Lanarial uses his mad skills to hide from the ghoul (bonus action: hide - Stealth: 22), then fires an arrow at the undead creature in an attempt to send it back to the netherworld!
Attack: 22 Sneak Attack Damage: 15
His arrow flies true, striking the creature's neck with such skill and impact that its spine is severed and its head pops off!
"And THAT, Tex, is what I was telling you about striking in the night before the enemy even knows they are dead!"he says with a triumphant grin splitting his dark face...
Vi nods. "Nice shot, Lanarial," she compliments the drow while wiping her sword clean and sheathing it. "Let's keep going, see how many more fun creatures we might find. Oh, Gareth, you want me to enchant your blade again?"
Lanarial checks the doors for traps (lemme know if I need to roll)and then recommends starting to the left and then going around clockwise. (so A9/A10, then A8, A7, and A6)
Vi touches Gareth's weapon and calls for Feanor to inhabit it once more, and silver flames run up and down the greatsword (+1 weapon now). She then nods in agreement with Lanarial's suggestion.
A6 - All that remains in this armory are empty stone weapon racks, wooden mannequins upon which armor once hung, and iron hooks in the walls that once bore shields.
A7 - Dozens of meager cots lie scattered about the floor. A pair of fireplaces stand cold and dark, their rubble-choked chimneys rising 120 feet through the mountain.
A8 - Tattered wool curtains conceal three neglected privies, each with a wooden bench set against the back wall.
A9 - Standing before two blackened hearths are a pair of rusty anvils, which dwarves once used to fashion and repair their armor and weapons. A fluttering noise can be heard coming from the southernmost fireplace, where a panicked stirge flies out, tries to attack you all, but is easily dispatched.
A10 - Dwarven armorsmiths and weaponsmiths stored their tools here, which still hang from hooks along the walls. Though a bit rusty, the tools are in serviceable shape if the characters wish to use them.
(A9)"Damn these flying bloodsuckers! The Above is infested with all manner of these creatures. Although none are as deadly as what lurks in the Underdark...still, where there is one, a nest is likely close by. We should fire up the chimneys and burn out any others that may be hiding out there."He'll find some old wood and cloth, making a jumbled pile in each fireplace and then light them on fire, planning on smoking out anything in the chimneys. He'll stand by with shortsword and dagger drawn in case the giant mosquitos come down instead of flying up and out.

"This place gives me the creeps," Iri says quietly as she sticks closer to Tex. Looking around as they return to the bodies of the dwarves and ghouls, Iri will whisper a prayer to Selune over them and using druidcraft makes the dwarves a crown of flowers. "There. Now this place is a little less grim. Here," She cheerfully says as she gives Tex a crown of flowers.
(We still have pass without trace for the rest of this hour so stealth up) Stealth 23

A12 - Two ballistas point toward arrow slits in the east wall. Each ballista is equipped with five bolts. The guard post is otherwise empty.
A13 - The gnawed bones, torn armor fragments, and rusty battleaxes of two dead dwarf guards lie in the middle of the room.
A15 - In the middle of this room, a carved stone dining table (15 feet long by 5 feet wide) is flanked by a pair of equally long wooden benches. Above the table hang two iron chandeliers, their candles long since melted away. North of the seating area is a sooty fireplace and an alcove containing a rough-hewn pit that descends 60 feet.
A16 - The dusty room has all the trappings one expects to find in a dwarven kitchen, including metal dishware, utensils, and drinking mugs. A stone sink is equipped with a faucet which, when turned, spouts hot water channeled from a naturally heated underground spring.
A14 - The stench of death hangs heavy in the air of this dusty, pillared hall, which has a dark, soot-stained fireplace at the east end. A deep alcove in the south wall contains a dais, atop which rests a limestone throne flanked by granite statues of dwarf warriors. Between the throne and the fireplace is a hallway with stairs leading up. You can see a massive ghoul hiding behind the throne.

Yup, that takes care of the last ghoul lol. Besides their dead bodies, the floor is strewn with bits of armor and the gnawed bones of dwarves.

Gareth nods, looking chagrined as his blade is surprisingly gore-free, for all his efforts to bathe it in the remnants of the ghouls.

Oddly, the rooms are completely deserted. What could have caused Dwarves to abandon everything?
