Rush finds a lot of evidence that people used to live here, but no dead bodies and no survivors. It's pretty clear to him, especially with those rolls, that this place was likely abandoned before it was attacked.
Andrømeda frowns, gazing around the quiet remains of Conyberry. She reaches down and pats Kwisatz on the shoulder. "Take hjerte, friend. Dir seems to be no død here. Maybe it vil be de same at de ranchen?" She grins down at Kwisatz then, a feral edge to it as she clenches her other hand into a fist. "If de vorst ha come to pass? Vi find de Orc, and do de same to dem." She straightens up at that and looks around again. "Either vay, de job vas to aid de folk dir if any live, and if de large Al is død, to bring proof, so vi must go. For now, de sol is getting low. Vi could see if dir is a place vith a roof here to rest in, and get an early start on de morrow, ja?"

It's not tough to find a place to make camp in this abandoned town. There are still some walls standing. Some of the buildings are even mostly intact with 3 or 4 walls and most of a roof still there. There's definitely some rubble from whatever caused the ice. But, finding shelter is pretty easy.
Once you find a spot that restricts access points and hides your camp fire (if you want one) from most directions, you are able to get some rest. ((Obviously, feel free to RP and talk and whatever else you would want to do, here.)) This will count as a Long Rest, so go ahead and mark that on your sheets.
"Today has been yet another busy day." Kwisatz says to the team, while casting his invisible servant to set up camp for him. "And tomorrow likely will be no slower... Though I would love a good night's sleep, we should definitely watch for danger. I'm still quite curious about that ice... I will take first watch while I check my notes if that's ok with everyone."
Since you said we can take a long rest, new portent: 520
And it's about bed time here irl, so when the party awakes, maybe I will as well ^^

((Got it. Good night, man!))
If Kwizats takes the first watch, what watch does everyone else want to take?
Constitution rolls (to see if each of you stays awake on your watch)
Kwisatz: 8
Andrømeda: 12
Rush: 14
Sael: 12
All of you stay awake during your watch. I made it a relatively low DC (Kwiz just barely made it...lol) because I figure that all things considered, it wouldn't have been all that tough for you all to stay up this night.
Now, for Perception rolls to see if you notice anything. (I'm raising the DC a bit if you don't have Darkvision since it's night time.)
Kwizatsis so engrossed in his notes and trying to figure out the answers to his curiosities that he wouldn't have noticed anything unless it bit him in the nose. He spent the time thinking about where the ice came from and where the people went. Did the people leave the city before the ice got here or because of it? Was it a creature or some sort of odd natural occurrence? If it was a creature, what kind of creature can do that? Before he knew it, it was time to wake Andrømedafor her watch.
Andrømeda spends her time at first, thinking about the horse. She is thinking about the images it showed her and how those images made it feel. She feels empathetic for them. She also feels slightly guilty about scaring the poor creature when she meant to do the exact opposite. After a while, though, her mind drifts to the Manticore battle from earlier. She feels both a sense of pride for claiming victory in that battle, but also a tinge of sadness that the creatures didn't just stay away. At the end of the day, she took pleasure in the victory, but not in the necessity for the fight. Then, she started thinking about how she's hoping that there are still some orcs at the ranch for her to kill. The idea of helping Big Al, or avenging him if he's dead, brings her great pleasure.
Rush is the only one that notices anything, at all. He got a good bit of rest and is able to focus on his watch. He mostly just hears the noises since its still dark out, as opposed to seeing anything. He hears the sounds of feet shuffling - animal feet. He can't be sure, but it sounds like the horses are moving, but it also sounds like there might be the sounds of another animal out there that aren't horses. Again, the sounds aren't approaching the camp site, but they are outside. At first, it sounds like the creature was walking down the road that the building you're in is off of. Then, after a few minutes, the creature turns off the road and heads in the direction the horses were. There is a musty scent in the air, as well.
Waking up the next morning Kwisatz feels relaxed and ready to continue his investigation. First he goes to see if there is any change in the ice from the night before. He also sends Duncan up to look around ((4)) while his unseen servant packs up camp for him. Seeing the rest of the team rise he says "We should try to get to town to see if there are any survivors..."
Andrømeda stretches a bit as she makes her way outside. She hears Kwisatz, and nods in agreement. "Vi should move quickly. Are vi alle ready?" She turns to the rest of the party in question.

Seeing the rest of the team rise he says "We should try to get to town to see if there are any survivors..."
((You were camping in what is the abandoned town. There are neither a bunch of dead bodies, nor survivors. This town is abandoned.))
Kwiz sees beautiful skies, a few other birds in the area, but nothing threatening. As for the ice, it has melted as much as one might expect it to melt through the night. It's actually decreased in volume by about half as much as was there the night before.
Everyone, including the unseen servant, is able to pack everything up. Rushgoes to check and see if the horses might be more amenable to being approached this morning, but they're gone. Whatever came through here last night probably scared them off.
Andrømeda stretches a bit as she makes her way outside. She hears Kwisatz, and nods in agreement. "Vi should move quickly. Are vi alle ready?" She turns to the rest of the party in question.
"Yes, let us hope there are survivors..." Kwisatz says, stretching his legs for another day of walking.
The party gets underway for their second day of traveling. At this rate, you will arrive just outside of the Ranch (by about half a mile or so) by the end of this travel day.
About half-way through the day, Duncan notices that there's a lone cow in some grassland a few hundred feet off of the Triboar Trail. There are no predators around and the cow is just munching on some grass.
As they travel Duncan flies down and communicates that he noticed a cow munching on his cud. Kwisatz looks up to his albino companion, sighs and says "Yes... thank you Duncan... that is very useful" while handing him a small morsel. He then turns to his companions and says sideways away from Duncan "He's usually a bit more perceptive... But this is the most traveling we've really ever done."
((assuming that means we're having an uneventful travel day...)) Arriving near the town a bit before dusk Kwisatz sends Duncan up to scout out the town ((23)), saying to the group "We should be careful. Though I'm sure we're all curious to see if everyone is ok, I'd rather not walk into a trap."
((You aren't approaching a town, at this point. The ranch, itself isn't near any town, specifically. It's more out in the middle of nowhere - nearest town was Conyberry. But, by the time the party gets to the end of your travel day, you'll be about half of a mile from the ranch.))
As the day wears on, and the party gets close to where they want to be stopping for the evening, Duncan flies ahead and when he gets back within communication range to Kwisatz, he reports that he has found the perfect spot. It's off of the road by about 100 feet and it's partially obstructed by trees and bushes so that you all would be out of sight from the road, but able to see and hear any potential comings and goings from the road. If you build a fire there, you would be visible to passersby.
