OOC: Botting Aradurk for this round with three rapier attacks. I do mark the spell slots, it helps me keep things straight.

The creature's hide feels like stone, turning away Hox's dagger with ease. Its natural armor does not offer the same protection against the magically crafted weapons of Aradurk, Gruun, and Killian, however. Following Killian's burst of flame, each weapon carves into the abomination's torso. Aradurk pushes the creature away, rolling beneath it as it fails to wrap itself around him. Its turns its attention toward Gruun, biting into his arm as he exposes it during an attack, but the barbarian ignores the burning poison. The abomination's arms and their massive scimitars never stop attacking Killian, and begin to wear her down with their speed and numbers. A trio of blades ring out as they clash against her armor, slowing her with the biting pain.
The creature staggers, its hiss becoming a roar of pain as blood pours from its sides.

Killian reels from the blows, but her now familiar grin flashes at each cut. Long hair flying, she dives into the fray, sword shining and trailing a bright light. Each hit (if she hits) is accompanied by a radiant burst of light.
Action: Attack twice with longsword in one hand (with Savage Attacker feat and as many uses of Divine Smite at 1st level as hits).
Attack 1: 23 to hit, for 18 magical slashing damage Attack 2: 11 to hit, for 16 magical slashing damage Savage Attacker: if this damage total is higher, please use it in place of one above: 15. (If a critical, then roll again for me?) Possible uses of Divine Smite if either or both attacks hit (one 1st level slot for each) take them in order 14 radiant and 9 radiant
?: Divine Smite is listed as radiant damage... I guess that's true for Oathbreakers, too? You can rule if you like, I'm okay with necrotic damage if you think it better/more fitting.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
OOC: Yep, it's still radiant damage, even if it's coming from a not-so-divine source.
This is actually a Huge creature, so Gruun isn't able to knock it prone (but it doesn't matter in the end).
Aradurk pierces repeatedly into the abomination's torso, pestering it as the majority of its form is occupied by Gruun's wild strikes. Even as his greataxe carves chunks out of its flesh, Killian sears through two of its limbs, her sword bolstered with its radiant energy. With one final hiss, the creature falls, lying still among the mist in the room, butchered much like the forms of the humanoids around it.
More mist emerges from the door as it opens with a hiss, sliding upward slowly while the glyphs that surround it glow in various shades of green, orange, and purple. Wind rushes in, swirling the mist in all directions. Beyond the door, a long, arching bridge stretches over a chasm of unknown depths, steeped in fog and covered in wind-blasted symbols.
OOC: Each character has received 2,500 XP for defeating the ancient abomination.
Killian stops to pant, sheathing her sword and looking over her many bleeding wounds. She picks up her bow, and stows it, strapping her shield on, instead. She won't make that mistake again. She limps to the door to look out at the chasm. "Windy," she remarks.

Gruun will secure the end of the rope to his own waist attaching near his dagger. "Let keep moving. Killian can you keep watch while I study the path?" Gruun will move forward slowly but consistent, studying and test the bridge for weak points and any tracks.
The wind buffets around Hox, but with Killian and Gruun holding firmly to the rope as the party moves forward, the kobold is able to safely explore fifty feet in all directions. The fog reduces visibility to around sixty feet, and Hox does not see any cliffside or ground on either side of the bridge or below it along the limits set by the length of the rope. The chasm is quite vast.
The other side of the arching bridge slowly comes into view as you approach it. The visage of a froglike creature emerges from the frog, its wide mouth the threshold of some great temple, and its tongue the very bridge on which you stand. Rows of immense columns flank either side of the wide archway.
OOC: Assuming there's nothing else to be done at the bridge to keep us moving.
The frog-like archway is ankle deep in dust. Massive coral frameworks sag from their frames, whatever doors they once braced having crumbled and decayed long ago. Inside is a mighty hall of misty twilight, with a shadowy stone roof upheld by columns like the trunks of forest trees soaring to an awesome magnitude. It has a sullen, breathtaking splendor, like a temple built by mad titans for the abode of a dark god. No trace of a footprint can be seen in the deep dust on the floor; millenniums must have passed since the last explorers sealed these silent halls.
The hall stretches through the darkness as far as any of your eyes can see, continuing onward.
Hox takes his dagger and goes for the snake man, hissing back at it.
