"Ah... that's a terrible tale. Unnatural that is, burrying a child." he said with a solemn tone. "But ya did save some trouble. Good warnin about the knife ears and their discrimination. I'll keep it in mind." He's about to turn and leave and then stops. "You said somethin about a shrine, don't know much about magic but don't hurt to pay some respect right? Can you point me the right way?"
"Uh, sure," the dwarf says, pointing to the end of the town where a stone monastery sits upon a small hill, crumbling stone steps leading to it. "There it is. I hope ye have a nice day, but I have to get back to cleaning up."

"Right, Right. Sorry for takin' up yer time." he says and turns to walk a way. He walks a good ten or so paces and then calls out the dwarf in an overly loud voice hoping it carries to the barn. "Do ya know a good Tavern or Inn. I'll head there and should ya want a drink later, I can hook ya up." After receiving his answer he'll head that direction and hope he took enough of their time to do what they needed to in the barn.
As Black Cat notices nothing exciting is about to happen, he will emerge from his hiding place to walk beside Nirug. In Nirugs voice he will chirp, "Any news about town?"
If it's possible for Ash to take a quick look at the store goods and far enclosure before Nirug finishes his conversation, she'll do so and then sneak out back to Black Cat and Smoke.
When opening up the crates titled Store Goods, Ash sees an assortment of food and basic provisions. Meats, fruits, bread, and cheeses. The far enclosure holds nothing right now, as they have just brought some of the animals inside.

Nirug turned towards his friend and said, "Towns full of Elves that hate "exotics". They support the Emperor. Also, some powerful wizard named Vandur held off the Emperor's legion before he died. They have a shrine for him at the monastery there." He then points the direction the dwarf had pointed.
Seeing the encounter with the dwarves went well Smoke will follow Nirug and Black Cat to the inn but Smoke will stay outside a moment to speak with Ash
Well? See anything interesting?
Smoke will listen to her response and wait for Ash to go inside then Smoke will look around again to see if everyone made it inside and to see if someone is following them or looking at them from outside.
Then he will go inside to the rest of the group. Smoke wont mention seeing tracks of humans and thieflings yet not suspecting it is relevant at the moment.
“Nah - just a barn, some crates of food, bunch of unhappy horses - which I didn’t try and cheer up - and no-one’s done any maintenance for a long while. Sounds like Nirug got a solid lead though, with the wizard shrine?” Ash says, as she ambles over and heads inside the inn.
As you all eventually make your ways to the inn, sitting down at the large table already occupied by a few party members, you place your orders before you have, for the first time tonight, a decent chance to discuss your plans in the town.

Even while sitting Nirug remains near the height of a standing man. This makes him stick out but also allows him to easily see the others. Leaning forward he says in a quiet voice. "Seems like if you're not an elf, you'll have a hard time here in town. Beyond that, I heard there's a shrine here to a powerful wizard, might be worth to check out."
"We knew that from our warm reception," Aldin added, "speaking of which, we need to discuss how to play out that eventuality should we not finish our chore here tonight." The man took a quick look around, as if just mentioning the earlier scene would have a host of guards busting in to the tavern.
"If you think it prudent, I and Black Cat can do some night work. This temple sounds like a good start in my opinion."
Smoke's eyes widen when Nirug mentions the shrine. He leans in whispering back while Nirug is still talking A shrine ... powerfull wizard ....
His tail swiping around behind him he cant contain his excitement as he continues to speak, somewhat louder than before Yes that must be it!
Looking around if someone else heard him Uh .. Ale yes it must be Ale.
Leaning back towards the group Yes Aldin, you and Black Cat should go investigate but only look. Then come back here right away.
Smoke puts his hands together as hes continuously shifting in his seat. Meanwhile the rest of us should gather some information here and keep the eyes of the town on us.
For those who want a quick nap, this is your chance. Are we in agreement?
(ooc: what time would it be by now? im assuming its at least evening or night to give Aldin + Black Cat cover of night)
By now, the sun has fully set and inky blackness has settled over Dar'nath. It's probably about four hours until midnight.
At this time, a group of well-dressed elves walk into the establishment, picking a nice table and seating themselves. They take notice of the group almost immediately, seemingly surprised by the racial diversity displayed so prominently.

Aldin nods stoically and looks to Black Cat. He gives a quick look to the door indicating their direction. By now he knows that the Kenku has a marginally better skill at stealth than he and he accepts that in these matters, the little raven should lead. He stays alert however to the birdmans habit of being distracted by 'goodies'.
When outside, he would look for the best route to the temple, point it out briefly and let Black Cat go ahead.
Black Cat, blending in so well it's even hard for Aldin to see him at times. Black Cat darts between alleyways of residential rows and marketplaces, eventually leading to the crumbling steps leading to this monastery, which is a building that formally must've been the star of the town. Built with grand arches and high ceilings with vaulted hallways, the stone building, though old, is a stunning sight. Old banners hang down from the peak of the monastery, as well as a moss that has begun to grow on some of the building.

Jorel will notice the table of elves staring and turn to smile and wave, to the host/server, “Would you send them a round and put it on my tab? Let them know they’re welcome to join us if they’d like too, please?” His voice ringing with honest sincerity.
