Paren nods and looks to Falaine, "Just Brothers." He then turns back to the halfling, "Any ideas where we might find the man here in town? Perhaps he has the other goods we're looking for, or knows who does."

Turning back to Paren he offers a slight shrug, "Not sure. He didn't seem interested in the festival at all. Wouldn't be surprised if he'd left town as soon as he finished up here. Didn't seem the Holden Heights type if you ask me. More like a farmer's boy that was looking for a bit of adventure."
At this point, Tanni marches to the counter and places both of her palms on the wood. "Did this 'farmer's boy' or elf have a name? And who's Yaxl?" Quickly realizing how she interrupted the talk, she forces a strained smile on her face and adds, "If you'd be so kind."
Finan locks eyes with Paren for a moment, smiling slightly. He is enjoying this, especially since it is going well. Even Tanni's impatience was endearing, somehow. "And does this farmer's boy have any defining features we should look out for? Human, was he?"
He grins inwardly. Once he had just been a farmer's boy himself looking for some adventure. Still felt like yesterday, at times. It was certainly strange where life took you. It made him look around at his companions, wondering where they had come from. He knew a little of Tanni's history, and Paren had begrudgingly revealed some details, but he realises he still knows little of Falaine and Jonathan's past, nor would they know much of his. Perhaps he could share some of it soon, as soon as events stopped rolling over them faster than they could process them.
The halfling leans back on his stool at Tanni's aggression with a bit of shock on his face. "I don't take names for orders unless the delivery goes to someone in particular. Yaxl? He's the one that does the deliveries. Someone has to hold down the storefront while he's away. I do the logistics and he handles the travel."
At the mention of the elf, the halfling shrugs. "Seemed interested in the plants here but don't feel like he cared one lick about succulents. Keen eyes though on that one. Mentioned seeing some deliveries here but told him we sold it all. Told him he could find a better selection up in Thornwood."
"Yea. Human. Rough looking lad if you asked me. Looked to be a week or two behind on washing up too. Had plenty of dirt on him so not sure if his hair were light brown or blonde. Honestly looked like he'd spent the day in the fields. Not sure what he was doing in Holden Heights and not sure how he came upon the crates. Just said he needed a few deliveries made and that was it."
The halfling shakes his head, no. "No scrapes or wounds like that. Just like he'd been digging in the dirt or just gotten done tending to a harvest field and didn't bother cleaning up afterwards."
Finan shares another glance with the group, considering the implications of that description, then looks back at the Halfling. "When will Yaxl return? We might want to stop by and have a word with him as well. For now, I think we have all the information we need." He turns away from the man behind the counter, holding out his hands, palm up as he considers the group, "Unless you have more questions?"
"So a mud-covered man and an elf. That narrows it down." Seeing how they won't be getting any more out of the shopkeep regarding the two men Tanni is most interested in, she harrumphs and stomps out of the door. She stops just outside the door, waiting for others and fiddling with the small statue in her pocket, ready to pounce at the next potential clue they have.

I'm probably unable to post anything between 23-26.11. I'm going to a family cabin and there's barely any reception. Sorry for the short notice.
"It seems like the next place." Jonathan notes, "We should keep an eye out whilst we carry on, it would be a shame if another problem arises whilst we're getting somewhere."
No worries! For someone with so little time you're holding up great, and I'd hate to see you leave the campaign. You have an interesting character and we've got a good group going, so I'm happy to have you tag along until you've got more time in your schedule :)
"Halfling, I didn't catch your name, but thank you. I'm sure you know how to reach us if there's anything else."
He holds up an open hand as a wave goodbye, then follows after the group. Once outside, he slings an arm around Falaine's shoulder. "Yep, sounds good. Let's go. Her shop was near Shamara's temple, if I do recall."
The halfling looks to Falaine and says, "I don't deliver for everyone. It's a very specialized service."
Paren nods and looks to Falaine, "Just Brothers." He then turns back to the halfling, "Any ideas where we might find the man here in town? Perhaps he has the other goods we're looking for, or knows who does."

"And what about the elf that was in here before. He seems to be showing up in the same places we are."

Paren shakes his head and begins moving towards the door. "Thank you Brother, you've been most helpful."

The halfling nods. "He should be back later this week. He normally spends a few days in Caterona. He likes the fish."
Offering Paren a smile he says, "Good luck in your travels brother."
