Fire and blast of magic fill the room as the creatures screech in surprise, pain, and anger. Before the battle has started two of them (1 and 3) are already down, their smoking corpses burnt and unmoving.
The ones that are left are suddenly entangled in an explosion of weeds and vine that sprout up through the cracks in the rock floors and walls.
Everyone roll init. The hapless dino's go at: 13.
Regardless of what the group is doing, their turn will entail of them trying to escape the weeds:
D2: 14 D4: 19 D5: 18 D6: 13
Everyone take your action. If you beat the dino's initiatives, take two actions!

The battle is quickly over. The ice shards slam into them, leaving them gravely injured and a few moments later the last three are also dead.
The room is scorched by the fire. The group peeks around the room. There are numerous bones, and several cooked eggs with now dead creatures inside them. There are the remnants of perhaps five humanoid bodies here. Most have been picked clean. Patches of leather armor, chain bits, shreds of clothing and backpacks, and a lot of generally broken gear can be found here. You find a few hundred small steel ball bearings collected in a pile, a few torches, a couple rusty daggers, a rusted sword, a half dozen arrows. Amongst the trash however you also find a helmet. It's gleaming steel is engraved and fancy, and upon touching it you quickly realize it must be magical.
The group is no longer shrouded by Sickle's magic, as he had to release his pass without trace spell to cast entangle.
The group watches in sick fascination as three of the dinosaur creatures push themselves up in a parody of life, and begin to shuffle around with strange wobbling motions. Their dead flesh still smokes.

There seems to be not much left to identify. The dinosaurs were very thorough with their consuming.
An hour passes as the group settles down in the room, the zombies standing nearby, as Badger identifies the helmet. It's quiet here, and relatively protected. The hour passes without event. Boris sits and begins cleaning some weapons. Silas eats a bit of food, as does Sickle. Mandra meditates in the corner. Badger eventually opens his eyes, holding up the helmet.
(Badger only needs 11 minutes to cast Identify, but happy to take a 1-hour short rest if required.)
(Any takers on the helm? I would suggest Boris as he has few non-combat abilities and no magic items at present, but perhaps if he is absent then perhaps someone else?)

[OOC: Attempting to stealth my way into the group and sit down near one of them without them noticing.]

OK, well I have traveled in worse company, recently actually so I could do better. And really do I have any choice in the matter, its not like I have a choice here. So either step out into the room or let something in the jungle take me, and quite frankly I do not want to die alone to one of those creatures out there in the jungle. chuckling, not like I will last much longer with the loss of blood anyway so besides my life what do I have to lose.
Wonder how long it will take for them to notice me, thankfully they seem like a decent lot. I might have found some new companions.
Eleven minutes later Badger stands up with the helmet. "Who should this be for? It lets you read minds and talk to people and stuff." Everyone looks around as they consider. It takes just a few moments for people to catch on. Some individuals catch on sooner than others. Perhaps it was the three zombies that made everyone's poor brains confused. But, after a few moments everyone begins to realize that there are definitely too many people in the room. Crouched by one wall, partially in a shadow, with a grey cape that helps her blend into a pillar, sits a figure that no one here knows. You're not sure how long she's been here. The group puts hands on weapons, and stances become defensive. Small shiny droplets of dark blood splatter the ground near her. As she stands, hands out to demonstrate she means no harm, you see cuts, bruises and blood over her body. Based on the sound her ribs make as she stands, you figure something is grinding. Silas, you think you see a fever coming on, though since you don't know her the redness in his face could be a sunburn, or any number of other things. The woman wears studded leather armor, sports numerous daggers, and a heavy crossbow on her back. She looks thin, but has a certain grittiness about her. Her motions, despite her injuries, bely grace. Her eyes are alert and seem to catch every motion despite the obvious pain she is in.

Badger inspects the dead bodies, deciding that several of them are sufficiently intact to be useful, and casts Animate Dead on three of them.
If there is time, Badger can ritual-cast Identify on the helmet. Otherwise he is happy to carry it until he does have time.
