The frog seems to stop and look up at Badger. Is that love in its eyes? It's tough to say. Either way it hops obediently towards him and clambers up on its boot, turning to face forward. You can almost hear it say, "Forward great steed, take me forward."
The group reaches the top of the stairs, but no one seems willing to take point and choose a path.

Hearing Mal get snooty, Badger retorts: Well he didn't attack you from behind then, did he?
As Grenk shares his vast knowledge of fairy tales and curses, Badger glares at the huge warrior and mutters 'simpleton' under breath. The gnome's foot seems like a rather awkward spot though, so Badger picks up the frog and places it on the top of his helm like a green slimy crest.
Bringing up the rear of the group, and seeing that no-one is making a decision, Badger calls forward: Hopkins says to go left.

You turn left an appear on a balcony overlooking the bottom of the grand staircase. Here, a resonant mechanical rumbling emanates from a dark shaft opening up in the middle of the chamber's floor. Four cylindrical stone pedestals surround the shaft, each ten feet tall, five feet wide, and featuring a tiny slot in its side. Squatting atop each pedestal is a large four-armed gargoyle. A hallway leads away to the right, from this balcony, and then if there are stairs leading down to the lower floor area one side of the balcony, stairs leading up to the level above on the other, and a ten foot wide hallway that leads away on the far side of the room. The frog perched on Badgers helm makes a dull ribbit sound.

Silas figures, from before, that as long as they don't really leave this balcony, they probably haven't left the room. You turn right and head down the hallway, the gargoyles do not stir.
The hallway goes about sixty feet then reaches a T junction. To the left, it goes down over 80 feet to a door...that....looks familiar....oh yes, you witnessed one of those armor golems walking through it. Or...to the right, you see it goes 60 feet into a dark room.

Directed by the bossy frog, riding on the helm of the gnome at the back of the group, the party turns left. Ahead, you see the hallway opens up into a dusty room fifteen feet square and empty except for an ornate, rectangular mirror mounted on the wall opposite the hallway.
And, what's our marching order here, please re-arrange my random guess:
Mal, Grenk, Silas, Sickle, Badger+Frog.

With dark looks Mal would lead the group, making sure to keep an eye out for any more traps that will be in their way. She would also continue to look back at the group, keeping an eye on them as well. "Yea, there is no way I am approaching that mirror as I am sure it is Magical. Badger this seems to be your department." Then Mal will hunker down at the edge of the room, loaded crossbow at the ready.
Badger moves toward the front, apparently in conversation. No, of course I'm not sure it's safe. We are in a dungeon created by a sadistic lich, and you ask if it's safe? Really, Hopkins! Were you born yesterday? Now shut up while I concentrate. Badger begins by casting Detect Magic. He then looks the mirror up and down, trying to make an educated guess of its function (Arcana: 23). If none of those glean any useful information, he will squat down in front of the mirror, touch its surface and cast Identify as a ritual. All the while muttering as he discusses his academic thoughts with Hopkins.

Sickle calls, “Wait...I’m a bit turned around...but didn’t we see one of those guardians hiding behind this mirror on one of our journeys through the back passages?”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mal CHA Save: 15
(OOC: Saying this before we went down the hall and into the room.] Mal listens to Sickle's response and continues to stare at him, then begrudgingly says, "Fine, whatever, still don't trust you with that thing on."
After her expression of distrust to Sickle, she leads the party down towards the room. She's not even with 15 feet of the entrance when the obvious mirror is sitting there reflecting their approach from down the hall. She looks....thinking she might just see a symbol or something above the doorway in the reflection.
Grenk...Mal's lithe form is just five feet in front of you when she issues a terrible scream, as her whole body seems to turn into a blur and she is sucked forward into the mirror. The last thing you hear from her is her screaming, "I HATE THIS PLAAAAACCCCEEEE"....
The mirrors silvery surface seems to ripple briefly as she vanishes into its surface. Then it's still, and the group stands there in sudden surprise.

"Toasted Gods damn toads, I knew. Damn mirror was either going to shoot something out or suck something in." He sheaths his sword, drops his pack and then pulls out his rope and grappling hook. Staying where he's at, he tosses the hook at the mirror hoping that maybe he can pull Mal back from where ever she is.
"This tomb really like to suck people in I say," Silas comments as he sidesteps out of the mirror's front area and if hook doesn't go through, "Tie a rope to someone and they go through?"

With a cry of alarm, Badger scoots to the edge of the hallway. A magic mirror that sucks you in? he ponders. Is it activated by proximity or action? Carefully he lifts Hopkins down from his helmet. OK, Professor, it's time to be brave. I want you to hop towards the mirror with your eyes closed. Can you do that? Badger will then watch the frog's progress, but careful not to look at the mirror himself.

(And lastly, Sickle would have let Mal know that the ring was tapped until dawn...whenever that is...)
