OOC: Trefor, you would normally have to roll, but in the interest of not delaying the game I will just assume a good roll as a Ranger.
(The Blacksmith assures Nip he must be the one to take them and he is well enough to do so. Trefor scouts the area as the Blacksmith leads the way. The party follows Rickard to his workshop on the North edge of town. The signs of a struggle are everywhere: Broken pots litter the floor, splintered chairs and tables, etc. A goblin lays dead on the floor, a poker thus his chest. The layout of his workshop is roughly as shown:
"Well, here it is. I haven't really had a chance to look things over, I went for help as soon as I came to."
Spoiler for Trefor ONLY:
Trefor, your Ranger experience kicks in and you are automatically drawn to the tracks the goblins left. Using your Tracking skills (you automatically succeed) you are able to perceive that there were about 7 sets of tracks. 6 appear to be Goblin tracks, and 1 seems to be from a small human. The tracks seem to be going to a fence on the far northeast side of the property.
DM's Note: You are free to look around. A little note about Spoilers: When you get a spoiler, keep in mind that this is information only you know. It's up to you to convey that information to the rest of your party. If you don't tell them, they don't know.
Also, remember, if you're going to roll, the difference between Perception (I look and see...) and Investigation (I see and deduce...). You have to be specific about what you're looking at when you make an Investigation roll. You can't just say, "I Investigate the room." You have to say, for example, "I Investigate the Workbench." When you roll, make sure to add your modifiers. Look at your Character Sheet under Skills and add the number to your roll.
Sorry for the crappy Paint drawing, it's not to scale or anything, it's just meant to give you all a rough idea of how everything is set up. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I want to make sure stuff is clear for you guys.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Can I use perception to see if there are any clues from either the dead goblin or where the footprints lead? Or would it have to be investigation? (I'm bad at investigation, but high perception)
If yes:
I would look for any clues for their hideout from the deadgoblin or where the footprints further extend to using my perception skill.
Something catches Trefor's eyes. He walks over to what appears to be footprints. Bending over, he scoops up a handful of dirt and lets it roll around his hands before sniffing it. He then sticks out his tongue and touches it to the dirt. Satisfied, he pours it slowly out of his hand and nods his head.
"It looks like there were 6 more goblins that got away. And look, here's Bess' prints."
OOC: Id like to do an investigation check to determine the goblin's direction of travel. I roll a 10, my investigation is -1, so total 9.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Well well Mr. Trefor, you got an eye... and a nose and a taste for this sort of things don't ya?" "However, something seems off: Goblins teaming up to abduct the daughter of a smith?"
I then inspect the goblin's corpse to see if there are any clues of what the motives of the goblins were, or if they had been sent by some other evil: maybe a garment or a piece of cloth that does not belong to the goblin kind, maybe a note, maybe an inappropriate weapon or armor.

After taking a look at the body, I speak back to the group "Well we better hurry, if we're done here, Mr. Trefor please lead the way!"
DMs note: Trefor, please use the In-Game Dice Roller (That little dice symbol on the top right corner when you're replying.) I'll take the 9 for now.
(Trefor walks around looking for tracks, and finds a few heading out the door and towards the gate on the North East side. You find a broken gate and can make out about 5-6 different sets of tracks that look to have been made by Goblins.
(Nip and Aphelios both begin to examine the Goblin corpse. He seems to have been young. He's wearing dirty, ratty leather armor, a rusty dagger tucked in his belt,10 copper pieces and a few buttons and rocks in his pouch. The blacksmith tool seems to have caught him right in his little goblin heart, so you're pretty sure he died instantly. You can't really tell anything about where he's been hiding out. He's dirty, but that dirt could have come from anywhere.)
(Rickard looks hopeful when he hears Trefor proclaim that one of the sets of tracks was a small human.)
"She was walking! That means she's still alive. Oh, thank the gods!"
(Rickard rushes to the living quarters and returns with some items, putting them into Manxim's hands.)
"I hope this helps you all. Please, maybe you can catch up to them!"
(Manxim looks at the items: a first aid kit with 2 charges, and a half a potion of healing.)
Info on First Aid Kit:
If you use a charge on an unconscious party member, they will stabilize and return with 1 HP.
(OOC: This is a homebrew thing, not an official item.)
DM's Note: If you all want to do anything else let me know, otherwise I'll assume you all want to follow the tracks.
(OOC: Have we met Pandora before? I don't recall reading that name until now).
"Yes, yes, we should be on the move... The tracks cannot be too old, and so the faster we find them, the more likely that we will find Mr. Rickard's Bess still alive"
OOC: So sorry, that was a typo from a previous campaign. Meant to be Manxim, fixed now. Sorry for the confusion.
(Using his experience as a Ranger, Trefor leads the way and his tracking ability really shines. Everyone seems to be thoroughly impressed with Trefor as he guides the party past some rough terrain, even finding some sweet berries for everyone to snack on, never losing the trail.
Everyone is moving forward at a good pace for several hours, but it's gotten dark. Those in the party without some sort of darkness vision light torches. Suddenly, Trefor stops and puts his hand up.)
"... ..."
(A faint rustling noise, then some squealing is heard as a sense of danger fills the air.)
"Brace yourselves everyone!"
(Three boars, 2 regular Boar and one Giant Boar, are rushing at you all full speed. Roll for initiative!)
DM's notes: Make sure to include your Initiative modifiers (Dex Modifier) on the top of your sheet when you roll. This is the first battle and a good chance to test out any of your attacks, spells or skills you may not be too familiar with. Go nuts, as you will have a chance to rest and regain anything you use.
DMs note: Since they're not responding I'll just roll for Aphelios

For DM:
Boars: 18
Giant Boar: 13
(The Boars come at you all incredibly fast! Luckily, there are some trees and bushes that keep them from getting to full speed, but they are upon you quickly and attack Trefor and Manxim with their Tusks!)
Boar 1 on Trefor: Attack: 5 Damage: 7
Boar 2 on Manxim: Attack: 13 Damage: 6
(Trefor manages to use his Dexterity to jump out of the way, unhurt.
Manxim takes a different approach, relying on his Chainmail armor to be able to withstand the impact of the Boar's attack. The Boar delivers a solid hit, but Manxim's armor does the job and it bounces off of him without doing damage.)
Sorry, I should have gone over this with you guys. When you hit the dice symbol some tabs will come up. There will be one that says Combat. Click on that and fill it out. Attack modifier is the 'Hit/DC' next to your weapon. In your case it's +4, so type that there. I'll let you all know when you have advantage or disadvantage. Damage dice, type in the damage dice next to the weapon you're attacking with. In this case it's 1d6. And last is Damage modifier, it's the number next to your damage dice. In this case +2.
When you attack with your bonus action, you don't get the +2 bonus on the 2nd attack.
(Trefor uses his Shortswords to slice at the first Boar he can reach, slashing it pretty good on the first strike and fairly good on the second! The Boar is hurt pretty severely!
The Giant Boar doesn't like that, and goes to defend his fellow Boars by attacking Trefor!)
Attack: 15 Damage: 12
(The Giant Boar's Tusk attack finds it's mark and is buried deep in Trefor's abdomen! Trefor tries to fight it, but ends up being so badly hurt he loses consciousness!)
(Nip's arrow manages to find its mark, finishing off the injured Boar.)
Aphelios, you're up.
DMs note: I see Aphelios hasn't been on in 3 days. I just sent him a DM, hopefully he'll get an email reminder and get back to us. Otherwise I'll roll for him tonight.
Manxim stand ups "Let´s go".
