With a fairly significant list to shop for Keth nods as he leaves the tavern with friends in tow. His first priority would be to ask on the streets for a livery or other such place to purchase beasts of burden and the equipment that goes with it.
OOC: Keth, Livly and Brace are shopping. Volkher is already out. Ulfgar and Landrae remain in the Knight.
"My name is Tali," the girl says smiling at Keth slightly nervous, "I'll hold the room uh for the coming month this will about cover that," she adds quickly taking the platinum off the counter. She jots something down in her ledger and nods at him. "We're please to house your...group," she says as if groping for a name.
Ella brings Landrae a wash basin to her room and a small pitcher of hot water. It's the size of a large mixing bowl not a bath tub.
"The baths as I said are at the Sunite temple," Ella says. "Brightie and I go once a week for a good wash but this is all the Knight can muster. Your clothes can be cleaned there too. The Sunites are a vain lot but a clean one," sge adds with a smirk leaving Landrae to her washing up.
What's Ulfgar doing?

Livly, Keth, and Ulfgar make their way into the city. Where are they headed and what do they seek first?

Not far away but much earlier than the others Volkher is shopping at the Griffin's Talons.
"Shhhh.....," the gnome exclaims. "We are just herbalists boy," the gnome says gesturing to the human woman who moves to the door closes and locks it. She then returns to work. Now apparently alone with interruption the gnome sizes Volkher up. "We've got premade poisons boy but the things you seek are not easily made without great skill. I can sell you the components but can you be sure to brew them correctly? It's not a hobby for just anyone," the whizzen gnome says now stroking the black cat who's looking curiously at Volkher with penetrating analysis with its wide yellow eyes.
The human continues to dust as if she doesn't care someone's in the shop at all.
Roll persuasion or ask for premade poisons. I can get you a link.
Keth would lead the group first to find a place to purchase horses and donkeys so a Livery of Some sort. If they don't know of one he would look for any that resemble his kinsman that could point the way.
“I have studied medicines for several years, I may not know as much as you, but I did study under a gnome,” Volkher will try to sound convincing while remaining polite, “But I will look at what you have if you’d prefer.”
"A simple horse is fine for me. A draft horse maybe. I can save a little for my other requirements like a nice shortsword or such. I appreciate your help Keth."
Keth sees no half-orcs in the Middle Ward. Investigation with aid if Livly and Brace are helping.

Volkher doesn't convince the gnome he knows what he's looking for but does know what herbs do what to creatures. Quickly glancing over them he spots what he needs and points them out.
"That'll be thirty gold pieces please. Make sure you know what you're doing," the gnome stresses again as the human woman begins pulling down the herbs.
Volkher can combine with his poisoner's kit and proficiency rolls can make 6 applications to be placed on blades or projectiles with this amount. To be imbibed the application is more like 10 doses.
"Require anything else," the gnome asks as the human woman holds the package awaiting payment.

Volkher will pay her with platinum, “I think this is all for now, but I’ll likely stop back again sometime. (In gnomish) Perhaps on a future visit there will be time for lessons from one so learned,” bowing his head slightly at the gnomish woman.

