Sael doesn't perceive any danger. When she opens the create, she sees that it had already been looted - it's empty, except for some spider webs.

"You know what I think?  I think your friend may have lied to us!  Nothing to find so far and the dead seem more connected to Canton... maybe he already found what he was looking for?" Sael speculates.  "I'm ready to go when you are, but I did find a room with another door heading South.  Just say the word."

"I suppose we can hit that on the way out on the odd chance there is something to find. Let us be off." Kwisatz says

The three of you had through the room Sael found. The south door leads to another hallway that deposits you back out onto the front through the other door you hadn't gone through, before.

At this point, it's early afternoon. Andromeda, Axel, & Feyd have only been on the road for a handful of hours and are probably 1/2 way to where they end up making camp.

"Still nothing...  should we call it a night?  We can head out early in the morning," asks Sael of Rush and Kwisatz.

“It’s still rather early.” Kwisatz says, adding “perhaps it would behoove us to put a few miles under our feet today so we’ll have less to do tomorrow.”

“I am not in a rush.” Rush says this, oblivious to the pun 

"Perhaps," Sael resopnds to Kwisatz, "but didn't you want to give Feyd time to depart?"

“True as well” Kwisatz says “Though it’s more that these old legs would rather two shorters days of slow walking than one of more.”

So, final verdict - are you guys hitting the road, now or, camping out where you're at and moving out tomorrow?

Rush starts setting up a tent. (Decision made)

Cool. So, you all set up camp just outside of Conyberry not too far from Triboar Trail. No need to roll for watch or anything like that. Let me know if there are things any of you would have done RP-wise, or character development-wise before going to bed. (We can add it in here if there is anything.)

You get your rest (each of you hit that Long Rest button) and wake up bright and early the next morning. You know that the trip back to Phandalin will take you two more days of travel from here. About half-way through your journey for the day, Kwisatz pocket starts to vibrate and heat up as the sending stone comes to life. As he fishes it out of his pocket, he hears the sound of Andrømeda's voice , "Friends, de Wyrm has attacked Phandalin, as vell as de Gnomes. Return vith haste, dir is much to do." 

((Also, I wanted to let y'all know that my son told me that he wasn't really interested in continuing with this, so I removed his character and we'll just pretend that the single surviving bodyguard is just staying with Feyd. He also wanted me to make sure to tell you all that he said "Goodbye!"))

 Sorry he didn’t take up the interest. I had that happen with my wife. Hope he gets the interest with someone else!

((He's super interested in Starfinder, so I might have to find the extra energy to see if I can not only re-read the rules, because I forget them, but to write an adventure. The boys seem to respond really well to the adventures I create, myself, as opposed to the pre-written/published ones.))

((I honestly forget exactly how it worked without going back to look, and I can't right now. Lol But, half way through this travel day for you, they send you that message.))

((I'd like to think that we all talked and gotten at least a bit friendlier with one another.  Sael is trying/starting to open up with them ever so slightly.  lol))

"Well rested to start." Kwisatz replies, as they walk "Though now we must move with some haste to catch up. I do home Andromeda will reply soon so we can learn their location." Taking a minute to think he adds "If the dragon is attacking larger settlements now it must either be very hungry, and unable to find what it needs elsewhere, or searching for something else. I'm curious to arrive in town to learn about the attacks themselves. Dragons are not mindless beasts that simply will attack a settlement with no reason; less so one defended."
