Mindartis nods, though it's pretty obvious that he's trying his best to restrain his fury at the whole incident. "So when did whoever this guy is shoot you?"
"Was flying back here. Got some new scrolls, materials for spells. Looking to teleporting further distances and well, a spell that'll give us all the information we could want on any legend we can think of." Quentin says with a smile, "Tried to spot him but couldn't..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"How about none of us take the arrow?" Raven says with a scowl. She scans the area, not expecting to see anyone, but more out of anger than anything else. "This assassin has picked the wrong targets this time, more the pity for him."
Quentin sighs some more in relief before saying, “I’m fine. Just need to rest. I got some letters to send out and some new spells to copy. Maybe we should check the arrow. For any poison or magical residue on it. Research on our new enemy. And I hate to say it but, no sleeping alone. In watched together might be best from now on.”
Raven scans the surrounding area with an eagle eye. She sees no hazards apart from the aforementioned archery practice, and an angry-looking chipmunk whose burrow Quentin is currently sitting on.

"If we manage to get ahold of a scrying scroll, we might just be able to track him down with that arrow," said Elwin toward Quentin, a hopeful tone in his voice. "Still, I suspect you're right Mindartis--he'd have to be pretty crafty, and a little mad, to try sneaking inside the castle at night."
Turning back to Quentin, he extended a hand to help him up. "We'll worry about the fight when it comes, though. For now... have you eaten yet, brother? Perhaps some good food can brighten this evening."
Quentin takes the hand as he replies, "I have not. Let's eat and I'll peel through my spellbooks to see what I can do. But scything does sound effective, however, I know its very expensive too."
"Isn't there also the chance he's protected from scrying?" Mindartis asks, starving from the workout/sparring he had done earlier but still trying the shove down the desire to track down this greyelf in the woods here and now, fury ringing in his ears he was doing his best to ignore.
"Perhaps," continued Elwin as he helped Quentin to his feet. "Might be the case, CONSIDERING HOW MUCH OF A COWARD HE IS!" Elwin raised his voice on the latter part, looking around as if expecting the assailant to come rushing at him angrily for the insult. After a second, he just shrugged and smirked a bit self-consciously before patting Quentin on the shoulder and heading back to finish his meal.
The elf fools insist on gingerly lifting the blood-soaked Quentin to the centaur's back and carrying him back to the hall in ceremony. Looking intensely relieved at his survival, the musicians start playing again, and the pixies flit around his head. They are not quite as exuberant as usual, all a little subdued by the near-death experience. They are permitted inside the hall, "But only for as long as it takes for you to bring Lord Quentin to safety," the door guard sternly declares.
Soon all of you are back in the dining hall, (or your rooms, as you prefer) and the fools have been politely evicted from the building. Sir Rokkeek has apparently been looking for Elwin, and takes him away, looking relieved...it is time for the ritual to commence once more.

Raven keeps an eye on their surroundings as they head back to the hall and then would stay close to the others, wanting to be there if anything foolish happens, such as an assassin sneaking into the castle after all.

Back to the dining room for Del. On the way &/or inside asks everyone We were about to start tracing the Red Sails connection, trying to unravel the conspiracy further. Do we drop that to hunt for Greyelf? Or do we keep to our plans until he reveals himself? I am not sure how we would start the hunt, except maybe the new hoop we acquired. Or maybe tracking Capt Akwot is the same as tracking Greyelf - not the same person, mind, but the same conspiracy.