By definition, please consider Livly always helping - that was the very reason she came with Keth.
Brace dissipated a little the comical contrast of a tiny halfling walking by tall half-orc, but even with that the group was probably attracting some attention. Livly answered to the side-glances with an open smile and curiously looked at everything around. "Nice town, sweet people," declared she looking at yet another man changing the side of the road as the group approached. "You thing they can point us to the stables?"
Keth notices two for one. A livery and a forge are near the end of the street from the Knight. As he and the party move through the thoroughfare they notice a smattering of refugees or what looks like their folk in local clothes as well as a few who look lost. They are also asking for any coin that people care spare. Before they can apporach the the ward watch appears. Men and women in suits of armor and gold capes with the crest of the city.
Symbol:
The watch move the beggars along casting hard glances at any one who would defy them. Murmurs come from the busy street before the crowds disperse back to their morning business.
Approaching the livery and forge Keth, Livly, and Brace find a red-faced dwarven woman hammering at the forge while a mix of humans, half-elves, and other dwarves are helping others looking for horses and arms.
"Hello," bellows a dwarven man with a big smile from a perch on a stool with a ledger in his hand. "Can I help you," he asks next with a bright expression before winking at Livly then looking over rhe others before returning his gaze to Livly.
"Hello!" Livly smiled back and begun in Dwarvish out of politeness but switched back to common for everyone's participation. "We are searching for someone willing to help a group of travellers to get some horses. Mules will do to. Anything, really, to help in our endeavor. Did we come to the right place?" Her smile could not be more friendlier.
Keth had watched the Ward watch with a cold fury as they treated the people on the street so poorly. These were his people not just feckless beggars. He bided his time however, the company of Brace and more importantly Livly was enough to calm him for the time being.
He marveled as they walked in to the joint venture of livery and forge. He looked this way and that but stayed with the group. "Fine shops you have here," he commented.
Landrae thanks Ella, "Ah, my misunderstanding sorry Ella. I shall head to the Sunite temple then, could you provide me with some directions unless you fancy joining me? I feel the need for a good soak to wash the weariness away." Seeing her dwarven companion as the last remaining party member in the Knight, Landrae shouts over to Ulfgar, "Oi, ya bearded wee man, fancy coming to the baths with me? I want one, and I'd be willing to bet you need one!"
Volkher will pay her with platinum, “I think this is all for now, but I’ll likely stop back again sometime. (In gnomish) Perhaps on a future visit there will be time for lessons from one so learned,” bowing his head slightly at the gnomish woman.

OOC: apologies this post just popped up for me!! Weird!
"I teach for a fee," the old gnome replies. "They called me the Great Griffin but I'm just plain Griffin now," he says his eyes wrinkling as he smiles. "Helen is my apprentice," he adds gesturing at the human woman now making Volkher change begrudgingly.
Helen nods.
"Here," Helen says abruptly pushing the package forward.eyeing Volkher suspiciously now.
"Kindness Helen. Kindness is currency too," Griffin says as Helen sighs going back to dusting.

Brace walks through the streets knowing that the guards are not after him in particular but wants to stay away from anything specific as well. He keeps himself as inconspicuous as possible. The armor and gold capes representing the city on the guards have beautiful designs and he watches as they clear the streets of the less fortunate. Not that many hours ago he was hungry and tired and he feels for those who have no skills in which to bring in a few coppers to feed empty bellies.
The livery and forge are welcome reminders of purpose and activity toward a goal. He Listens to Livly and is grateful for her energy as they learn what is available and what might not be.
Once he has a chance to speak to the bellowing dwarf he says "I could use the best blade of steel you can make that is of the shortsword variety and we are looking for any draft horses and mules, though I understand if we need to talk to the livery more directly on those requests. Are you able to help us?"
Volkher will nod to the gnome and turn to the apprentice, “Do not worry miss, I’m not after your position,” back to the gnome, “Thank you again, I will return when we’re back in the city.” And he’ll head for the inn, keeping an eye out for members of his party.
OOC: Just some house keeping. I hope everyone is reading everyone else's posts. We're getting some double dialog. Nothing crazy but just a heads up.
Ella draws a crude map to the temple of Sune. It's about twenty minutes on foot still in the Middle Ward but nearly on the other side of the ward to the great market that separates the First Ward and the Middle Ward.
Landrae and Ulfgar make it in no time finding the elaborate white marble temple of Sune amongst the modest but cheerful house of Chauntea, the great tree of Mielikki, and the stone library of Mystra. These four temples face one another in a giant square facing on all four sides at the center a large imposing statue of Emperor Alerain holding a scroll and a sword. Approaching the temple of Sune Ulfgar sees a couple of handsome men and women standing on the steps outside the white marble temple. They have spotless golden armor with crimson cloaks. They are groomed and express, visibly, all of the Lady Firehair's virtues. There's also a line of common folk entering the side of the temple were steam is clearly visible wafting from what looks like a walled garden.

"The livery has riding horses my friends. Our mules and draft horses for labor. No need when most my clients are humans or lighter," the dwarf shrugs then smirks.
