The pair in the "ring" right now looked like an interesting match: two humans - one is lean, not so tall, with a tan skin and raven-black hair, quick and light-footed, and another one is his opposite - tall, well built fair-skinned northerner, with slower but calculated moves and devastating blows. Both were still standing, though northerner looked a touch better and was giving opponent kind of a snotty smile.
"Show-off!" commented improvised bookmaker in the crowd and spat on the ground. "Oscar, finish him already! Others are waiting."
Adray moves forward with Ordrag. Still watching the fight he says, "I'd bet on the black haired one. He's wirey." He then makes a play at jingling the coins in his pouch a little.
Fran was delighted to learn alongside Polly and get first hand knowledge and experience from a wizards perspective. Time seemed to fly by. This particular fight was unarmed vs unarmed - no weapon, no armour. The crowd was mostly concentrated on the brawl, but one guy - with a black eye and half face swollen - was willing to introduce newcomers to the entertainment. According to him, full armed combat happened often enough (everyone needs training) but only when at lest one of the Tower's priest was around (training is good, but not for the price of loosing guards and damaging equipment).
Meanwhile, black haired Pit, probably feeling exhaustion creeping up on him already, doubled intensity of attacks, hoping to break big guy's defences. Oscar continued to deflect it still with a smile but his eyes were following every move of the opponent quite intently.
23
Suddenly his rival made a lightning fast move that Oscar barely blocked only to be hook kicked from the side and then sent with a push one would hardly expect from someone of Pit's complexion. The crowd roared - cursing and cheering at once, bookmaker sat with the open mouth for a good half a minute and final "Damn, Oscar!" begun to count the money. "Your 7 golds. If I only knew... Pit's sure getting better."
That fight was over. Oscar and Pit were talking now aside, next pair was getting ready.
Adray smiles as he accepts the gold. "Thank you. What would it take to get a match going for ourselves? My friend and I would like some... training." At that he nods over to Ordrag to indicate that hes the friend that wants to spare as well.
"With each other or want to try yourself against others? Nobody knows you here yet, hard to make a match. But we sure can try if you are in no hurry. Next three fights are taken, but then - sure, why not."
In the meantime Polly studies hard to learn the theory of the invisibility spell and the detect thought spell. Once she has it down to memory she will have to practice them so that she won’t make a Polly next time she is in battle.

Attack: UnarmedStrike: 20 Damage: 4
ROUND 2: Ordrag is already starting to think he might be out-matched, but keeps swinging. Attack: UnarmedStrike: 9 Damage: 4. Then: Action Surge to attack again... 14 Damage: 4.

ROUND 4: Ordrag hears the cheers from the crowd, but can't decide who they are cheering for. Attack: UnarmedStrike: 20 Damage: 4.
ROUND 5: None of Adray's fancy moves here, just brute force. Attack: UnarmedStrike: 13 Damage: 4.

ROUND 13: A quick fight is a good fight. Time to put this one away. Ordrag feints a jab, then swings a right hook. Attack: UnarmedStrike: 21 Damage: 4.
Ordrag takes the time to wipe the blood off his face, and to take the name of the bloke offering to shout him an ale, then goes off with Adray for a well-deserved rest.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bookmaker sized both of you, said something along the line "I'll talk to the guys" went to the pairs, prepared to the next fight. Judging by the intense gesticulation, finger pointing and glances, one pair agreed to meet with you. Bookmaker returned with the goo news. "Sure thing, jump in on the next fight. No self bets, no weapons. Nobody knows you, so, keep the armor, guys will too. Wish you luck and let's see what can you do."
Ok, we play here. I set the scene and roll for your opponents - you roll in your posts for different rounds. We can begin with initiative.
Ok, your opponents are ready - a joyful half-elven man (Davqarim) and towering above him not so smily a half-orc woman (Sameia).
Initiatives: man - 9, woman - 5
ROUND 1:
Half-orc woman did not expect any chivalry (most likely unfamiliar with the concept). She welcomed an attack on her, even though she was not able to block the first blow. She answered with a good old left hook with a right cross following up: Attack: 14 Damage: 4 Attack: 20 Damage: 4
The man managed to avoid 2 attacks out of 3 from Adray and screamed in response, though, doubtfully from a pain. His eyes become red and you got a feeling you are standing on the way of a mad bull. His attack was direct and simple: Attack: 12 Damage: 6
Both hit once.
