The stairs aren't dangerous to traverse, however, combat while on the narrow path can be risky. 60 ft down you can see a small landing. You can see a small court yard as you descend. Leon give me a dexterity save please.
You all make it down 60 ft of stairs. The narrow stairs empty into a small courtyard, apparently the top of what was once a crenellated battlement. The buried citadel has sunk so far into the earth that the battlement is now level with the surrounding floor. That floor stretches away to the north and south, composed of a layer of treacherous, crumbled masonry, which reaches to an unknown depth . To the west looms the surviving structure of what must be the Sunless Citadel. A tower stands on the west side of the courtyard.
"I am fine." Leon says, dusting himself off. He checks his weapons first, making sure everything is in order, then he glances at the area before them. "That looks fairly bad for crossing..." He comments, taking in the crumbled ground ahead of them. "Should we go straight across or stay by the wall for added support?"
Tolroc reveals to the rest what he saw before the descended down the rope; the goblin spears, old fires and unusually large rats tracks.
After Leon recovers, Tolroc will say to him, “Leon, I’m pretty light on my feet. Well, I’m pretty light period, and have scouted in the past. Would you like me to go first and try out the path first?”
If Leon agrees, he’ll take the lead and start carefully heading down. If Leon doesn’t agree, he’ll say, “Alright. I’ll be over here if you need me,” indicating his current position I the marching order.
Tolroc will quietly and carefully take the lead, which is the first time in the entire journey that he has not carried on a conversation with someone in the group.
Zak had been kind of quiet heading down the crevasse, and then down the stairs. He's been too busy looking at the amazing structure that comes before them as they descend. Zak's jaw basically hits the ground when he sees the sunken castle and almost misses Leon fall altogether.
"Woah Leon! Those stairs sure were slippy yeah?"
To DoT: "Looks like your healing powers might come in handy in a place like this..."
Zak also looks to Trystan - very glad he's with the group. There's something about him that intimidates the Half Orc (although most things do!)
Zak will then follow in behind Tolroc - but allowing him to scout ahead first. "Looks like we should go thata-way" and points to the West, to what appears to be the entrance to the Citadel.
Looking down the hole "Please be careful, that could be dangerous." as the rest of the party makes their way down the rope Dot will follow.
You all make it down the rope to the ledge area where the stair well is. Can someone list marching order please.
OOC: Ideally Dot would like middle or back but she can run front line if no one wants it.
Leon will take a front position, leading the way.
Survival: 6
Perception: 19
Trystan will stay towards the back. "If it gets too dark for anyone, let me know and I will light the way."
Ooc: Trystan has dark vision to 120, if it comes up.

You feel yourself slip on some rumble going down about 15 ft from the bottom. You take no damage though.
"Watch your step, it's a bit loose for footing..." Leon warns the others.

Are there any special herbs down here that could be used for ointment or healing potions?

No nature down here of value
Yes, but who ever decided to go over to the west side first is important
