((And as a point of clarification, is the party continuing on towards the ranch, or is Sael scouting ahead as the party approaches the potential camp site?))
Sael has passively been listening to the rest of her party, and knows that they considered going all the way to our destination, but she saw Duncan flying back and wanted to take a look around herself (for the potential camping area and anything else nearby).

Sael has heard of the shrine before from overhearing people talk around Phandalin. She knows that it's not too far from Conyberry, but other than that, anything else she's heard sounds more like folk stories than anything. She's heard everything from future-seeing priests hid some gold there to stories of catacombs. But, she doesn't remember anything specific and she's not sure which of what she's heard is true, if any of it.
Being so close to the ranch, the party decides to continue on. Kwisatzsends Duncan out to look for any survivors or casualties. In the meantime, Sael continues to scout ahead. Triboar Trail runs into Butterskull Ranch from the SW (see map below). From Sael's ground-level perspective, she can see one or two pigs roaming corn field, and smoke rising from one or two buildings on the property. She can also easily see where a left turn opens up off of the road that would likely lead to the farmhouse.
Butterskull Ranch occupies a large plot of land on the north side of the Triboar Trail, nestled between two hills. Beyond a ramshackle wooden fence stand corn fields, an apple orchard, gardens, and pasture land. A path breaks off from the trail to lead to a two-story farmhouse next to a pond.
When Duncan returns, he reports that on the west of the farmhouse are the charred remains of a barn and smithy that have been burned to the ground. He also noticed more of that strange ice that you all encountered at Conyberry. It looks like the ice has destroyed some of the pasture land and the orchard. There are random pockets of frozen ground that are circular, indicating that they were potentially radiating from one central spot. And, between the farmhouse and the gutted barn lie the scattered corpses of two orcs and five humans.
At this point, the sun is setting when Duncan returns - it's roughly 8:00 p.m.
(I've added your character's tokens onto the map. I forgot to add the dead orcs and humans to this image, but they'll be in any news ones.)
Sael waits for the rest of her party to join her, taking a good look out over the scene before her, and thinking to herself that they should probably check the corpses first.

After catching up with Sael, Andrømeda begins walking forward, following the trail around the corn field, her expression darkening, her green eyes scanning the area for potential threats( Perception: 13 ) as she makes her way toward the dead. "Alvays a step behind." She mutters quietly to herself.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As she turns the corner, scanning for threats, she sees more farm animals roaming the fields freely. There are a few dead livestock here or there - a couple of dead pigs, goats, a cow or two. There are no immediate threats, from what you can see, right now.
What are you going to want to be doing as you approach the dead bodies by the detroyed barn? (For now, use the map I already posted as reference. I'll post a better one later when I have a chance.)

"I'm starting to think orcs aren't going to be the problem here...Can we determine how long ago and how they died?" if Kwisatz says, starting to scan the sky, thinking to himself, but not wanting to yet alert the party without evidence "If that ice is coming from above... perhaps the dragon has been here."
((4 (medicine +1, investigation +6) after following the others, if we get into the farm area with the bodies))
Studying the clues around what looks to have been a battlefield, Kwiz would be able to determine that these bodies have been there for a few days. There are already flies buzzing around them. It actually looks like the ice is probably more fresh than the bodies. If you had to make an educated guess, you would say that these bodies were from when the orcs attacked the ranch and the ranch hands attempted to defend it.

While you all are investigating the dead bodies, a javelin thuds into the ground right next to Andrømeda.

Orc 1
Orc 2
Orc 3
Orc 4
The Orcs get a surprise round because the party had 2 failed stealth rolls earlier, tipping the orcs off to your presence. Orc 1 threw that first javelin.
While you all were looking at the bodies, and Andrømeda was looking around for threats, she was facing the decrepit barn right next to you all, expecting potential danger to be coming from there, but the javelin that was thrown came from the direction that you all had just come from. The orcs have no idea who is who, so they are going to randomly attack you by throwing a volley of javelins for this surprise round.
Andrømeda is 1, Kwisatz is 2, Rush is 3, and Sael is 4.
On his turn Kwisatz looks to his companions, casts Enlarge on Andrømeda again, and says to her "I have a feeling you'll strike hard!" ((portent nat 20 on Andrømeda's next roll. So only roll damage, and roll it twice, including the extra d4)) He then backs up into the ruins behind to get behind cover.
I love it. While Kwisatz is backing away, the orcs just look dumbfounded as this human, who they thought would be ready prey, grows to over 13' tall. They don't notice where Kwiz went, at all.

A 7 definitely does not hit. If you want to use the two-weapon fighting action, you still have your bonus action attack roll to make that you might still hit. I don't know why your damage rolls didn't parse out, but you can roll the second damage again. (The first one doesn't matter since it was a miss, anyway.)