ROUND 2:
If you attack not the opponent from the first round now - you attack with disadvantage (Unwavering Mark from a woman, and Ancestral Protectors for the man).
The woman grinned, blocking both blows from Ordrag and tried to punch him to the jaw in return. Attack: 7 Damage: 4 (she missed by the hair and quickly changed to defensive stance)
At the same time, Adray's opponent avoided again the series of dangerous blows. The one that still landed was strong, yet, Adray expected more serious effect. He growled and attacked himself: Attack: 6 Damage: 6 Fists of the man were probably not flaming, but quite sturdy - the blow was hard.
ROUND 3:
Boxer or not, but the woman knew how to deliver a power punch. She sucked up the blow from Ordrag and then punched herself: Attack: 6 Damage: 4 . It was a good strike, and it hit.
Adray finally figured out his opponent movements pattern and managed to hit him twice (still left under the impression the effect had to be stronger). Half-elf tried to answer with a low blow: Attack: 15 Damage: 6 but missed.
ROUND 4:
The match really turned into two simultaneous boxing matches. The crowd mostly cheered for old-timers (understandably) but those who put some money on newcomers chanted their names as well. Mix of Sameia, Adray, Ordrag and Davqarim was not deafening but loud enough.
The woman could block next strike from Ordrag, but tried to respond equally Attack: 23 Damage: 4 . Looked like Sameia was loosing it - a simple jab missed.
Whether Adray really nailed the pattern or Davqarim was getting tired, but the latter was getting hit more and more often. He did not gave up, though: Attack: 19 Damage: 6 That was yet another hard blow.
Adray - 7 HP left
Ordrag - 23 HP left
ROUND 5:
Sameia needed something more than a pure brute force to be brought down and blocked such an expected move. Her answer was no less brutal and simple, probably she was tired of dancing too: 15 Damage: 4 . She missed, but laughed it off.
Davqarim (with name like that he was ought to be raised by elven parent) was concentrating on more elaborate Adray's attacks and, though avoided them, let the simple direct one to get through: Attack: 9 Damage: 6
Adray - only 1 HP left. The opponent looks very beaten up, but still standing
Ordrag - still 23 HP, and can expect that woman to keep up for some time too.
ROUND 6:
It looked like Sameia was less tired than she looked - she easily avoided that slow move from Ordrag, turned around and tried to made hers: Attack: 18 Damage: 4 and she did hit Ordrag! Both parties did not risk any unpredictable maneuver. On the other hand, what could they do other than punching?
Davqarim, on the other hand, was as exhausted as Adray - and could only block one out of two punches. His attack was not as fast as he would like either: Attack: 17 Damage: 6
Adray - still 1 HP left
Ordrag - 19 HP
ROUND 7:
That was a good punch! Sameia huffed but did not fall, not yet. She tried to throw a power jab in response: Attack: 23 Damage: 4 and it worked! Only a miracle saved Ordrag's teeth.
Fighting between Adray and Davqarim was almost over. Those in audience, who put money specifically on them, were roaring in excitement - the most clear words were "finish him off!" from both sides. Davqarim (that missed yet another punch) tried: Attack: 17 Damage: 6 And he did it - Adray went down. Crowd responded with a mixed roar of satisfaction and disappointment, that remained mixed, when Adray stand up again. Davqarim grunted and assumed a defensive stance.
Adray - 1 HP
Ordrag - 15 HP
ROUND 8:
And Adray did it - his opponent was down, but unlike him did not get up again, despite part of the crowd yelling at him to do so. While Adray was catching his breath, Ordrag and Sameia (now expecting attack from both sides) continued their dance.
