"I would be wary of whatever you drink my friends." Bulvii says with clear amusement in his voice. "Lets be watchful, we should assume we are being watched as well."
The main deck of the old ship features wooden steps that climb to the forecastle and aftcastle, and another set of stairs descending into the ship. A padlocked wooden hatch fitted with windows acts as a skylight for the deck below — the tavern proper, visible through the hatch’s glass panes. Four dead seagulls lie on the deck and two ravens squawk at you from the crow’s nest, a forty-foot climb up the ship’s rigging.
You head down the stairs and come into the Taproom and Gambling Hall...
This is the busiest and noisiest part of the ship, and it reeks of sweat, cheap ale, rotting timbers, and old vomit. Three bouncers (thugs) position themselves so they can see everything that happens here. If Laraelra is seated at the short end of the bar with her crab familiar on her shoulder.
Laraelra greets newcomers with a rehearsed speech:
“Well met! My name is Laraelra Thundreth, but folks around here call me the Captain. If you’re thirsting for a beverage or looking to gamble, you’ve come to the right place, but watch your step. Things can get pretty messy around here.”
The tavern is lit by hanging oil lanterns and whatever natural light slips through the glass hatch and the ship’s grimy portholes. Those portholes are 1½ feet in diameter, with rusty latches on the inside that hold them shut.
Current patrons include: •Grimboot (lawful evil duergar), a gruff, cross-eyed leg breaker who collects debts for the local thieves’ guild •Hitoshi Jade (neutral human commoner), a drunken sailor from a merchant ship called the Golden Gull, owned by the Irlentree patriar family •Jorunn Nighbury (neutral human commoner), a shy horse breeder employed by the Belt patriar family but burdened by gambling debt •Skadric Salakar (neutral evil human veteran), a lazy Flaming Fist soldier who was suspended for a tenday without pay for dereliction of duty •Prynn Derringwhistle (lawful neutral strongheart halfling commoner), a spectacles-wearing barnacle scraper who likes to belt out old sea shanties •Aerith and Beldan (chaotic good drow), awkward and inseparable twins who left the Underdark in search of adventure on the surface
Zogri carefully walks around in the tavern keeping his head a bit lower to not hit it on one of the hanging lanterns.
Looking for the first waiter or someone behind the bar: Id like 6 ale's please, my friends here could use a drink. Some perhaps more than one..He glances at Dalin for a moment. Trying to find a place to stand near a table where the others can sit.
Zogri will try to find a place where his body can be next to a wall/side of the tavern to keep an eye on the place and its patrons since he does not know how they react to a centaur. Wanting to see their reaction before speaking to any of them.
The bartender nods. "I'll send em over." He responds to the request for the ales. "Won't be having a problem finding you for sure." He grins at his lame joke as Zogri heads off to find a table.
Raven joins Zogri at the table and a few moments later the serving girl arrives with a platter holding 6 ales. She gives a saucy grin, bowing a bit too-deeply and showing off a fairly sizable amount of her expansive curves to the group. "Anything else ye be needing, just call for Marra..."
Gralmor saunters to a seat near Grimboot, making himself comfortable as he waits for the ale to be delivered.
"Never had the chance to see me kind here at the surface, specially on a dank boat like this. The gray protector must have lead me to ye for a reason."
He then slips five gold coins to the table followed by an unrestrained smile.
"Would ye mind taking a favor from this 'humble' clergyman?"

Bulvii eyes the drink with more curiosity than concern, "I suppose in this establishment it is unlikely we need to be concerned with poison." He takes a sip of the ale, "Passable I suppose. Now, who is worth talking to do you think?" He raises an eyebrow toward Raven, "Know anyone here by chance?"
"Nope." Raven responds to Bulvii with a shrug. She lifts her own ale and takes a healthy swig. "The serving girl there seems to want to get to know you better though..." She gives him a grin then, before taking another pull. "I'm still on the drink-before-business part of this task though, so talk to me after I've finished this..." She taps her mug.

"I'm looking forward on how much we can pilfer from the money lending business this Amrik Vanthamphur has here."
Gralmor offers a short prayer to the gray protector before entering the tavern.
Dalin shrugs and heads in behind Gralmor.

Yeah I’m gonna pass on the drinks. Hygiene isn’t an apparent priority. You guys enjoy yourselves....
"Let's see what fate holds for us today."
Gralmor points at one of the squawking ravens as he momentarily rings a dolorous bell within its earshot as an ominous sign of its impending death.
Toll the Dead DC WIS 13: 7 Necrotic Damage
Raven save: 17 / 18
The raven caws loudly as it resists the spell, and both flap up away from you.
Assuming everyone goes on into the boat, so my next post will move you along to there.
"I don't think you need to worry about the birds Gralmor. Lets head inside and see what we can find out."

Dalin completely misses the display as he eyes his drink, and swallows it quickly. He eyes Damrius' drink. Yer still not drinkin', right?
