Bella stops at the door, her disdain for...voting...clear in her voice. "I vote I go check out what's happening here...OK," she glances at the tiefling, "we go check out what's happening here. Startin' with that shack. If'n the rest o' you want to go to Leilon with the stuff, fine."
Broufen walks over to the group with a cheery smile. "Hello, friends. I am to be joining your group I believe."

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
“Greetings Broufen… we are currently splitting the Company, for multi-tiered synergy in these trying times.” Bhardrus reaches out a hand to shake Broufen’s hand. “I think those that voted to go to whatever shack are going that way, and those that voted to go to Leilon are going that way. I will go to Leilon because… it just seemed like a good idea. Shall we?”
We are playing an Acquisitions Inc-based game. Part of that is that you are part of a franchise, so you all 'work' for the Company of Dragons. Another part of this is the powers, and features, you get from your positions. If a vote is called, then that is one of the players using a feature, that is part of your franchise. To simply ignore that, and do your own thing, goes against pretty much everything this game is about. You can not like the red-tape portion of being part of a franchise, you can even go against it to some extent, but doing so will have reprocussions.
If 100% of you wish to simply go away from Acquisitions-related material, then we can discuss that, but I will not do so even if everyone but one wishes to, as that was part of this game from day one, and is not a surprise for anyone involved.
This is a business, not an adventuring group. Yes you adventure as your work, but you are also still accountable for following franchise regulations.
With that stated, let us move back a step and go back to the vote.
Broufen walks over to the group with a cheery smile. "Hello, friends. I am to be joining your group I believe."
“Broufen! Please, come vote. We are either: going to Leilon, going to a shack, or splitting up to do both.” Bhardus shakes a box with a slot in the top in one hand and a slip of paper with a pen in the other.
[OOC: Sorry I should have handled my post a bit better, redoing it here.]
Reginald thinks for a moment, “Right, I forgot it is only half a days travel to our destination. I VOTE for Seruk's suggestion, let’s travel to Leilon now and then we can port back. That is probably our best bet to get things done as quickly as possible. With regranted to splitting the party, that is never a good option.”
Broufen takes the piece of paper, scribbles on it, and places it in the box. "Well, now that I have voted, I suppose introductions are in order. I am Broufen Bronzefoot, Occultist, barbarian, and advocate for the trees. It is a pleasure to be joining your group." He shakes the satyr's hand and grins widely.

Having decided to finish one task at a time, the party moves to the back lot behind the general store. There they find the wagons and horses, all ready to go. The supplies are not loaded into the wagons yet, though two young men are working on that as you approach. Lending a hand, several of you aid in the loading of the wagons.
As you work to load the wagons, storm clouds roll in, covering the sun and with rain starting to fall.
As you are just about finished loading the wagons, several things happen. A heavily-cloaked figure walks towards you, with a pack of what can only be ghouls with them. From another direction the familiar figure of Velleen approaches, with several kobolds. Neither of the two groups look ready to talk.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

ooc: Gotcha, boss. Bella thinks the voting is silly but she voted. Do we need to go back and vote anonymously?
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
No, as long as you voted. I just did not wish players to get the idea that they could not, or should not, use their features.
Are the two of you still leaving to go look at the shack?

No, silence is going to wait to hear the results of the vote.
I will protect those I hate. Even ... even if the one I hate most ... is ... myself.
OOC: Bella will also wait.

It appears all of the votes are in...
Bhardus meticulously counts the votes.
“It is with careful consideration and meticulous research I have found that a decision has been arrived upon… a majority vote to return to Leilon.”

"Hmph, fine. Lets get going. We can go to Leilon then come back to investigate if we need to."
I will protect those I hate. Even ... even if the one I hate most ... is ... myself.
Seruk nods, "Shall we get going?"
Bella scowls, considering the situation carefully. Then she smiles, "Yes. Let's get moving!" she says with bright enthusiasm.
