Arrin runs around twenty feet (G28) so he is flanking the last creature with Orin he raises his greataxe and attempts to chop off its legs in one swing.
Arrin You move behind the ankheg and swing your greataxe, cutting through two of its ice-covered legs. The ice shatters and the posterior of the creature thumps to the ground as its front legs (not claws) are unable to keep it moving.
Round 3 is over. Orin has managed to escape the creature’s grapple with help from Cinta. Zoya froze its back pair of legs with Frostbite. Arrin cut through said frozen legs, leaving the ankheg with only its two claws and its front pair of legs. The ankheg is in really bad shape, but you can tell it has given up any hope of getting away and is prepared to fight to the death.
The 11 would not have killed it, but the crit damage did.
Leon You swing at the last of the hostile bugs. You swing once as a feint, making the creature stumble back as you sink your greatsword in the center of its chest, right between its claws. You push deeper, causing your blade to pierce through the back and enter the abdomen area. You hear a hard clunk as your greatsword is stopped by something. You skewer the ankheg, killing it quickly.
The combat is over. What would everyone like to do?
Arrin seems in a great mood as he jumps up and down saying, "Ahh...nothing like some nice fighting to get your blood going. Everyone good to keep going? Orrin? You were almost a meal until Leon here stopped him." Arrin gives Leon a pat on the back with a huge smile on his face. Seemingly impressed with the humans fighting skills.
Zoya shakes her hands to get rid of a few lightning sparks that still linger. "Yes, we can continue." She chips away a piece of ice on her fingertips. "Sure."

Cinta spent a little time examining the dead, the creatures had been already wounded and she wanted to look for signs of what they had previously fought..
Leon As you pull your sword out of the ankheg, you hear a slight squelch.
Cinta A 6 is pretty low, but it’s still obvious that these creatures have cuts and slashes. You wouldn’t really know what they fought to receive these injuries, but their previous enemy/enemies probably had something sharp to use as a weapon, like claws or a blade. You aren’t able to tell when it happened.
It’s currently about 9-10 hours into the day. You all move on, continuing your path to the mines. About another hour in, you see a wagon by the trees. Structurally, it’s a lot like the ones you may have seen in Deastok, however, the style doesn’t exactly match. This wagon seems to have crashed. There are no horses attached, the fabric covering the back has tears all over it, the front left wheel appears to be missing and the back left wheel is broken and chipped, unable to go on a surface without wobbling.
Cinta You look around the wagon first. The most obvious thing is the splintered piece of bark from the point of impact on the tree. You also notice a small pool on the ground. It seems to be blood mixed with some kind of green substance. Do you touch it?

Cinta sniffs it, but she does not touch it...thats a lesson learned from way back....sometimes the puddles on the ground on the edge of the Ghostlands eat people.....

Zoya casts Frostbite at Ankheg 3. It needs to pass a 13 Con save or take
5 damage.
Zoya
You raise your hand and repeat the incantation. The hard shell of the ankheg begins turning into a cold blue.
Ankheg con save: 2
The creature’s legs freeze over. You can see the ice forming and fixing its legs to their current positions.
It is Orin’s turn. Orin has advantage on his next attempt to escape thanks to Cinta. The ankheg is immobilized due to the nat 1.
Once more Orin tries to break free: 16. He struggles and tries to kick free, and with Cintas help is able to pull away.

During the ankheg’s panic, its grip just barely loosens, allowing Cinta to help pull you free.
It is Arrin’s turn.

So....advantage because flanking.

Back to the top of initiative with Leon.
Map
Leon moves in and slashes at the final bug.
To hit: 22
Damage: 12
Extra crit damage: 2
Sensing it's final moments were his to end, Leon grip his blade and slams it down, skewering the bug as he pins it to the ground.
The 11 would not have killed it, but the crit damage did.

Orin has a quick look around how everyone is doing.

Leon said with a grin. He yanks his blade out of the dead bug and wipes it off. "Ready to move on when you all are..."
Zoya shakes her hands to get rid of a few lightning sparks that still linger. "Yes, we can continue." She chips away a piece of ice on her fingertips. "Sure."

What do you do?
Cinta stopped dead where she was and scanned the surrounds for anything suspicious or out of place.
Perception:13
Investigation:5
Are you looking inside of the wagon or around it?
Leon is bringing up the rear, so nearly trips over his companion as they stop in front of him. He pauses as he sees they are looking around.
OOC: Around first, if shes sees nothing concerning then inside.
Okay.
