Badger is a little repulsed by the death throes of the acid-eaten spider beside him, and he turns his head aside, only to catch sight of Boris being dragged into a gap in the webs. His fingers grasp in his pouch for a pinch of fine sand as he jogs toward the gap, trying to estimate how fast and far the spider could travel with its prey. Then he stops, sprinkles the sand with one hand and wafts it with the other as he intones a spell...

Soothing waves, distant thunder; sandman cometh, he bids thee slumber.

Move 25' toward spider's last location. Cast Sleep at 2nd level, at range of 80' in direction of spider's travel for 31 HP (unless the spider is already dead)

Sir Darak Darkhall: Chasing after the spider making off with Boris, Darak aims and fires a blast of black energy at the beast.

"We don't leave anyone behind! " Silas attempts to move towards the spider dragging Boris as he did last turn and attempts to unleash a Guiding Bolt at level 2.  

Attack: 20 Damage: 13 Radiant Damage and next attack on the creature will have advantage if this hits. 

Silas leaps forward, pushing into the webs, just seeing the back hind quarter of the spider as it drags Boris, he unleashes a blinding flash of light that slashes into the spider that shrieks in pain, but continues trying to make it away with it's dinner. 

Sir Darak, lagging behind Silas, goes rushing through the jungle after Boris, trying to target the creature, but it seems to have fled into the undergrowth and webbing trying to hide with it's food.  He sees Silas get a shot at it, but Silas is quite a ways ahead of him into the bushes. He curses and, failing a target, continues rushing forward, pressing into the area with thicker webs covering all the leaves, slashing back and forth trying to clear the way as he reaches where Silas is. 

Badger leaps in that direction as well, unleashing his spell.  He can't see the spider, but he can see, far enough through hazy web and gaps in the leaves a spot where he thinks he'll be able to get the spider.  

Silas witnesses the thing suddenly slump, releasing Boris and ceasing to move.  He also sees another spider, this one smaller (the size of a dog?) and much hairier scurrying through the webs from the direction of the ambush, up in the branches towards Boris.  It takes him a moment, which includes his heart skipping a beat, before he recognizes it as Sickle's spider form rushing to help.  

Meanwhile, back with the rest of the group, Azaka is still battling the last massive spider while wound up in web, struggling to get free. (7)  The spider, done trying to bite Azaka for the moment, grabs her by the leg and starts dragging her away into the jungle. 

Kasaaptu unleashes her 2nd blast of dark energy at the one on Azaka but it flies wide smashing through underbrush. 

One spider has retreated into the trees above. One is smoking and dead. The one with Boris has sleeping. There is one left pulling Azaka into the underbrush. 

Everyone can take your next actions. 

Badger, unaware of the effect of his last spell, turns his attention to their struggling guide. He stretches out his arm, index finger pointing at the spider and thumb extended, and yells Fire! and small ball of fire shoots toward the spider.

Cast Fire Bolt at Azaka's spider. Attack: use portent (14) 19 Damage: 2

Apologies, since Azaka was up front, the Spider uses it's action to drag her (kicking and screaming) 30 feet away, which also puts her out of sight for ranged attacks.  Badger, please let me know what you do instead, lacking a target for your (very powerful) fire attack. 

Silas will dash following Azaka with his war hammer and shield in hand, casting Divine Favor with his bonus action. 

okay ... not sure exactly on the layout, but I'm thinking only Badger, Yroc and Kasaaptu can see what happened to Azaka, and the others cannot, so it's up to us two to keep track of her and not lose her in the webs. I'm not sure exactly where Badger is but I guess he has 25' of move to try to stay within sight of Azaka, and if that's not enough then he will cast Misty Step as a bonus action to get closer. If that's enough to get within sight of the spider, then he will cast the Fire Bolt spell. If it's not enough to stay in sight, then he will Dash instead.

Badger turns, seeing two warriors and a spider racing after Boris, and turns towards where Azaka was. He races 25 feet but still can't see her, but spotting a branch high above within the webs he summons his magic and with a 'woooosh' arrives there.  Looking down, he sees the giant pony sized spider dragging the kicking and very upset Azaka.  A fire bolt zaps down and singes the spider, who shrugs it off and continues to pull her away. 

Silas, feeling like he's playing whack-a-mole (what's that he wonders), turns from where Sir Darak is, near Boris, and races through the jungle back to the original ambush spot, getting there this turn and seeing Badger missing, Azaka missing, and Kasaaptu and Yroc..... (to be determined) 

Yroc, Kasaaptu, Sir Darak, Sickle, your actions. 

Just to help everyone clarify positions, here's the map starting with Round 0:

Note, the areas of "webbing" are just where the webbing gets thick enough to make the terrain difficult.  Even the area the rest of the group is in, has a thin net of webs, especially above where it's thicker.  It's just sorta started here and the group had halted, noting it gets worse ahead.

Krull with fly to try and spot the spider with azaka while she runs after them following the others trying to stay in range. If Krull can locate them

Kasaaptu will cast bonfire in front of the spider, hoping to turn it back or roast it into releasing Azaka

 Sir Darak Darkhall: Continuing to trudge forward toward Boris and the unconscious spider, Darak reaches a hand into his pack to retrieve a torch.

(OOC: With only the spider engaging Asaka left visible last round, Darak would have attacked it instead with his Eldritch Blast.)

Krull flies up and spots Azaka and the spider.  Kasaaptu spends your action getting closer and also moving your perception so you can see through Krull's eyes.  Next round you'll be able to cast Create Bonfire. 

Sir Darak did fire a blast at the spider fighting Azaka, injuring it, but not dropping it.  He then gets back to where he would have been, pressing forward towards Boris. 

Yroc, Sickle, let me know what you do, but moving ahead...

The only remaining active enemy grabs Azaka by the leg and begins scampering it's way up a tree into the webbing, moving around above the trees with relative ease, aside from it's squirming angry meal.  (It's moving half-speed, since it's struggling to pull along the squirming Azaka), but it does have full cover from everyone who doesnt' move up into the webbing, and partial cover from any ranged attacks from people who come into the webbing.

Ack, sorry Sir Darak, I think you're actually 3 squares closer, so you've arrived at Boris and the Spider.  My bad!

Since she cant cast bonfire, krull will transform into a spider and go invisible on this turn, so as not to draw friendly fire for the next Round of the pursuit 

Spider Sickle will run towards Boris and begin dragging him out of the webbing unhindered, back towards the group, leaving Sir Darak to defend them as they move back out.

Silas will dash to try and catch up with Azula and the spider dragging her away, engaging with spider if possible.
