Nadia is about ready to send off another arrow or two in the direction of the guards but stops herself when she sees one of the guards attempt to shoot them to no avail. There would be no way for even her arrows to pierce through a wind that strong. She clicks her tongue, then begins to move closer to the corner where the main entrance should be. She keeps an arrow at the ready had she seen/heard any guard movement from that direction.
Nadia moves and waits to see if any guards approach but with the main gate shut she's unlikely to get a shot off any time soon. The guards above shout over the roaring wind at one another with one clearly taking charge. We can't fire at them but they can't hit us either! Just hold your ground we have the advantage here!

Loosing the rope around a Portable Ram, he gets a solid grip with both hands, and takes a step back, before rushing forward to bash the door with it. Heargh...

Zack remembers the ram he pilfered way back when and finally gets a chance to make use of it and he does so with great success. Zack manages to partially break the gate from its position, opening a easy way in. Inside you can see two more guards in the courtyard who see caught by surprise. Seeing them Nadia quickly fires an arrow striking one right in the knee. The guards above shout Shit don't let them in! One of the guards from above moves along the wall and aims his crossbow at the opening in the gate preparing to fire at anyone coming through.
New initiative order: Nadia, V1, V4, V3, V7, V8, Zack, V2, Rollo, V5, Claire, V6. (7 and 8 are retreated st this point)
Rollo decides that thinning the herd a bit this time might be good and raises a hand up towards the guard preparing to fire at the entrance, calling fire down on him. sacred flame

The guard gets burned by Rollos holy fire and he desperately tries to put out parts of his clothes that seem to have caught fire. One of the guards from up top puts away his crossbow and draws his longsword and joins the others in the courtyard.
Claire points to the same archer that Rollo burned, and casts Toll the Dead. She then tries to see if the open doorway is large enough for her horse to get through.
Accidentally only rolled 1d12 for toll the dead. here's the second: 6
The guard somehow manages to avoid the affects of Claires spell after the failure of avoiding the other. Looking at the door you wager that you could not get your horse through at this time. If Zack were to give gate another good hit he could probably knock the door down and give you room for your horse. Another guard on the wall draws his sword and enters the courtyard. (Not sure what happened but the roll was a 21, not sure why it changed.)
"Watch your back for a sec!" Nadia shouts to Zack as he revs back for another attack on the door, hoping to use the opening he had made so far to get a hit off on the same guy she had shot. She didn't want to accidentally shoot the fighter.

Nadias arrows strike the man in his shoulder and gut respectively, causing him to double over. His friend grabs him and the two retreat back, heading towards the interior of the keep but unable to make it all the way to safety just yet. Two of the remaining soldiers on the wall move back to get a view of the gate and fire their crossbows at Zack. Despite his one if the bolts strike him (unless deflected) and the other hits the ground by his feet.
The typical flare of energy courses through his body as she see's the bolts flying at him, before the white-silver glow of the shield surrounds him to protect him from the bolt that had nearly struck him instead skidded to a halt only to fall to the floor near its brother. Moving out of the way as Nadia fired her arrows off, before shifting back into place, ram in hand, to try to finish the job.

With the door already damaged its much easier to bash it down the second time around. The wooden gate reinforced with metal clearly hadn't been well taken care off as after the second hit it falls clean off its supporting mechanism and falls flat into the mud. Claire would note that now she has enough room to fit her horse. As Zack stands in the entry way another bolt flys past him, landing in the mud behind him.
The guard once again fails to avoid the spell as holy radiance burns his skin. Once of the guards in the courtyard rushes Zack, two blades drawn. He makes two swings with his long sword, one of which misses and the other deflected. Unfortunately he managed to sneak his short sword through Zacks defenses and give him a decent cut along the stomach (baring magic deflect)
Claire rides up behind Zack and makes a strike with her Lance, the tip darting in over the fighter's head (10ft reach). She then retreats 10 ft to be out of Nadia's way, and to maybe cast toll the dead up at the archers on her next turn.
Claires horse rides in from the swamp and she quickly mounts it, rushing in and striking the soldier with her lance before retreating. A second soldier charges Zack, this one with a single longsword. The first attack is easily dodged but Zack is unable to avoid the second blow as it knicks his arm.

Nadias arrows flys past Zack and hits the soldiers shoulder. He quickly rips out the arrow and tosses it at the ground as another solider moves up to attack Zack. With two swings of his long sword the soldier manages to get two clean cuts on the fighter. Another soldier further back takes aim at Zack but his bolt misses and falls short. Another takes aim at Claire but the bolt is dull and bounces off her armor.
Zacks defenses hadn't flared up during the last few attacks, and they failed to do so this time as well. Zack had tried to summon his sword to block but both strikes landed solidly. The first one failing to fell him, but the followup, Zacks strength failed him as the sword appeared in his hand only to fall to the ground along with the ram as he fell to the floor, no longer able to stand, and the world around him went black.
