Nym was much of the same mind as Chrys regarding sleeping up in the tree branches, not used to such heights with living underground. But heights ended up being the least of her worries. She had already gotten comfortable in her bedroll when the wolves howls sounded again much louder and nearer than before as they surrounded their camp. The elf attempts to scramble out of her bedroll but her franticness makes her attempts clumsy and she wastes much time simply extracting herself and getting upright. Pale lavender eyes flitting about as the wolves immediately go after the heavily armored dwarf while Lumen cuts down some of their numbers through putting them under a magical slumber. It seemed like chaos and more action than she had seen in the past week.
Drawing her longsword, Nym tried to think of what would best help or what should be priority. As she dawdled, one of the wolves rushed through the treeline and dove at her, but her armored forearms helped her avoid its fangs piercing her skin. Pushing the wolf back with a grunt, the cleric was about to attempt to swing at it with her sword. But seeing the massive dire wolf attack Chrysoberyl and then Kessdarra and her decision was made for her. Gritting her teeth, the drow thumbed the small opalescent feldspar in the hilt of her longsword while holding it aloft, "Eilistraee let your Moonbeam smite this beast!"
The moon Selune peered down into the clearing before a forty foot high pillar surrounded the one largest wolf, bathing it in silver radiant light for a moment before it seems to erupt in ghostly flames.
(Need the Dire Wolf to make a DC 13 CON save. Full damage would be 10)
Fighting through the initial fog and distraction from the attack, partly due to this very different environment she's in, Nym calls for the the power of Eilistraee, and a single beam of silvery moonlight streaks down from the sky and lands right the huge dire wolf that's currently attacking Kess.
I’ll let Chrys roll her inspiration die to see if she hit last round.
Regarding Sleep- Yes, it’s not concentration, but the 20’ radius would include all of you. It’s lowest HP first, so you can take your chances and hope that the wolves have fewer HP than you. (You’re pretty sure they do, at least the regular wolves. The dire wolf, you’re not so sure.)
One of Chrys's wild swings actually does manage to catch a wolf across the muzzle, and it crumples to the ground with a whimper, before going silent. "Alright! Who's next,"she yells, eyes narrowing at the dire wolf.
Lumen targets the dire wolf and whispers his eerie psychic melody. The wolf suddenly twists its head in a neurotic frenzy, and then turning away from Kess, it goes charging back into the forest, entering the trees just beyond the perimeter of your camp, while barking and yelping in agony.
As Chrys downs one wolf, she stands firm against the other one, bracing her shield and doing her best to parry its vicious attacks with her hammer. Suddenly, though, it seems a little bit dangerous, since it's alone and not aided by the strength of the pack. Attack: 9 Damage: 5
Absolutely!!! You whack that damn wolf so hard you hear it's hip bone crack as its running way, and feel the thud from the blow all the way up your arm. Then, turning back around, you wind up and smash the other wolf so hard with Due Process that you kill it dead and send its body flying through the air at Kess, who's almost knocked off balance by the broken wolf corpse slamming into her back.
One wolf remains in the trees, along with the three that are still sleeping, and the dire wolf who ran away from Lumen.
Vesper's fire bolt is right on target this time. It nails the dire wolf right in the back, causing a great deal of pain and singed fur. The large canine nearly collapses, reeling near death from its injuries, but remains on its feet as it tries to flee more deeply into the woods.
The last remaining wolf that's still awake holds it's position just behind the perimeter of your camp, seemingly unsure what to do.

