The lizardman was too busy fighting demons to react to the warning and dive into that lovely puddle of water to his right. He got the full blow and only personal stubbornness kept him on his feet.
Rhayna gets back to consciousness thanks to Pax’s healing, and then she gets an extra boost from Kaylyn. However, right after that she hears someone yells “Die”, and she looses consciousness again. The last thing in her mind was to try to save the Modrons.

The wave of flames washes across the battlefield. The fire washes away the black clouds around Pax, scorching her and her armor as she staggers from the heat of the blast. The whirling sphere of lightning and rubble goes silent, rocks and pebbles dropping to the ground amidst the sudden inferno.
She looks about at many of her allies drop to the ground, glancing up at the big Minotaur next to her, relieved as its scorched body drops to the ground.
The sudden stillness is deafening. Besides two dead minotaurs, a few pools of ichor, three piles of modron dust, and and seven wounded travelers... the caverns are otherwise as silent and still as a coffin, and the weighty oppression of being miles underground returns once more.
Rhayna and Kirin are unconscious. (Kaylyn hasn't rolled yet but isn't at risk of dropping below zero)

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
The only good drow is a dead drow. The evidence of the truthfulness of that simple statement was covering the whole floor of the cave. Severely burned out Sekkar covered the distance to Vizeran almost in one jump with shining Dawnbringer ready to strike. "Give me one reason not to kill you on the spot!" Even if it would be his last fight, he at least could free the group of that murderer.
As the flames from the exploding Balor engulf her the shadows that wreathe her body dissipate and the light in the area around her brightens and returns to normal.
She looks around to see her fallen companions and is about to spring into action when she sees Sekkar cross the cavern and threaten Vizeran. She thinks she understands what happened.
"Stand down Sekkar, it was not his fault!" she yells. "He didn't murder anyone. I think the Balor would have exploded if any of us had dealt the killing blow. Such is the way of a creature like that, even in its death it inflicts pain and injury, It is over now. Help the others. Do not let them die."
Kaylyn then drops from the ledge and moves to Rhayan's side and kneeling beside her breaks out her healing kit and begins to stabilize her. Seeing that she is only unconscious now Kaylyn moves to Kirin and does the same.
If Sekkar has not moved she yells again "Sekkar! Help me! I can only stabilize them, I cannot heal them. My light has gone out!"
Vizeran flinches in surprise at Sekkar's sudden charge, but regains his composure quickly and curls his lip at the ranger's challenge. As the drow prepares to defend himself with magic, Sekkar notes from the corner of his eye that Kleve the death slaad is also preparing to defend his master, with a small mote of fire appearing in its claw ready to hurl. No spells are cast though as Vizeran's sneering reply is given: Two reasons, thou small-minded snake! One, thou cannot hope to vanquish the demon lords without my aid. And two, thou hath not the power to defeat me. I made a tactical decision, and will not be questioned by one such as thee.
He cuts off as Kaylyn interjects, and sneers again at Sekkar as Kaylyn's words back up his position. If Sekkar doesn't move at once, and Kaylyn's second plea is given, Vizeran can't resist spitting out one last jibe: Go on now. Slither away, little snake.
Pax rushes over to intercede, pushing herself between Vizeran and Sekkar. As she moves across the cavern a stream of shadows creeps across to Rhayna and sinks into her skin. 2 healing for Rhayna. (healing light)
With her back to Vizeran she slips between the two, shield up towards Sekkar. "Easy Sekkar. The demon exploded in its death...Kaylyn is right....it's not Vizeran's fault." When Vizeran adds his comment she glares back at him, "Not helpful."
A moment later another streamer of shadow slips across the floor from Pax and sinks into Kirin. 4 healing for Kirin. (healing light)
And then a moment later, assuming Sekkar backs down, she takes a deep breath herself. 6 healing for Pax. (2nd wind)
The drow could as well try to insult the walls around. That was not something that can sway the focus of a lizardman. Dawnbringer (that Vizeran dared to ignore) sang the song of war in his mind, and the enemy was so close he almost tasted its blood on his tong! But lizards do not get overexcited either - he did hear Kaylyn, and one would be hard-pressed to not notice Pax in front of him. "Have a potion on me, but maybe we better rest. Can call the safe house for us to hide and heal." Pax seemed to raise the fallen - at least those who could be raised - and Sekkar just helped Kaylyn to her feet. "I say we get rid of this spider. He will kill us all given half the chance. There are other pointy hats around, we even have one with us."He pointed at Kirin. "There are priests that can call their gods. We can find them. That one is here for his own gain, not ours, not the world's." Sekkar glanced at the drow. "They want you alive, so you live, spider. But I am watching you. When you pounce to kill - I will be there."
Sekkar suggests a short rest and can use the rope trick to summon a safe place for that.
Kirin takes a moment on the floor to sort himself out, flexing fingers and toes, looking around determining the fight is done before slowly pushing himself up to his feet, "This is why I like space," He mutters to himself before settling into a sitting position as he ignores the hostility before mention of rest is brought up, "I could use some rest. Didn't get much rest last night,"

