The groups devious gnome appears momentarily on the portal two more of the meteors that orbit around his head like a halo blast off and slam into the yuan-ti, fire erupting around them. (No need to use Portent roll). A lightning blast hits another, sending him flying.
(Snake roll : 12)
The warrior manages to struggle free of the ice snake, and makes a run for the far end of the hall where the doors are, but doesn't make it as the combined attacks of the group finish him off.
Silas' angels drop the rest of the snake warriors and suddenly the battle is over. Though.....it seems clear not completely. These were only the warriors that were in this room and just next to it. The gong is sounding and you can hear the Draconic shouts and loud hisses of Yuan-ti throughout the temple. For a few seconds however you, have a respite.

Once, long ago, Ras Nsi was one of the original Chosen of Ubtao. A zealous defender of Chult throughout its long history, his story contains untold battles of epic proportion, defending Mezro through uprisings, the raising of the armies undead that long ago were lost to his influence and infect the jungles to this day of their own self-propellant dark energies. Transformed into a Yuan-ti during the spell plague Ras Nsi, Ubtao's only remaining chosen was cast out. Lost to darkness this legendary creature with his hundred years of epic past has seemingly come to an end, his decaying destroyed corpse lays strewn across the throne room, his blue inverted triangle looking down from the throne room wall onto the scene of his final demise. Amidst him, a half dozen yuan-ti bodies lay, burned by magic, cut by blades, and battered by holy energy. The group looks about their handy work, unaware of their own place in this epic story in which they are the seemingly the final chapter.
The icy scrapes of the massive frozen snake summoned by Sickle fill the hallway where the thing coils, awaiting the coming forces that can be heard rushing through the temple. The dull boom of the gong continues deep in the temple. The distant voices of the Yuan-ti yelling in the distance can barely be heard as they rush through underground passage towards the main throne room. From the water, splashing can be heard as more forces approach from that direction, including the sound of something large approaching through the underground river. Breathing heavily, sweat dripping down faces, the group's quick battle is done....but only for the moment. Badger quickly calls the group to the stone pad in Ras Nsi's private chambers. The only sign of the treasure that once lay heaped about the room is a few scattered silver and copper coins left during its rushed gathering. Badger points out the symbol that everyone should hold in their mind, and one by one with the chain link in mind the group vanishes from the pad. Mal, watching the secret doorway, backs towards the pad waiting for the rest of the group to proceed. She picks up a silver coin off the ground as she moves back....the imprint of the skull with dots in the eye sockets decorating its surface. Grenk vanishes. Badger moves towards the pad. She tosses the silver coin in the air, its shiny surface spinning in the dim light of the room. Badger vanishes. She steps onto the pad, puling the image of the chain link in her mind. She grabs the silver out of the air, hearing the sounds of the double doors at the end of the hallway bursting open and the ice snakes bulk moving to attack. Then she vanishes.
She appears in a dark room. Grenk is crouched by a iron grate pulling with his might attempting to lever the steel bars off of one of the pits. Silas and Sickle help, the heavy iron grinding across the stone as they slowly manage to pull it aside. Even as it's sliding wide, Boris is already clambering up, wearing only his underwear, his scarred muscled body pulling himself clear. He turns and reaches down for Orvex. Any guards that may have been out in the room beyond are gone. From here, glancing through the bars you see a bloodstained altar in the middle of the room. It has shackles bolted to its top and niches carved into its sides. Housed in each niche is a human skull. Grooves run down the altar to gutters on the floor, stained with spilled blood that clogs two drains that lead into the walls. Clay urns overflow with wet bones and gore. A door leads to the right, and a hallways leads away on the far side of the room. There is no sign of guards, and the sound of yelling is fairly distant from here.
A few moments later Ham is hauled out of one of the pits and then Mandra, water draining from her undead face which is swollen and badly falling apart due to being submerged in water for days. "Abloott bloovvy thymmm.....curssthed thithtss..." a chunk of her lip, rotted and swollen falls off and hits the floor. Her visage is now truly horrific to look at, one eyeball is missing. Her body also looks to be rotting and she seems in much worse shape that she'd been previously. She seems to be having trouble standing. There are two other people here, a man and a woman that look weak, malnourished, and frankly stunned that they are no longer contained inside a pit and doomed to be a sacrifice.
The distant sound of the gong can be heard echoing down passageways.

