As you enter the next room The cobblestone floor contains two trapdoors blocked open by iron spikes. The north wall holds a dry fountain carved with an overarching diving dragon. A faint rotten stench pervades the room.
The two marked areas on the map are traps that were jammed open by the lost adventuring party. Examining each one reveals a 20-foot-deep pit containing only rat bones, rusted metal bits, and filth. Chances to find or follow the trail noted in area 28 are similar here. The trail of the missing adventuring party skirts around the traps and leads to the western wooden door.
"Probably a good idea." Leon confirms with a nod of his head. "Meepo, which way do we head from here? I see the one door, so is that the correct direction, or is there another path?" Assuming it is just the one door, Leon will move to it and investigate the door for traps.

A character who approaches the western door can smell the stench of rotten meat coming from the other side.
An oppressive smell suffuses the air, rising from chewed carcasses of cave rats, smaller vermin, and a few humanoid-looking creatures. The bodies lie upon a floor of filth, old bones, hair, and fur that combine to make a particularly large and vile nest
Trystan turn
(sorry, I had this written but wasn't posted it seems)
Trystan lunges with the dagger to stab the rat.
Attack: 7 Damage: 6
You have killed the rat

You see the western door to your left looks to be the only door in here
Tolroc will search the room for traps.

Chances to find or follow the trail noted in area 28 are similar here. The trail of the missing adventuring party skirts around the traps and leads to the western wooden door.
The dry fountain on the northern wall looks remarkably like the one described in area 26.
Pointing towards the disarmed traps "It looks like going forward we will have to be very careful so we don't get hurt."
"Probably a good idea." Leon confirms with a nod of his head. "Meepo, which way do we head from here? I see the one door, so is that the correct direction, or is there another path?" Assuming it is just the one door, Leon will move to it and investigate the door for traps.
Meepo says " This is the way through that door"

Trystan brings his crystal to his nose and you might feel the smell of lavander if you are close enough. (Prestidigitation)
He slowly opens the western door, trying to be silent in case there's something or someone dangerous on the other side of it.
Leon backs up Trystan as he goes to open the door...
Tolroc will keep his rapier and a dagger at the ready as Trystan and Leon investigate the door.
Dot will ready behind her shield but stay within 15' of Trystan and Leon

Meepo says " Oh no! Guthash!"
Leon looks over the nest. "Another mistaken turn?" He asks the kobold.
He says "No, we move forward, no turning back"
"Very well." Leon says with a nod. He pauses to check out the nest for anything of use or value before they move forward.