Pax stands in front of Vizeran for a few more moments until Sekkar backs down. She takes deep breathes trying to calm herself. There is the calm one tells oneself exists, then the true calm that comes after you let yourself feel that which isn't making you calm. She lets the emotion creep through in a trickle in search of the true calm. With another deep breath she walks away from Vizeran and over to Rhayna as she casts her spell. The burns and charred flesh quickly recover thanks to the healing magic.
Pax nods to Rhayna, "Thank you for the healing. I'm sorry about the machines."
She glances around at the fallen enemies, making sure that none are alive with a quick thrust of her longsword. A magical spell sluices the dirt and blood from her blade before she sheathes it. She looks at the creatures, "Are any of these things Goristros? If so, we best gather the heart."
Finally she looks to Sekkar, "Yes, a short rest would be good. You all go into your rope trick. I will remain here with Vizeran and Kleve."
She goes about casting an alarm spell around her in a small area and then sits down and begins casting spells to clean herself and her charred gear while she rests.

That was a good decision, Sekkar was not going to invite the drow into the hiding space. "We will be nearby," nodded he to Pax unpacking the rope and summoning the safe house on the upper end of it. He helped those who needed help to get inside, climbed too and ruled the rope up.
Rope Trick for everyone to get some (short?) rest.
Everyone rests in Sekkar's hidey hole, while Pax remains outside with Vizeran. There isn't much to see, as the drow simply trances for several hours, then sits and reads his spellbook for several more. Kleve disappears and isn't anywhere to be seen, but reappears again just before the others emerge from hiding and resting. Vizeran makes no further comment about the battle, the death of the modrons, or Sekkar's or Rhayna's comments, but simply stands impassively waiting to see what the group are going to do next. After a brief discussion, the group decide that between Rhayna's future vision, the modron's coordinates, Kaylyn's sense of direction and Sekkar's navigation skills, they can find the place that the nearest goristros were supposed to be, and the journey is resumed.
After the last encounter, the group remain on high alert, and it isn't long before distant sounds begin wafting down the tunnels, rising and falling in volume from time to time. The now-familiar growl or screech of demons is interspersed with the cackle of gnolls, but they echo so indiscriminately along the stone passageways that it is difficult to know how far away they are, and impossible to know which direction. Frequently the group find tracks in the loose dirt - sometimes following them until they turn off erratically, sometimes crossing them as they intersect with other passages - by there is no doubt as to their makers: a pack of gnolls (including some very large ones) is hunting two goristro. More timmasks are found growing from the prints of cloven hoofs in the dust, and six more of the toadstools are added to the collection.
Kaylyn and Sekkar keep the travel in the most direct and safest route they can manage, avoiding the way of the predators and the prey as much as practical, and where possible taking tight passages that larger creatures would struggle to fit through. It is after taking one such tight squeeze that the group find themselves in a space that doesn't look like it has seen traffic in a very long time. Vaulted chambers bristle with stalactites and stalagmites, slowing the pace as the group wend across uneven floors. Moving through another narrow passage brings them to a cavern dimly lit by phosphorescent fungi, which ends abruptly at a cliff that drops away into darkness. Perched on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the chasm beyond, is a dark metal tower.
The square tower is twenty feet on a side and thirty feet high, with arrow slits in each wall. A battlement crowns its top, with a stone gargoyle peering over each side. Set into the middle of the wall facing the group is a sturdy-looking door made of the same dark metal as the rest of the tower.
