Dalavash looks over at the large lizardman charging to his new companion and for a moment his hand goes to his darts but it quickly becomes apparent that there was no fight sought. Therefore he focuses on paying for the drinks and setting them up at an available table while keeping in mind the newcomers.
After a bit Marril observed the group with everyone talking about the end of the world and couldn’t help but be stuck between wondering if they where all insane or all serious, she decided to not think to much about it and went to the bar and ordering a drink

Kren will stand silently in line accepting the coin back. "I'll let you know." He'll then wait his turn, but pay careful attention to what goes on in the tavern.
Kouss' eyes widen to the point of being full, disconcerting circles. His spine sail fully extends and quivers slightly. He grabs Aiden by the shoulders and looks directly into his eyes. A faint chirping sound seems to come from the back of Kouss' throat for a brief moment.
For years Kouss has traveled... Trying to find hints of this evil and allies to aid Kouss... Before this one... This Aiden... Kouss has never found another being with this knowledge... Aiden will be a powerful ally... Aiden and Kouss and Marril will save the world!...
His eyes lose focus slightly as he looks about six inches to the left of Aiden's head.
What?... Kouss has Aiden and Marril... Powerful allies... Why would Kouss talk to more beings??... More beings would be a herd... Kouss already has a herd... Once the world is safe Kouss will return to the herd... The other knows Kouss does not want a new herd...
Kouss' grimaces and hisses quietly. He looks back to Aiden.
Does Aiden have other powerful allies to aid in this quest?...
Kouss is startled by the halfling approaching from his blindspot. He turns and drops his arms to his sides, his spine sail standing straight out and tail swishing slowly. Crouching slightly with his staff at the ready, he realizes Coryn means no harm and feels a bit sheepish as the cleric's words sink in. He gives a big, toothy grin in the manner of the soft ones when trying to interact socially. It would probably come off as frightening to the average city-dweller. Kouss straightens back up as a glimmer of liquid briefly forms in the corner of one eye but then is gone.
Kouss wonders what this one calls itself... Why would a being so small concern itself with the matters of a god?... Why would a god concern itself with a matter of Kouss?... Kouss does not yet know what form this evil takes or from whence it hails... Aiden and Kouss and Marril will find and destroy it... Powerful allies... This one will tell Kouss what it knows to help Kouss...

You stand inline for the pensive. As you dunk your head in to see what the fates and the the chromera needs done a commotion breaks out in your side vision. Too late though, your momentum dips your face into the water. You are in the jungles of Blood Forest. A girl is running from you, you look down and see a need in floating yellow letters that says: Amara Stonehart. You raise your hand and in it is a net. She looks at you and you are plunged out of the pensive world.
Ma sees the tension gathering from the awkward questions and wording of the lizard man and Shoot, "A round of yellow on the house!" The crowd woops and most patrons go to the bar to get there free booze. The tables are now mostly empty with plenty of places that business, pleasure, or even revenge can be discussed in relative privacy.
"Thank you mr. meepo!" The Locathah would say with a large toothy grin as he reached down to shake the kobolds hand. "I will meet you at the inn if you do not wish to make any purchases.." He would add before entering the sprawling shop. Once inside he would make his way around... looking for Glassblower's Tools and Studded leather armor, as well as a few supplies to help with his alchemy.
"Hello my fine fishy friend I see you have your large bulbous eye on this glass blowers kit," A small round goblin says as he floats to you cross legged on a floating disc, "A lost art if you ask me. I can part with that for 30 gold and i'll even throw in this." The goblin makes a small black velvet bag appear in his own hand.
Meepo, a copper koboldt, watches the group causing such a comotion near the bar. he keeps looking for those lost things as he watches what this group does next.

(Sleight of hand roll is my previous post...)
During the commotion you see someone with their head in that weird bowl of water. On the hem of his top a button hangs on by a literal thread. Soon to be lost to the world. Lost to the chaos. Lost.
Dalavash watches the interaction with interest while drinking his own mead, enjoying the smooth honeyed flavor. He briefly looks over at Kren to see where he is in line and is satisfied that he has reached the pensive. After checking on him he turns back to the interaction between the reptilian men.
(not rolling as he isn’t looking for anything suspicious)
Marril seemed to be content with getting the free drink as she let out a small sigh looking into the cup... could she really be an adventurer... she had always wanted to really explore the world and well... live life but the current order made that difficult...maybe this was a chance for her

"Hello friend, thirty gold and that nice bag.... well I don't think I could possibly turn down an offer that good." Phil would say with a smile as he reaches for his coin pouch. "I am a bit of an inventor of sorts.. an artificer to be exact and I am only as good as the tools I possess" The locathah would add. "You know I would be interested in a set of tinkerers tools as well if you have any... I used to use a set owned by my father.. Ralph.. Ralph Wonderwand. He had a wonderful set that I used to craft the armor I am wearing right now. It helps me to breath without having to soak myself every few hours..." Phil would say, sounding somewhat impressed with himself. "You know, perhaps if you could offer me some kind of bundle bargain on both sets if tools... I could advertise them for you.." The bulky artificer would say as his large bulging eyes lock on the goblin. "I could credit all my future inventions to the help of my trusty high quality tools that could only have come from your shop of course.." Phil would finish with a wide toothy grin.
The unassuming gnome in the leather cap enters the tavern as the barkeep yells something about a round on the house. He takes advantage of the commotion to post up in a corner for a moment and survey his surroundings. A lizardfolk and a dragonborn were busy discussing something energetically, and he noticed others gathering around them hearing their discusson. A mountain of a goliath stood with his head in a bowl near the tortle on the piano. He decided to use the commotion to move a little closer to the group and listen in. Perhaps he would be able to gather an idea on some work, or what They had sent him here for.
Aiden just stood quietly letting the lizardman talk, it was better to see how Kouss thought before fully interacting with him, he was about to speak as this new individual entered the fray asking about the plague and coming darkness, only to mention the god Pelor, Aiden couldn’t help but smile as he held out his hand “Always a pleasure to meet another follower of a god and by all means it can’t be anything but divine providence that we should all meet here on this day.”
He turned his attention back to Kouss “If this man was called, then he is truly a powerful ally to us. I welcome your assistance Coryn and hope both our gods will watch over us now.” With that Aiden turned his attention back to Kous and pointed to the companions that he has made “We were in fact looking for a quest to go on and this seems like to much of a coincidence for us all to ignore. Why don’t we talk about our stories a little more and decide over drinks, it seems we just got some for free for some reason.”
Shaking Aiden’s hand, Coryn explains to Kouss, “Well this one is called Coryn Sunmeadow, pleasure to make your acquaintance. As to why I concern myself with godly matters, it might be because I am a cleric to Pelor, so in his employ you could say. As to why he concerns himself with your endeavors, it might just be that this danger is too great for me alone, and require your aid.” Turning to face Aiden, Coryn looks at the others in this small group and nods graciously. Asking the much taller dragonborn, he asks curiously, “And who do you follow my enormous compatriot?”
Dalavash continues to look on while the worshipers discuss visions of world destruction while wondering if such things were truth or the delusions of mind afflicted with some ailment. Along his travels he had met some men who seemed not right in the head, many of which had spoken of prophecy although those men tended to not be as well spoken or composed as Aiden...they often came across more like the larger Lizardman Kouss.
"Well if there is something to be done to improve the quality of life of the people then I am up for it but we will need more than vague visions to proceed,"Dalavash says in his calm voice before taking another sip of the delicious brew.
