Choir was saved! Adray made a wide swooping move with his spear, and fragile mean skeletons were sliced into tiny pieces and scattered around kenku. The room and half-made zombie belonged to the party.
The Necromancer was laying on a floor in the corridor as a menacing black cloud and the only sound you could hear is soft crackle of torches fire and quiet cracking of rat's bones under your feet.
Fran would give Choir a happy clap on the back, glad to see her pick herself up. The artificer will head to the cultists body to investigate it. She was particularly interested in the item that almost took out Ordrag, something she’d want to study. Of course she’d allow any of her party members to look at it if they so desired.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Adray will look at Nibs and ask, "You okay big guy? You took the brunt of that but damn did you give it back." He will then start to inspect the room. He assumes that a caster like that would have some expensive stuff in the room.
Shaking off shattered rat bones, Choir goes to the dead body and prays over it, giving it last rites and commending its soul to the freedom of the open sky. (Then she checks its pockets, just in case.)

Not in the room per se - table with the dead body was the only furniture or something of interest here, but the Necromancer herself did have something on her body. The cowl moved and you could see a sharp-featured face and long dark hair. Her robe - cut by Ordrag's swords - was of excellent quality, soft black velvet with no signs on it (but indeed with numerous pockets containing what sims to be components for spells. Considering, her specialty was necromancy - components are not always pleasant to touch or even look at).
The woman wore small silver key on a long chain around her neck, and you could see a book, attached to her chain belt, a book with black leather covers and a tiny, skull-shaped locking mechanism. In woman's hand there is still that terrible weapon she used - silvered skull flail, but right before your eyes the weapon, before shimmering greenish unpleasant light, darkened, as if something evaporated from it's surface.
Polly walk over to Choir. “ Im sorry I put you to sleep Choir. I was aiming at the Necromancer but you accidentally got caught.” Once again she has pulled a ‘Polly’. Why did it always happen to her? Why couldn't she ever do things properly?
As in a trance she would follow the others. She could hear her classmates laughing at her, chanting “Polly pulled a ‘Polly’, Polly pulled a ‘Polly’” over and over again.
once she snaps out of it she will take a look at the Necros ritual.
Choir gives Polly a comforting, feathery hug. She is already fond of the gnome. Without Polly, Choir would be the shortest member of the party!

The weapon (and the body itself with everything on it) just laying quietly where it dropped.
The body on the table does not makes any sudden moves either and looks (smells too) just as a long time dead body is supposed to look (and smell). Polly is not familiar with the ritual, that was used here - meaning, she would not be able to finish it or perform from the start - but there is no doubts about the nature of of it, Animate Dead .
"If everyone is okay, let's collect what's valuable, study any think of interest quickly and keep moving," he says curtly. He is obviously agitated and slightly more worried. It's clear if anyone pays attention to his body language but he wont admit his apprehension.
Fran would take the silver key from around her neck, the books attached to her belt, the skull shaped locking mechanism and the silvered skull flail. The artificer would take a quick glance over the books before offering them to any one else to look if they wanted, then she'd move to the key and locking mechanism. Curious.
Fran agreed though, they should keep moving. She'd look towards the (undead?) corpse, "Should we burn it before we move on?"
OOC: correction (sorry if it was unclear) - there is only one book, and that skull shaped locking mechanism is on the book, so, no one can read it before unlocking (yes, the key looks like it's from that skull-shaped lock).
"Burn it?" Adray says as he thinks aloud. "Under normal circumstances I'd say yes but smoke would alert everyone to us." He stares at the corpse for along moment and then searches her for anything that might be an object that a close family or friend could recognize. Then turn to the others. "Should we remove the head?"
The corps is dressed in remnants of clothes and anything remotely useful/pricey, was removed from it. It does not look like the body would go anywhere, though, without another ritual. On the other hand, cutting off head never hurts.
Yeah, me will look after that, says Ordrag casually, and draws his scimitar, walks over to the body laying on the altar, takes aim, and severs the head. Me don't think he'll mind, whoever he is ... was!

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
"I feel better now," Adray says as he claps Nibs on the shoulder. "Alright, guys lets get ready and press on," he calls out. He then heads for the entry way and as he does he notices the fine cloak. He bends down, pulls it off her, and then pulls it on thinking it might give him a slight advantage on stealth. When the others are ready to move on, he'll take the lead again, with spear up.
The key was indeed from the book (the skull lock). But the moment Polly turned the key and opened the book (perfectly readable - yet, another grimoire, just not the victim's, but the master's this time), a wisp of black smoke raised from its pages and coalesces into a skull that cackled madly for a few seconds before dissipating. Whatever that effect was, Polly has in her possession now more terrifying spells:
1st level: burning hands, detect magic, ray of sickness, shield 2nd level: darkness, misty step, scorching ray 3rd level: animate dead, fireball
The cloak Adray picked up, does not appear magical, but is indeed of a very high quality, black as midnight. It was made for a woman, hence, a bit short for him but covers nevertheless and indeed might help with stealth approach. If party would not forget about light and sound.
Actually, Polly did not feel anything special - a cold (not killing or unbearable, though) surge through the body and that was it. May be slightly increased disgust towards the smell of dead and sight of decay, may be more, then slightly, but in general - no side effects she can complain about.

Ordrag replies to Adray:
Yeah, me is okay I think. It wasn't the hit so much as the feeling me got. Felt like me whole body just wanted to shut down.
He then wanders over to take a look at the offending weapon.
