Soon you are heading out of town, and off the road, into the forest and uncharted wilds between Leilon and Phandalin.
"Keep your eyes on the lookout." The gnome herder calls from where he strides along near the back of the herd of giant goats. "Goats aren't likely to just plod along like horses, these guys can get things into their heads and be off on a tangent without warning..."
Crexibis keeps his eyes peeled as the group heads out after the herd of goats. His skeleton lumbers just behind him, its bones clacking with every footstep. He stays near enough to the others to hear if they notice something, but he doesn't initiate a conversation with anyone and instead just walks silently as he picks his teeth with his fingernails and eats the bits and pieces of flesh that have gotten stuck between his canines.

Bella moves silently along the periphery of the group, using her skills disappear for minutes on end, always with an out for possible danger...or opportunities to further the mission...all of her missions.

Seruk takes the time to switch his familiar to a tressym and send it out scouting the path ahead, he then moves along the back, helping to drive the goats if needed.

ooc: You spent an hour casting Find Familiar, while we're herding goats?

Would have been done prior, I just forgot to switch it over.

The trip goes uneventfully for the first couple of days. You ride throughout the day, keeping the goats together as best you can, and leading strays back to the main herd when they wander too far away. At night the herd is clustered together, with each of you taking turns at sentry duty.
On the third day though two large shapes appear in the sky, flying overhead, but not looking to wish to try for the goats. They are wyverns, though clearly are not coming aftre such a well-protected herd of goats.
The goats clearly don't realize this though, and they start to panic...
I need Wisdom, Animal Handling, checks from everyone.
Pinchwit is clearly impressed with your skill. "Seems like that old growler knows what they are talking about." He says with a grin as the goats are all kept from bolting off in different directions. "You guys surely be knowing a think or ten about herding goats. I likely could have just stayed back in Leilon, and left this all up to you." He grins, clearly making a joke.
You manage to easily keep the goats from getting separated, and, likely, getting the interest of the wyverns. Those beasts continue to fly away, obviously not wishing to mess with you.
Crexibis, Aria, and Bella After the wyverns have passed you find yourself with a new friend. Each of you have one Giant Goat that has become your new constant companion. It follows you around and won't stray far, always nearby.
Pinchwit frowns at the goats. "Looking like we lost a few in that wyvern fly-by regardless." He says with a sigh. "Not going to be able to sell those three, as they aren't likely to let themselves be parted from you now." He sighs and shrugs. "Likely worth it though, as the wyverns would have taken a lot more of them if the herd had split up."

Reginald rides his skeletal warhorse, keeping the more rambunctious of the goats from getting too far away from the main part of the herd.
(Reginald's busy right now, so just posting this for him...)
Aria follows along with the group whistling a tune to herself, keeping an eye out for any trouble.

Any response from you guys, or shall I just move on to the next thing?
I'm good to move on.
