<ooc: I sit corrected on all counts. drat. I keep looking at the ability scores instead of the equipment. So the Light Hammer attack never took place, yes?>
As she approaches, she whispers: “Lathander. Xerona. Empower me so I may protect them.” Her weapon glows dimly with a silver light. (BA: Searing Smite)
Her blade slices through the air toward the beast.
Attack: 19 Damage: 16
(Assuming a hit, the apex lizard is engulfed in flames, and makes a DC 14 Con save at the beginning of each of its turns, taking 1d6 fire damage on a fail, or ending the effect on a success.)
Additionally, if she hits, she will use divine smite for an extra 9 radiant damage.

Excellent move, but going forward can you roll separate damage types separately? I usually do the math and stuff while I'm on the bus, and can't inspect the rolls there. Apex here is vulnerable to fire, so I have to know what i'm doubling.
Thasla's blow comes down in a mighty crash of fire and holy energy, carving the flesh of the beast.
As Tamoda and the reptilian Sihnion become slightly tangled in their attempts to deal further pain to the beast, an arrow flies just over their head into the beast's shoulder, drawing further blood.
Xandar crouches down and hooks his warhammer and shield onto his belt and back respectively, and begins to reach for his crossbow.
Ahkota, a few quick motions on his viol and a few more harsh words, grants his bardic inspiration to Sihnion, and casts Vicious Mockery, to which the Apex Lizard pays no heed.
The Apex Lizard then Disengages and flees down the tunnel, further and further into the dark.
Grim, you see several lizards attempting to be stealthy heading towards your current position, 2 from the middle tunnel, 3 from the tunnel you came down.
Delta and Buxton, your characters have a movement of 30, whereas the Apex lizard has a movement of 40. It used its full movement to flee further down the tunnel.

Ultimately however, the problem arises in the fact that you both are out of melee range.
Grim's shot hits the wall of the tunnel with a soft "plink", whereas Thasla's shot draws a bit of blood as it hits the creature's foreleg.
Ahkota runs up to Tamoda and with a touch on his shoulder casts Longstrider to increase his Movement by 10ft.
Xandar meanwhile marches forward and prepares to Dodge

Angry, the beast swipes out with one of it's huge forelegs, clawing at Tamoda but misses, the claw crashing into the cave wall with great force.
The Apex Lizard begins to hiss loudly, similar to how the lizards from before did.
