Initiative 13

Kaylyn grabs the figurine (free action) and disengages and runs from the room. 

With a squeak of surprise, Erky ducks and sprints from the room, before the skeleton's glaive clangs onto the flagstones. The others are forced to fend off the blows from the undead priests, but manage to avoid injury as they also withdraw from the room. Kaylyn is the last to leave, and manages to make a swipe for the dragon figurine as she flees. The moment the figurine leaves its alcove, a clear note sounds through the room as if played from a flute. The sound seems to originate from the altar, and is gone in seconds.

No sooner has Kaylyn cleared the threshold than the skeletons turn around and return to their coffins. Their turn is so sudden and unexpected that the skeleton Rhayna was pointing at managed to avoid the beam of light from Rhayna's prayer. Within moments the room is just as it was, with the candle burning on the alter, except the coffin lids are open, and the alcoves on the altar are empty.

"Anyone see anything valuable or should we just leave them to rest?" Kastix asked. He was preparing to torch the room with burning hands but they seal themslves. 

"I say we disturbed enough dead for the day," gave his opinion Erky, already calmed down.

"You are right, they are not at rest, but it seems they were brought to life when you took the figurine. Maybe we can bring them actual rest by returning each of the dragons to the alcoves." Royan looks back into the room to see if there is any indication as to which dragon would go in which alcove.

"They're followers of Tiamat, who cares if they rest in rest," Kastix stated, "Let them rot,"

"I don't know Royan.  They returned to their coffins as soon as I left the room with the figurine.   They are resting now and I agree with Erky, I think we should leave them be. If we go back in the room they may animate again and we'll have to fight.   Let's close the door and leave them be."

Kaylyn says.

@Royan: The alcoves appear to be identical. It is possible that certain dragons are meant to go in certain places, but the appearance of the alcoves themselves offers no clue. The flute sound that was heard when Kaylyn removed the figurine could also be a key of some kind.

Royan and Kastix push the door closed, sealing the skeletons once more in the cold room with the candle still burning on the obsidian altar.

The cat stepped on the remote control ...

"Let's move on," Kastix stated, "Temple of tia-freaking-mat of all things.  Undead and dragons. Just my luck,"

Kaylyn looks back at the room one last time, "That candle was interesting, but not worth fighting 5 skeletons for..." she says quietly.  "Let's keep moving, we have unexplored rooms and an orchard of trees to find."

Oh, forgot to mention... on the way to the fountain room, in that long zig-zag corridor, you passed two kobold guard who wave you through, and further along two dead goblins.

“I am not sure about you guys. I am really to call it the day.”

"I'm still good to burn," Kastix started. 

"I am not opposed to resting, but I can still move," Ireniana says. "I suppose we can do some more exploring."

"I am pretty sure you are misspelling the name," thoughtfully noted Erky, adjusting his now useless pince-nez, "but can not agree more - necromancy is not the art to be praised or studied. Especially in the dungeons dedicated to said art." He ordered the bear to follow and went with the rest of the group.

"We just took a rest, let's keep going."  Kaylyn says. "Back to the corridor we fought the gobs at.  We go on from there."

Rhayna will quietly follow the party.

when we get to the room with pillars, "Door #1, Door #2 or door #3?" Kastix asked as he pointed to the unexplored doors.
