While watching, does Opal get any kind of idea what's going on? Are there rules? Is there logic to the ball's movements? Repetition? If not yet, he'll continue to just watch.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Despite the bruise, Zubin's having fun. He makes another grab at the ball. "Of course we know the rules," he explains. "We play around with the ball for a bit, then those bones we saw with the ball rise up and we smash 'em and grab the jade loot. Simple."
Athletics: 10
If successful, Zubin we carry the ball to the north goal (using cunning action: dash if necessary) and put it in.
If unsuccessful, Zubin will make a fool of himself just like every gym class in his life.
(Edit: I did NOT roll with advantage - thanks for the reminder, Rylentlar! Reroll: 12)
(Well, that didn't help much...but I still appreciate the reminder.)

The ball slips free of zubin again,t hen tries to hit him once more...
Attack: 14 Damage: 1
The magic missiles Sinsil sends at the ball hits then, and sends it flying to hit the Southern wall again, which lights up the indent there once more.
At this point you all realize that the only way to score is to hit the ball with weapon or magic, and send it towards the southern wall. You will need to 'try' to hit it into the goal once you are close enough to the southern wall.
The ball rebounds off the southern wall and both the southern goal and the northern one lights up, and stays glowing orange now. A sound of trumpets fills the area,a nd the game is on in ernest now...
Hvitserk moves to reposition himself about midway in the field, offset from Opal so as to not block her line of sight, Halberd held out in front of him.

Zubin is ready for the incoming ball this time and tumbles deftly away, which was particularly strange to see given his unusual size.
He isn't so thrilled with the idea of whacking this thing with his sword, though; with his luck, he'd end up damaging the sword. He pulls out his handy crowbar instead.
I'm guessing that this will count as his action for this turn. If not, he'll take a swing at the ball, Athletics 4, and the reposition himself in anticipation of a nice rebound.
(See? The best Zubin could do WITH ADVANTAGE was a 2 +2. He'd definitely end up with a bent sword.)
Sinsil moves up and hits the ball, sending it flying 15 feet towards the southern goal. (It is 15 feet from the southern goal now...)
Larry tries to hit with his whip again, but misses.
Shieldbiter moves in and hits the ball, sending it the last 15 feet into the goal. The goal flashes bright, then goes back to its normal glow.
After a moment's pause the ball flie sout of the goal and 70n feet up the field to hover int he center, prepared to go again. The sound of trumpest go again and we start round two.
Please post actions. You can move where you wish on the field as the ball moves back to the center and before the round begins. It appears hitting the ball sends it 15 feet, and it has to be within 15 feet of the goal for you to score.

Concentrating on Enlarge, Sinsil will cast magic missile, trying to make the force push the ball in the right direction.

Larry's attack misses the ball...
Hvitserk's or Shieldbiter, want to do anything?
Opal... You realize the ball needs to be hit into the southern goal, and be kept from the northern one.
Opal moves to the northern goal and readies an attack to deflect it if it comes within range.
Shieldbiter will charge the ball and take a swing with the flat of his blade, hitting it towards the goal.

(You would have all noticed that the ball seems quite hard to damage, the force bolts from magic missile didn't even scratch it...)
“Anyone wanna our one of this figurines on the field and see if they help us out or not? Cuz I don’t see how this is gona work.”
Sinsil, seeing that striking the ball seems to send it the right direction will pull out her ornate dagger move up and hack at the ball.

Noticing the effectiveness of of the attack Shieldbiter attempts to go after the ball again in the same way.
