If Ordrag is satisfied that the mega-demon behind them isn't pursuing and that their rear flank is safe, then he is willing to move forward and step into melee at the planned moment.

This time the demon was too big and too scary for OwImp to aim well and the sting missed the target. Also, demon were mot moved by insults (could be a language barrier, Owimp on it's own did not speak Abyssal after all). Nevertheless, the little Imp attracted enough attention. The "boss" - (a demon made of shadow flies) waved in your corridor direction particularly energetically and ape-like huge demon finally payed attention.

Fran, who was up front in the narrow passage, ready to shoot, heard in her head a clear call.

Fran would pull her head back from aiming with her crossbow. "They tryin' teh bargain." She'd blurt. "They wanna join forces. They want teh door open too." The artificer would jut her chin in their direction. She'd look to Lulu for this one. Lulu poured her heart and soul into putting up this barrier to keep hell out and hopefully one day save her beloved friend. Who was Fran to decide who should go through Lulu's defenses?

"No!" Lulu's fury would look comical should not be so intense. "The Temple protects the sword! The should not get it!"

Us should agree to join forces with them, suggests Ordrag. Then us can get close enough to fight.

     "I barely want us inside,' Polly mutters. "Definitely don't want the likes of them inside with us!"

Lulu's immediate no was enough for Fran. She'd recock her crossbow and respond to her mind invader with a few bolts. Brutus would kick off to charge in with Ordrag, and Adray when they do.

(Haste and Bless are off by now (Bless restored, haste's "hangover" ended too). It's 100-120 ft to the target, Fran shoots with disadvantage (two more attack rolls, please), and everyone - Initiative!)

"You had to agree," heard Fran before she pulled the trigger. The worst part about that voice was that it sounded intelligent. That ugly overgrown hybrid of ape and pig was not a mindless brute. But she attacked and though it did not look as if demon suffered greatly, Fran could be sure he knew who sent that bolt.

Adray will touch his chest where the symbol of Tiamat is etched into his flesh and call upon divine aid.  He then rushes out into the opening.  Making his way to the fight.  "For LuLu" he shouts as he rushes.

Casting shield of faith on himself, +2 to ac for ac of 20 now.

Move: move him out 45 feet towards the group.

Adray was first to step out. The sense of protection he got might not be all that divine, but at the moment the important thing was the protection itself, not the source of it.

Ape-demon observed Adray's movements for a few moment, then barked an order and one of the three a gaunt minotaurs stepped forward too, or, better say, jump forward, because that was the way the creature moved. The soft light from the gates of the Temple and it's walls allowed Adray to fully "enjoy" the view of the horror he was about to deal with: filthy patches of short, wiry bristles, open boils filled with festering maggots, goat head goat-like head hosting pale, rheumy, crusted eyes, needle-like fangs, concealed by lips caked in foam, and the smell - no! - the horrible stench of rotten meat. So bad, in fact, that it felt as physical presence, vividly reminding of sibriex.

Fran would move out behind Adray, Brutus immediately barreling down to catch up with the monk. She'd hug a wall and position herself within a more accurate range of fire for her crossbow. For a moment the artificer could swear she breathed a breath of fresh air, feeling instilled with a now somewhat familiar presence, Akadi. She'd turn and nod to Choir in thanks before turning back to take aim with her weapon. The redhead would release bolts towards Adray's target.
