"You make a good point." Tarina says with a shrug. "I know where the Dead Three have their base, or at least their hideyhole." She says. "If you want that information then you will need to take care of my little issue for me."
Dalin nods. Well, if we's gonna fight, I better get prepared. He'll slam down the rest of his ale and stand up, cracking his neck, knuckles, back, and several other joints. Oughta do it. Awright, where's this goin' down?

Bulvii swirls the drink in his tankard pondering. He downs the rest of the liquid and sets the tankard aside. "Could you tell us more about this 'pirate captain'? If he is a pirate it would be a simple matter for us to confront his as members of the flaming fists who will always uphold the law. As I understand it, resisting arrest has a serious punishment. Once dealt with we will expect you to uphold your end of the bargain. What I am curious about though is, why don't you have someone you already know deal with this captain? I was told you have...dangerous...friends." Bulvii holds his gaze on Tarina watching her face and eyes as she responds.
Tarina laughs in amusement. "Why have someone else do it if ye are wantin somethin from me?" She asks. "Seems I can kill two birds with one stone..."
"As fer the captain..." Tarina says with a shrug. She gives you a description of him as a brawny man with a cloudy right eye, a cruel sneer, and a pirate’s swagger.
"Just hang around here and ye can be sure that the captain and his crew will show up sooner or later..." Tarina says, the thugs and bandits, who had been playing with her earlier, returning up the stairs and once more taking places around the table.
As the group waits in the Elfsong Tavern they overhear the following:
“I’ll bet my last copper piece that those so-called refugees are advanced scouts for an army that’s preparing to attack Baldur’s Gate!” “The Flaming Fist is decapitated. The captains have already started bickering over who should be in charge with Ulder Ravengard gone.” “With Ravengard out of the way, who’ll be the next grand duke, I wonder? My money’s on Thalamra Vanthampur. Practically born in the sewers, she was, and more vicious than a swarm of rats.”
After a couple hours of chatting with other patrons, playing dice, and drinking you all start hearing a soft voice. Everyone in the tavern stops to listen, clearly this has happened here before. A female elf's voice can be heard singing the below in elvish:
The tavern is filled with the ghostly lamentation of the elf spirit known to haunt the place. However, on this one occasion, the spirit sings not of a long-lost lover but of Elturel. This surprises everyone, including the place's owner who has never heard the spirit change its tune.
Characters who understand Elvish can translate the lyrics:
O sing a song of Elturel Of water, woods, and hill The sun dawns on her ruddy cliffs And fields green and still. This land of long-abiding joy Home of the strong and brave Renowned by all, across the realms, And never once a slave.
O sing a song of Elturel When foes are at her door Her fields torn by cloven feet From some infernal shore. Arise the mighty Hellriders Take up your swift, keen swords Then charge into the hellish fray And scatter devil hordes.
O sing a song of Elturel And when the night does fall Sleep safe beneath Companion’s light Until the dawn does call. We’re bound by mortal covenant That only ends with death And so we’ll sing of Elturel Until our final breath.

Listening to the song DuCrae is puzzled by it's lyrics, although some of it seems like it should resonate with him he initially struggles to put it together.

History 19
DuCrae knows that “the Companion” referred to in the song is the name given to the artificial sun that burns over Elturel, protecting the city and its surrounding lands against undead.
DuCrae holds onto that information for now, and will share it with the rest of the party when they are alone or at least not involved in a conversation with other people.

You wait at the Elfsong Tavern for a few more hours, then, as it is getting later in the evening, your waiting is rewarded.
Eight motley humans saunter into the tavern. The leader is a brawny man with a cloudy right eye, a cruel sneer, and a pirate’s swagger. The others are an unsavory, rowdy bunch who act as if they own the place.
“We’re looking for an old friend of ours,” says the dead-eyed man. He sniffs the air. “Goes by the name ‘Tarina,’ or so I’m told. Loves to cheat at Baldur’s Bones.”
"I'll buy anyone with information as to where I can find Tarina a tankard..." Dead-Eye offers. Several tavern patrons are quick to accept the offer. Two pirates move to watch the exit as the patrons tell the captain Tarina is up stairs.
Lodas looks thoughtful. “And how do we know that you know anything at all?”
