The creatures mutter among themselves, making airy mumbled sounds at the behavior of Aradurk and Hox. When Tanakir casts his spell, however, the demeanor changes to clear interest, almost awe-like, as they move closer.
The food they toss looks like some sort of plant, but it is heavy and feels almost gelatinous in Aradurk's hands. It tastes almost like wheat or some sort of grain to Hox, but its texture makes it unlike anything he has ever tasted before.
For Tanakir:
Their language clear to you, you pick out bits of their conversation between each other. "The weave exists here too...the ramifications indicate their presence on more than just ours...that one must be a pet...maybe that one as well. Do the others work the weave, I wonder?"
Tanakir looks for any creature that appears at all unique from the others to address that one directly (if they all look the same he'll speak to them as a whole), "Greetings. Before we converse further, we would ask what you know of Denorian."
Aradurk watches Hox eat the substance, observing for any signs of something bad. If there are no signs of ill intent, Aradurk will consume the substance.

Killian will keep her distance, moving aside to stay clear of any area effect attack. With everyone else being overtly friendly to the strangers, she'll take it upon herself to remind everyone to stay cautious. She rests her hand on her sword's pommel, eyeing each of the strangers in turn.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Gruun gives a knowing nod to Killian. With Tanakir talking to them Gruun slips off to a flanking position on the side. Keeping a close watch and will charge at any aggressive actions.
The strange, suited creatures converse between themselves again, then respond to Tanakir's query, attempting several languages. The first two attempts are unfamiliar, a harsh, gurgling language followed by one that sounds like little more than breathing. The third is understandable, a strange dialect of Common, broken but familiar.
"You know? You friend? Why you look Denorian?" one asks.
The creatures have not reached for any weapons, or made any semblance of a hostile move thus far. Their conversing between each other seems to be more curiosity than anything.
For Tanakir:
There was definite interest when you mentioned his name, but their reactions are too foreign for you to fully comprehend.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

"We do not...know...Denorian...find," one of the creatures responds. "You know...Denorian?" it asks slowly.
For Rycider:
You have noted one behavior that the suited creatures only started doing after Denorian was mentioned. Where before they were gazing at the party with apparent curiosity, their gaze is now more focused, as if they are looking for something specific.
For Tanakir:
Your spell allows you to pick up bits and pieces of their muttered conversations, in a language that they speak much more fluently:
"...would not care. That one barely speaks its own language better than we do."
"...can spin the weave...would want to know...should show it to them."
The creatures seem amused by Hox's antics. As some discuss and question, a couple off to the side continue to toss some more food scraps, aiming for the kobold's mouth.
Rycider makes some minor illusions to show off some power but also to mask her casting Comprehend Languages and listens intently to what they are saying before she lets on that she can comprehend.
Your spell allows you to pick up bits and pieces of their muttered conversations, in a language that they speak much more fluently. They pause for a brief moment however as you cast the spell, apparently aware of the casting.

(Can Tanakir attempt an insight to try and determine the creatures' reactions to him mentioning Denorian or are they too alien to comprehend?)

Rycider takes it all in, coughing into her hanky.
She tries to fathom their intent and if they are breathing with the aid of the apparatuses.
Tanakir tries to respond as diplomatically as he can, "I don't believe we 'know'. What are you referring to?"
Aradurk looks up: “We look for Denorian. We know. We friend. You know? You friend?”
