You have an undisturbed night. When you get up the next morning it is to the sound of a dwarf calling thorugh the hole in the roof. As he does so he suddenly falls, tumbling down into the room with you... He takes 13 falling damage.
New guy, intro yourself here...
To others...
Remember there is treasure in that rubble pile near the center. you were checking it out when the snakes attacked.
Zubin wakes with a start as the bearded bowling ball caroms into the hall. Jumping to his feet, he has his bow ready before he realizes that the source of the noise is NOT the giant ape still sleeping at the other end of the hall. In groggy confusion he turns to see what the clamor was, and blinks blearily at the figure dusting himself off.
Shieldbiter wakes with a start as he hears shouting and the falling of rubble. He quickly jumps up grabbing his shield and his sword, looking around in concern that the apes have returned. When he sees the dusty dwarf, he stands at the ready, but exhales a sigh of relief to not have to begin the day with a battle. He then walks over to the dwarf, still armed, and asks, "Who are you and what business do ya have here?" holding the sword towards him.
Opal grabs his swords at the sound of the dwarf falling, but once it is determined this is not an early morning attack, he sheathes them again. Beside him lays the map he drew of this underground temple before going to sleep last night. He unrolls it and looks at it again to see if he remembers anything further before rolling it back up.
Sinsil looks up unamused, but otherwise finishes her work on the items. "These two amulets help to bolster undead allies against divine magic, these bracelets ward off attacks from enemies, this ring with the man protects against fire, the ring with the cat helps influence beasts... Maybe we can use it on your ape friend. This vile is a run of the mill elixir of health, this used to be a potion of invisibility but it's useless now, and last there is this circle from the eagle's mouth that lets one manipulate stone and Earth. I'd like to keep the amulets for undead servants, but I will also gladly put each item up for vote."
"By Moradin and the Old Man's bones! Bloody shoddy construction giving way..." Still grumbling to himself the dwarf stands, dusting himself off for a moment before noticing the others inside the room. His eyes widen briefly as he sees the ape, before taking on a calculating look.
"Name's Hvitserk, of clan Redrickson. And my business is my own..." He pauses for a second muttering to himself under his breath and visibly takes a better survey of the room and its occupants. "I was wandering nearby and sought shelter." He shakes his shoulders, setting his armor rattling as his pack readjusts. "Now, who are the bunch of you?"

Lowering his sword hand, Shieldbiter says, “The name is Shieldbiter.”
Turning back to the group he says, “This small one doesn’t seem to be a threat. Sinsil, I wouldn’t mind having a look at those bracelets, unless someone else would prefer them. I know I can take a hit, would just be nice to not have to. Haha.”
Zubin pauses, waiting for the Dragonborn to continue the introduction. When he does not, the half-elf steps forward. "Zubin Chase," he says with a slight bow. "And our business..." He gives a flourishing gesture encompassing the party. "...is the Company of the Dragon." He produces a brochure seemingly out of nowhere and offers it to the dwarf. "We can do anything from archaeology to zoological care," he boasts, gesturing first to Sinsil and her work and then to the bandaged giant ape. "Though I admit that zoological care isn't quite our brand. But we can do anything a potential client like yourself could ask or pay for. See for yourself." He again offers the brochure.
"I'd be careful who you call small Laddie," the dwarf grumbles.
"As for me, I'm not a potential client elfling. I'm between jobs as is, out lookin for work when I fell through that bloody hole." He glances up at the hole in the roof before muttering a curse and spiting to the side. He turns back to the half-elf. "So if you know anyone in need of someone for protection, security, or havoc, point me their direction."

“No offense meant, simply an early morning startled statement of fact. And if it’s havoc you’re looking for and a job to be had, I think if ya choose to join us you’ll find both.”

Zubin seems a bit disappointed. "Well, you'd have to contact HR if you're looking for a position, I suppose," he says vaguely. He begins gathering his bedroll. "If you return with us to our HQ, I'm sure someone can arrange a meeting. I hope you brought ID."
Zubin finishes tidying. "If you'll excuse me, I have a serpent's den to investigate," he says. He returns to where the amphisbaenae first emerged and begins to poke around.
The Dwarf shrugs. "Like I said, I've got naught else to do. Might as well stick with you lot." He looks around. "Anyone care to tell me what happened here?"

A pouch tied on the waist of one corpse holds 40 ep. One of the humans wore a brooch of bronze and green quartz in the shape of a lizard (worth 25 gp). A silver and beryl-emerald ring (50 gp) is worn on a bony finger. A silvery dagger, actually made of a copper-nickel alloy and worth 10 gp, is stuck in the left boot of one figure. A scroll case holds a map of the territory in which these ruins are located. Finally, a crystal sphere, cracked in the catastrophe, has rolled into the shadow of some nearby rubble. It is made of polished quartz, 3 inches in diameter, and is worth 45 gp.
As everyone gets moving, you notice that the amber haze flowing from the door you exited has slwoed to just a trickle,a nd that hte area beyond that door is now haze-free. It is obvious that most of the lower areas are now free of the poison haze from before.
“Well well Zubin, good find. And Sinsil I guess that definitely counts me out. Maybe someone else, would find better use. Do we put to a vote our next move? I know we were trying to head long our way out of here but since that poison fog seems to be leaving and nearly gone, I didn’t know if we dare go back in now or make a return better equipped still. Thoughts?” Shieldbiter says to the group as he sits to sharpen his sword while waiting on the group and the new comer.
Zubin collects the loot and seems especially taken by the ring. He dutifully turns everything else over to Lootmeister Shieldbiter, but offers the ring to Sinsil. "My lady, would you be able to to identify this? We seem to be taking a leisurely time of starting this morning. Oh," he adds, turning back to Shieldbiter, "if there's nothing magical about that lamp, I'd like to keep it myself. If that's not a problem, of course."
Finally he turns to Hvitserk. "I'm sure the bard could do a better job of telling the story, but...well, those doors, I believe -" here he points the the large bronze double doors - "are the entrance to a rather interesting - and profitable - archaeological site. So naturally we're using that entrance as our exit, having done things the hard way." He smiles wryly. "The very air was poison, and the dead were...well, not interested in acting dead, let's say. However, the poison seems to be dissipating, so we may go back. There was much we left unexplored in our haste to flee the noxious fumes," he explains. Then as an afterthought he gestures to the slumbering simian and adds, "Oh, and Becca over there was rather upset to see us here, so I'm afraid we had to do a bit of violence. Her friends didn't make it, but she'll survive."
Zubin will take second watch.
Perception: 17
Sinsil will take the last watch possible, she casts identify on all of the items before she goes to sleep.

Larry will look at the amulets with some interest...."Sinsil....through the power of the darklord I also dabble in the arts of undeath...."
As he wakes Larry will begin to cast a spell on one of the corpses.
cast animate dead on any corpse to make a Zombie first or skeleton second....depending on the condition of the corpse I assume.
afterwards he will fondle a small pearl, recovering his magic spent.