"Oof!" Kess is almost bowled over as she feels a sudden, meaty thud hit her in the back... and then something warm, slightly sticky and wet splashing onto her hair, followed by Chrys' apology. "It's... it's okay!"
Kess took a moment to collect herself, breathing in and out, doing the best she could to ignore for the moment that she had blood splashed into her hair. Sweeping her gaze over the field, she spied the massive alpha of a wolf sprinting away into the timbers.
(Focus... use the smoke as a target...) Dropping her blades, Kess brought up her longbow, nocking an arrow as she drew the string back. (Focus... calm... exhale... release! Nothing personal, but you're a danger to travelers and warriors alike... and as long as you're alive, this pack will be far too bold.)
Kess lets fly for the Dire Wolf, hoping to put it down and end its suffering with a clean shot...
Despite the terribly chaotic nature of the situation, and having the body of a dead wolf slammed against her back, Kess retains her composure as she pulls forth her bow. Staying focused on her aim, she sights the dire wolf as it’s tromping into the deeper woods, she releases the string and watches as the arrow sail true and fell the beast with a very well placed mercy shot.
Its pack now decimated, the other wolf turns tail and begins racing away, quickly heading away from you, deeper into the wood.
((Anyone can post now. The three other wolves remain sleeping.))
"We have maybe 45 seconds until those wolves wake up. Coup de grace, or tie them up, or run away? Or do we hope they're going to see their friends gone and depart themselves?"Lumen says quickly.
"Wolves that got the taste for humanoid flesh ain't gon' change their ways jus' cause we scared 'em. One big mean wolf takin' the lead one more time, an' they'll be right back ta tryin' to eat people,"Chrys says as she marches resolutely towards the sleeping wolves. "I'm sorry, but one already got away. I can do this m'self if y'all don't have the stomach for it, though,"she says as she hefts Due Process and approaches the sleeping wolves.
(Unless someone stops her, Chys will kill each of the wolves. Attack rolls just to make sure she doesn't boff even with advantage. With every hit being a crit, I think they would auto-die, though I can roll those up to if necessary. 3 attacks at advantage: 24, 17, 20)

Amethyst eyes following the fleeing wolf, Nym tries to guesstimate the distance and if any of them had a chance at still hitting it or if it had already completely escaped. Nodding at Chrys' words, the drow sighed. "It's not pleasant, but she's right. The one that just ran will already be dangerous enough as a lone wolf."Pursing her lips, Nym approaches one of the wolves that the dwarf didn't and murmurs a prayer to Eilistraee while using her longsword to dispatch it as quickly and mercifully as she can manage. ( 22 )
Wiping the blood from her blade on the very wolf it was from, the woman then turned to her companions and asked with concern, "Was anyone badly hurt?"
Kess' STR Save: 14
Kess grimaces in pain and bites back a shout of pain at the fanged jaws digging into her side, but manages to keep standing.

Onto Round 2. Here is the current situation:
Initiative Order (Red= sleeping)
Lumen is up!
(Not sure if this was lost in the deluge but Chrys was inspired by Lumen last turn... if forgotten, might have turned the miss to a hit.)
Can Lumen cast sleep again, at first level, on the wolves attacking Chrys? It's not concentration and I don't see a rule/description why not...
I’ll let Chrys roll her inspiration die to see if she hit last round.

Thank you, I totally forgot that could apply to attack rolls :) 5
pretty sure that 16 hits, so she did 13 dmg
That’s enough to kill it, so now Chrys is currently engaged with only one wolf.
One of Chrys's wild swings actually does manage to catch a wolf across the muzzle, and it crumples to the ground with a whimper, before going silent. "Alright! Who's next," she yells, eyes narrowing at the dire wolf.
Lumen grumbles at the biggest wolf and casts dissonant whispers for 8 psychic damage on a failed WIS 14 save.
He inspires Kess with his bonus action, seeing she's struggling a bit.

Vesper and Chrys are up.
(Attack of opportunity against the Dire Wolf? The only Crawford tweet I see about it says it does. If so:
Chrys takes a swing at the retreating dire wolf, yelling loudly: 17 to hit, 12 damage)
Turning to the last wolf, Chrys glares at it angrily. "Down, girl!" she snarls right back at it, swinging her hammer.
Attack: 26
Damage: 16

Vesper is up.
"Whoops! Sorry!" Chrys yells at Kess apologetically.
Vesper aims for the Dire Wolf in the trees and tries not to be too off-target this time.