Seeing the room around her Mal would ask if anyone has a crowbar and if not will hopefully be able to grab a piece of iron and break it from one of the cages. She will then approach the later and attempt to destroy it as best as she can, prying it loose from the floor if need be.
[OOC: If she is able to remove it from the floor, at least the top or some part of it, she will attempt to carry it and then toss it into the lava if they happen to come near a pool.]

Too weak to help with heavy iron bars, Badger will cast Arcane Eye and spend the 10 minutes scouting as much of the adjoining passageways as possible (in 10 minutes, should be able to cover up to 3000 feet). Looking chiefly for the quickest way out, as well as where the closest portal circle is to the exit, and where enemies are concentrated.
(Also get back a 3rd-level spell slot due to Expert Divination) (Also, will have to drop concentration on the meteor spell, so lose the last two meteors)
Ooc, can any of that be done without releasing the Grenk's grip on his sword? If he does he looses his crimson right effect. If he does have to let go not a big deal if we get healing as he'll just have to do it again.
Grenk looks the group over. He ponders a second and shrugges but when his eyes goes over Mandra he tenses a little, scowls but holds his tongue in regards to the undead woman. With one hand he pulls out a mace and offers it to any of the them. Then will do the same with a handaxe and finally a dagger. "Best not be empty handed. Stay in the back, only step in if you feel ya got a clean shot or easy kill."
Grenk will be grudges ask Mandra if she can tell him what type of sword or sheild he has but keep his eyes on the the main entrance ready to attack if need be.
Grenk manages it all with the sword still gripped in his hand.
Ham steps forward and accepts the mace, while Boris accepts the hand axe, tossing it in circles in the air to gauge its weighting. Grenk approaches Mandra, but she raises both of her hands as if to say, "No thanks." Her face is ruined so it's difficult to tell what expressions she has. She also can't speak.
Ham quickly asks for some paper, scribbling on it, he writes down, "Can't leave without my sword."
Badger whispers arcane words and then focus' as he begins flying the small invisible eye around the temple. The sounds of movement and shouts of Draconic (too distant to be made out) continue to be heard throughout.
The eye flies out and glances about at the door to the north, but it seems suitably sealed, so it heads down the passage. It finds a door on it's right that has been left open. It flies inside, looking around. A haze of incense lingers inside the chamber. Faded murals decorate the walls, and throw rugs and cushions lie scattered on the floor. An engraved chest rests in one corner next to a stone urn covered with snake carvings. The room is empty of people.
The eye flits out and heads down the hall into a large entrance hall. Two snake soldiers stand here, nervously clutching their weapons and glancing about alertly. They stand near a large set of bronze doors. You recognize this as they other side of the main doors into the complex. Coiled serpents decorate the metal, with a sliding hatch at head height. Four-inch-wide holes pierce the base of each door. At the base of the doors is a large trench. Metal grates have been pulled aside to reveal them openly, where hundreds of snakes slither about at the bottom of the 5 foot deep trench. A wide passage opens on the left, at the end of this entrance hall.
Back in the room, a snake warrior appears standing on the platform in the room. He glances around, hisses, and then vanishes.
Grenk asks, "Didn't we find a few shields? Can we pass out the extra's?" He patiently waits staring at the door otherwise just anticipating a fight to come.
If able not to interrupt the spell casting, "Mal? Can you open the door?" Silas asks before returning to his spell.

As Mal checks the door to see if she can unlock it, "Badger can you do your trick once more and then we can tunnel our way out? I assume that snake thing that just appeared and then quickly disappeared will be back with more."
The gate is locked by a shaft that goes through its bottom. It's also a big heavy portcullis.