She was tired too and relied mostly on quick jabs: Attack: 17 Damage: 4 It did not work, but realizing she is one against two now, she composed herself and looked tougher then ever (Second Wind 12 )
Adray - 1 HP
Ordrag - 15 HP
ROUND 9:
Sameia was obviously an experienced fighter - she would not just let someone sneak behind, even if that someone was at his last breath (or especially because of that). This turn she attacked Adray, letting Ordrag's fist hit her: Attack: 9 Damage: 4 Second attack for the disadvantage: Attack: 13 Damage: 4
Half dead Adray still proved to be too agile for a brute force and attack missed.
ROUND 10:
Ordrag did his best to drop Sameia on her ... bum (Athletics: 16 ) Both were pretty tired, but the girl proved to be not a push over. Though, wrestling did distract her enough, so Adray could kick and strike as effectively as if he was not bruised or tired - Sameia had to soak every hit.
She tried to retaliate: Attack: 8 Damage: 4 and managed to do so. Adray was finally out, but he left Ordrag on a good place with more than just a hope to win.
Ordrag - 15 HP
ROUND 11:
And the true boxing style returned! Ordrag's fist hit Sameia like a truck, she could not block it. Her answer: Attack: 18 Damage: 4 was equally strong, but the fight was not over yet.
Ordrag - 11 HP
ROUND 12:
Crowd cheering was dying out - the end of the fight was very near, but audience grew a bit tired of the show. Sameia could not block or avoid yet another blow and tried to compensate it with her own punch: 22 Damage: 4
It worked, but the woman was clearly at her very last breath.
Ordrag - 7 HP
Final Blow!
It was too fast notice and too powerful to withstand - Sameia dropped down on her back with a loud thud. The crowd exploded - excited screams, shouts and cheers burst into the air like a thunder clap! Bookmaker, not expecting such outcome, shook his head in disbelieve, though, approving one. "Nice fight, boys, nice fight. I'd like to say, you got lucky, but luck is not for pits. I mean, training ground. Well, if you ever feel like ...ahem... training again - you are always welcome. You names are remembered now." Your opponents and Adray were helped to get to the side line and new pair took your place. One suddenly rich (relatively speaking) lucky bidder promised you a round in any tavern of your choice, others come just to shake your hands. For a moment - you are the heroes of the day!
(Your reputation with Flaming Fist went up - that's for sure)
"Well Ordrag, looks like we got ourselves a match," Adray says with a smile.
Initiative 14 + 4
Round One:
Adray rushes forward, darting back and forth before feigning a strike from his hand and then lashes out with his foot at the smaller man's knee. He then spins attempting to sweep the leg from the other direction.
Unarmed strike 1: Attack: 22 Damage: 5
(ki for flurry) strike 2: Attack: 13 Damage: 6 If hit then Dex save 13 or fall prone
After the leg sweep attempt the shoots upwards from his lower position, grabs the man's shirt and attempts to whip him to the ground... hard.
Final strike: 10 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. If hit then Dex save 13 or fall prone
Round 2:
Adray took the bunch and smiled, but then it faded to confusion and then to a stern frown as these ghostly figures appeared. Unsure of what to thing he jumped forward with a jab testing it out.
Unarmed attack action: Attack: 15 Damage: 4
Feeling more confident he went in for two more strikes. The first he jumps in the air and strikes down trying to knock him down.
Ki strike 1 21 Damage: 4 if hits DC 13 dex save or be prone
He then uses the momentum to spin and lash out with a kick at his head.
Ki strike 2 22 Damage: 5 if hits DC 13 dex save or be prone
-Round 3
Adray took another blow and stumble back a moment. This man was wild and unpredictable and he had a hard time judging his movements. Taking a more measured approach he circled around the side a little and then tested out a quick kick to his legs and jab to the face.
Action strike: 15 Damage: 5
Bonus action normal strike: 10 Damage: 5
-Round 4
Adray felt like he was starting to pick up on the rhythm of the fight now. He stepped back just in time to dodge a body blow and moved to counter with a left cross and right upper cut.
Unarmed attack 19 Damage: 7
Bonus unarmed 16 Damage: 4
Round 5:
Two steps forward, one step back, Adray thought as he took another body blow with a slight wince. The man was all tense and hard muscle. He did not bend but Adray hoped he could break him. Stepping up once again, he attacked with fervor.
