her posture as Mulligan continued with his line. "Here. Take one of mine." She'd smile.
just an unstable unicorn.
Glasses:
While waiting for the prince to answer his question, the Professor looks up to see Shae approaching. His warm smile broadens when he sees the staff she bears, but he keeps his peace until O'Tamu has a chance to respond.
Gerrard Feldren - Human Noble in Ghosts of Saltmarsh

Mulligan tilted his head a bit as a kind of bow of thanks and acceptance as he solemnly took the leather bound book into his hands. Turning the gift from Shae over in his hands he could tell it was well made and suitable for travel, not an overly delicate fancy intended for a writing desk. “Many thanks,” he said warmly and with a smile.
He took a moment to examine the cover. There was a constellation worked into the leather, a female figure outlined by stars. “Velessea, is it not?” Mulligan asks, tilting the book to be sure Shae could see the cover if needed. “The battle witch is quite famous in the north. They say she is tireless in her war against the hordes or goblin-kin… yet still finds time to aid travelers and the needy.”
Mulligan held the notebook pressed against his lips for a moment, as if in thought, then brought it down to hold against his heart. “I’ve always been one, and I suppose this journey shall make me the other as well. Thank you,” he says again, as he carefully put the book in a bag he carried upon his hip.
Still at the private room:
I..." and she pauses, clearly not wanting to talk about that.
The night prior:

Prior to Reng
Offense/Defense
- Silvered weapons or a smithy who can dip some (for others)
- Any gear upgrades/augmentation (for others)
Maps
- Full map of the Island (if we do not have it)
- Any maps of lost cities (Lost City of Tamoachan)
- Any maps of mines (Specifically silver)
Information/Lore
- Anything on the Truanvils
- Anything on the Battlehammers
- Anything on the Mithril Hall
Maybe find some pieces to add to your fishing gear?" She'd offer.
just an unstable unicorn.
