The flask is sort of rectangular, longer than it is wide, and wider than it is flat, with the mouth on one of the short sides. The whole flask is slightly curved, as if created to comfortably rest against someone's hip in a pocket. (A large pocket: it is about ten inches long by 6 inches wide by two inches thick.) The corners are rounded, and the thin side edges have a simple wave pattern on them. The broader sides of the flask have a series of lines with curlicues in the corners forming a sort of thin frame, inside which is an elaborate design which may be either stylized leaves and flowers, or the abstract artistic imaginings of the engraver. Arcane symbols could easily be hidden within the complex design, but none that you recognize. There is a heavy screw-on cap, connected to a ring around the neck of the flask by a short chain.
Raven is no magician, but she is entirely certain that this flask is a magical item. What it does and how to make it work, she has no idea.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Odd magic at that," murmured Elwin as he realized there was no smell from his mug, and no visible liquid inside. Taking back the flask, he carefully tilted the mug to pour... nothing?... back into the flask. Curiously, he heard the liquid splash back inside, but saw nothing flowing. Tightening the cap, he sat the flask back down, and tried to recall if he'd heard of anything similar.
Remembering a description from the magical lore that he had poked into for a while, in the attempt to better understand this whole 'warlock' thing, Elwin suspects that he is holding a Decanter of Endless Water.
If only he can learn the lost command words somehow...

As Quentin comes down to the group he says, "We were able to negotiate a deal with her. So once we're done here we can inform the satyrs." Giving Elwin a curious glance as he plays with the flask.
The human blinked at the announcement, then grinned. "Well, that was a fast win. Maybe this nonsense can be squashed without any further trouble."
Holding up the flask, he asked the group, "I think I've heard of this. It's probably a flask of endless water. But we don't have the magic words to activate it. Does anyone here have access to anIdentifyspell?"
Quentin rolls his eyes at Mindartis before saying, "I am a wizard. But no, I do not know exactly how to do that spell. And even if I did, it requires material components I don't possess."
"I did find out that coaches run from the Academy to the Free City on a regular basis." Raven speaks up with a happy smile at seeing the others come down, apparently unharmed. "Also a few leads as to where I can ask more about what is going on in the Fens, where my father lives."
Well, all the good news! Well done, brothers! Del reacts to the deal Perhaps Lord Mindartis and I go out to talk to the satyrs? They seemed to like music. I am not sure how long that might take to wrap up - or if there will be snags. But I am wondering - is it better to stay here tonight, and hopefully get a bit more information while the Monkey's Butt is busy? Even if we raise the Academy before nightfall, we certainly won't get to do much on arrival other than find lodging. If we mean to do some investigating there, we would not be moving onto the Free City immediately anyway.

"I am fine staying here the night." Raven speaks up, but I believe the Lord," She gives Quentin a teasing smile, "wanted to get to the city quicker though..."
"I have a lead out at the academy for more information, or at least the idea there might be someone out there who could know more about the fens." Raven interjects again. "Why don't we bring those kegs you mentioned to the fey outside and then head over to the academy. We might have to return here for rooms for the night, but it would be good to know when the coaches run, since the serving boy did never tell me that, though I asked twice."
"I agree that speaking to the satyrs is the immediate concern. If that goes smoothly, then I'll go ahead and join those going to the academy. If not, we likely will want to retire here for the night anyway."
Del wants to go talk to the satyrs too. And you should ask them questions about what is going on in the fens and elsewhere. Seems like the fens, the gnolls, the missing kids, and the interpalnar invasions are going to all come up until someone solves them all.
Happy to go to the Academy tonight, but we probably cannot go there and back so that will mean just sleeping there and starting investigations in the morning.