Action unarmed strike: Attack: 13 Damage: 4
Spending last Ki Point for Flurry
Ki attack 1: Attack: 9 Damage: 6 if hit dc dex save to avoid being knocked prone
Ki attack 2: 6 Damage: 5 if hit dc 13 str. save to avoid being knocked back 15 feet
Reaction to round 5: as the man tossed the last blow, Adray activated his personal shield saving him at the last moment. Back up to 7 hp but no more tricks up his sleeve.
Round 6: capitalizing on his momentary confusion, Adray attacks again. He doesnt have much left to keep this up much longer.
Attack 1: Attack: 19 Damage: 7
Bonus action: Attack: 19 Damage: 5
Around 7: Reminder, Adray used Shield as a reaction in round 5, he should be at 7 HP
Adray side stepped the last blow. He was indeed quicker than his foe but the man was strong and hardy and not to register pain. Maybe, just maybe he would just go down at once. Unsure he stepped up unleashed two quick blows at the man's jaw.
Attack 1 Attack: 22 Damage: 7
Bonus attack Attack: 19 Damage: 6
Round 8: Adray hadn't had this tough of fight in a long while. He is vision was slightly blurry and his body felt slow. He could tell he was barely hanging on to conciousness and one more blow would take him down but he would fight to the end.
Attack 1 Attack: 24 Damage: 6
Bonus attack Attack: 25 Damage: 8
Round 9:
Adray takes a swing at empty air before he realizes the man he was desperately struggling against had fallen to the ground. He took a breath and the cautiously moved around to the other side of Ordrags opponent.
Taking the dodge action and moving to the otherside to flank.
Round 10:
Adray shifted from foot to foot, bot because of any special technique, no, because he could barely keep his balance as he felt he was on the deck of ship in the ocean. Swaying back and forth he just swung wildly with both fists.
It was time to meet the Captain, and so you did - rested and washed up as much as you could, considering time constrains and willingness to sweat again on the training ground. Captain just returned, smelling not much better than you did not so long ago.
"Nasty place," greeted he the group. "here, 50 golds to each of you. That will be in addition to the money you get afterwords. Because there is no stopping now." He made a pause allowing Choir to repeat Mortlock's speech.
"Still don't know what to think about that Hell business, but what we saw down there... I would fully believe those abominations were trying to summon Asmodeus himself. Whatever it was - we have to put an end to it. Since you let Mortlock go - Amrik is all we have. Or will have, better say, if you can catch him. Can tell you one thing about him - that piece of shit is cunning and ruthless, that's for sure. His mother is worse, but he is indeed her heir in every meaning of the word."
"I also do not like the idea of the imps reporting back to the family. Though, as an officially declared heir, do not think he is loved too much by Thurstwell. He might even welcome the chance to get rid of his brother and not worn him about you. In that case - Amrik is not expecting you, and if you are fast, does not know yet about cult being crippled."
"Anyway, Low Lantern is a tavern and gambling house. You can imagine the clientele. Have to admit, our guys love no less than some pirates, so, you would not stand out much in there. Amrik is a regular there too, as far as I know. In fact, uses it for his money landing business. Better go at the evening, though, nothing to do at the day time anyway. Should you break a few things in there - just don't forget to pay for the furniture and you'll be fine with the Cap, I mean, Laraelra."
"Guess Mortlock did not carry much of a of family resemblance, true. But that bastard you will know when you see him - fanciest dress in the tavern. Likes black, well groomed, charming manners - you will see. By the way, try not to kill your last witness, will you? We need his mother, an though dead can talk, as witnesses... they do not inspire trust, you know."
"Strictly speaking, we are place him under arrest and bring him back here. If he is to resist we respond. If he puts cutthroat to kill us, well that will be their last action. And I suppose it goes with out saying if hellspawn show we can execute them with no worries," he says to clarify.

Adray took another blow and stumble back a moment. This man was wild and unpredictable and he had a hard time judging his movements. Taking a more measured approach he circled around the side a little and then tested out a quick kick to his legs and jab to the face.

Attack 1 Attack: 19 Damage: 4
Attack 2 Attack: 12 Damage: 4
"Any questions?"

"Captain can you give a brief description of him so we will know him when we see him?" Adray asks.
