Finan catches up to the group, having sprinted after them the entire way. He had left his pack at the table, so while everyone was filing out he still had to run to the table to retrieve it, and made sure to snag a leg of meat from the table while he was at it. With a rushed courteous bow to Ombre he had left the establishment.
Throwing away the last piece of bone, he looks across the chaos, then steps up alongside Paren and Falaine."Are you wounded? You look like you've been through hell."
Jonathan immediately heads towards the gates. If there appears to be a guard in charge, he heads over. "Are you needing a spare sword?" He asks. "Sounds like hell out there."
Jonathan finds a guard shouting orders to those on the ramparts. They're a fresh faced tabaxi that Jonathan hasn't seen before. Their orders seem rather lacking in decisiveness and volume. They're doing the best they can but they're clearly not the person that should be in charge here.
"Can use all the help we can get. Something has the beasts all riled up and this gate isn't going to hold them back forever."
As they say that, the sound of wood cracking under pressure ruptures. It's small creatures at first like rabbits and squirrels that run past. They defintiely aren't what did the damage to the gate. The snorts of pigs and the laughs of a pack of hyenas erupts on the other end of the gate a loud slam is heard and the gate erupts open. There has to be nearly 6 boars and a large pack of hyenas that rush through the opening knocking over any guards that stand in their way and goring those that try to put up a fight. You can see arrows sticking into the thick hide of the boars and strange colored blood leaking from the wounds.
Jonathan is both bewildered and disappointed; bewildered as to what would cause such actions in wild animals, and disappointed as these aren't creatures that would serve as duelling opponents. "Very well, I shall fight at the front." He says, thankful he isn't wearing his best change of clothes today, but hoping his cloak doesn't receive any wear and tear. He makes to the gate to be ready to repel what is breaking through, rapier primed to skewer some boar.
Hearing the gate splinter Paren moves up beside Jonathan. He readies a strike with his rapier and prepares to hold the line. "This should be fun. On the plus side if we kill enough boars you might finally get that meal you want."
(Hold action: strike when a boar or larger animal comes by)

Finan looks up at the animals charging through the gate, and quickly raises his hand, only to close it and drag it downwards as he weaves power across the gap between him and the gate, hoping to slow down the charge, or even disrupt it completely.

Finan watches as one of the wounded boars smashes into the dry dirt road asleep. The stampede of creatures behind it quickly crushes the beast under hoof.
((You may all make an attack against a boar with AC 12))
With a curse under his breath, Finan quickly pulls out his rapier as the beasts come charging forward. That had done absolutely nothing to stop the charge, and now he'd find himself in the thick of it. Knowing it might do him little good, he still moves his right leg back half a step, to set his weight against the animals rushing towards him. He then pulls back his arm to stab the first one to get within striking distance.

The rush of the guards passing by is but a little distraction on her way to the gates.
The sounds of wild animals howling and snarling can be heard as loud thuds beat against the gate.
