" While we weren't able to catch our assailant by following them, we do still k ow their goal to be these farms, but there is too much farmland to keep an eye on all of it at once. They could attack anywhere. No we need to figure out what they were after if anything other than fear." Percy turns and speaks to the farmer, " I do appreciate your apology sir, I too let my irritability at the situation slip through and treated a victim poorly. I apologise. But let us work together now, in a better mindset. Do you remember when the attacks started and who was attacked first? Was anything taken in the last attack or ever?"
If he can get any information Percy would like to draw out a map of the attack patterns and try to deduce where they might strike next.

" of course the problem with all this is that the pattern was disrupted last night. They could be on to us already."
Percy picks up the paper and turns it so that only Graxxy can see it and sends a magic spark into it. The words " or there could be an informant. Where is the other farmer?" Appear upon the paper and then disappear as he brings it back to show everyone else.
The farmer gives the best descriptions of the events as he can remember. They started around a month ago and at first were just some slain cattle. But then they started going after and burning the barns. We have occasionally seen orcs that patrol the forest, and that is how we knew it was them. We have seen how they watch us and lust for our food and property. He thinks they are trying to scare the farmers back further towards the city of Odaigo.
After describing the farms that were attacked in an order, Percy begins to realize that the attacks started from the north-east (this was towards the area where the sewer drain exit was) and have slowly been working their way to the farms closer to the town of Odaigo. The attacks have never been fatal to any of the farmers, but they seemed to constantly attack livestock and burn anything they can. The attacks were consistent in frequency of every other night, but even as the farmers would prepare for the attacks, they could never seem to track the humanoid like figures once they got into the fields and fled.
OOC: you can push for more information if you like, but I just wanted to answer your immediate questions.
" so besides seeing orcs in the forest none of you have really been able to catch a glimpse of the ones commitimg the attacks before they escape into the fields?"
"Well I mean..." the farmer stutters briefly "They are clearly not human! I don't know how to describe it but they just look different. They got hunch backs and the way they run is not how humans run."
twirling one of his braids gorlok speaks to graxxy
”not orc, not human...if wer ta get to tha bottum o this, weh need ta find a way inta tha sewers. surely tha townsfolk woulda seen a creature such as that livin among them. must still beh lurkin in tha sewers et is.”
"My concern Gorlok is as a child we use to hold a torch and light our flatulent. With all the gas from multiple people we may incinerate ourselves." says Graxxy seriously.
gorlok shudders at the thought of meeting his doom in a fiery poop explosion.
“aye lad, that is a legitimate concern. Back in tha iron hill kingdom of Khazad-rhun, whed use simple enchantments ta light ordinary tools wit a brilliant light. Perhaps Odaigo has such items weh could shop fer. any common mage could perform such a trick.”
"Sadly I can only make dim lights without preparation and materials." Percy demonstrates by sending a spark into the paper again and causing it to light up dimly (5ft). "If we can find some err um "locksmithing tools" I might be able to pick the lock since brute force couls not open it. We also may be able to contact our "commander" and see if we might be able to arrange official entry."
gorlok grabs his nether region with exaggerated enthusiasm.
“HAH! Ward knight Melcher es about as helpful as meh big wart!! If weh are ta tackle this endeavor, weh need tado et without the officials breathin down are necks. wouldnt trust em, not at all.”
The group gathers their items and heads back to Odaigo. They reach the West Gate and move to the tent where they met Melcher before. Upon arrival, they walk inside and are greeted by another guard. He informs the group that Melcher went back to Eastgate in order to deal with some local crime. Continuing over to the Eastgate guard house, they find a small wooded building that is two stories, upon waking in they find Melcher talking to a guard. When he sees your group, he greets you saying "Ah welcome back. More orc heads for me today?"
"We seem to have found the location of the forces assaulting the farms, but they seem to be hiding out in the sewer pipe on the North side of the farmlands. Is there any chance we could arrange official entry to deal with any orcs hiding there?"
Melcher scratches his chin and he says "Sewer pipe? Doesn't sound like any orcs I know. I sat in on the interrogation of Grush the other day and he says they never left the forest until a few orcs went to trade for medicine. I doubt they would hide in the sewers though." Melcher pauses for a second and says "Well you did a great job last time. If you would like entrance into the sewers you will need to go talk to a man named Turvin Rittle. The Rittle family has been in charge of city maintenance and upkeep for generations now. They handle the cleaning of the streets, the sewer system, hell they are even in charge of ringing the city bell every three hours during the day. That's where you can find sir Turvin. The Rittle house is connected to the large bell tower near the center of town. Trust me, you can't miss it. The tower is 125 feet tall and is quite the beauty. They are pretty busy at the moment though preparing for the festival in four days, so try to be respectful..." Melcher makes a side glance to Gorlok.
Percy bows to Melcher. "Thank you very much for your help and faith in this matter sir. We are also concerned about the identity of the creatures hiding within the sewers, as the farmers were unable to make out what they were. We are concerned they could be a second group of orcs or another species. We will do our best not to get in the way of the festival preparations and take care of this investigation in a timely manner."

There is much to consider.

"Thanks for the water earlier. Can I have some more?"
"Not Orcs...." Graxxy sighs under his breath as he turns away from the conversation to think.

The farmer leaves while the adventurers discuss their next move to retrieve Ulala some water.
“Let’s go see this commander. That’s a smart move. They should either have the key or know how we can get in there.” Says Graxxy
Graxxy starts walking back to town.
Gorlok clears his throat and spits at the idea
”Aye suspect well only fine trouble involving areselves wit these pretty boy commanders, but if thas wut ya wish, so beh et.”
"Maybe we can talk him into some other form of payment for dealing with another of the city's problems." Percy suggests.

"Before we head out may I ask what activities will take place at this festival?" asks Graxxy.
