"Thanks for the help, Zee," says Fluin, as he and Aluzira walk along through the cold, dark bog with the giant toad's head dangling upside down between them, swinging from its open jaw.
Everyone, mark off one day's rations from your equipment. Ulben, mark off an extra day for the food you used to keep the malodorous creature occupied while the party made its escape.
After you've traveled through the quiet, frozen bog for a couple hours, and the full moon is getting very low on the horizon behind you and the light of dawn is just beginning to grow in the sky ahead, the light air that was gently breathing from the west all the previous day rises to a moderate wind, gathering thick clouds that threaten to erupt into a storm. The wind makes the cold temperature you've all been able to endure feel extremely cold to those of you not wearing traveler's clothes (or a poncho). Aluzira, Tarek, and Ulben, make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw to avoid gaining a level of exhaustion by sunrise.
I just realized I skipped over asking if anyone has something they”d like to do in reaction to the wind chill. Feel free to declare an action in response to the wind picking up. After an hour of exposure is when the saving throw will need to be made, so we can roll things back to an hour before the sun rises, unless everyone would like to just keep going.
"No problem," Aluzira says in reply to Fluin with a smile. As they continue walking, she notices that the wind is starting to pick up and getting colder. "Should we keep going?" she asks the others.
Once the wind starts picking up and Torrent notices the others' increasing shivers, he starts to worry. When Aluzira asks if they want to stop, he says, "This cold's pretty brutal. Most'a ya ain't garbed for such cold, so if we wanna stop 'n wait it out, we kin do that."
(How far out of town are we at this point?)

Tarek huddles with Anakis to make sure she stays warm. "Don't worry," he says to the party. "The warmth and light of Pelor might soon be upon us again." He watches the gathering clouds, as he prepares to continue on. "We mustn't be that far from town. And we'll stay warmer if we keep going."
“Easy for you to say,” says Fluin, teeth chattering. “I’m f-f-freezing out here!”
You should be about two and a half hours from Ekuepool at this point. Halting your journey alone won’t stop you from being exposed to the extreme cold. Tarek’s tent will negate the effects of the wind, but only two will fit inside. An improvised shelter can also be constructed out of available materials with a successful DC 10 Wisdom (Survival) check.
Okay, it sounds like the consensus is to continue onward.
After an hour of travel with the biting wind at your backs, the sun begins to rise before you into the thick, gathering clouds as the moon sets behind you and you cross into the more settled boglands that lie closer to the city. At a slow pace, the city is still about an hour and a half away.
Fluin and Ulben each have a level of exhaustion from exposure to the extreme cold of the wind, and Aluzira might also pending the result of her Constitution saving throw. Although the sun has risen, the day warms only gradually, and the wind continues to chill those without adequate clothing for the conditions. The clouds, too, begin to darken, and great claps of thunder can be heard approaching from the west.
To be clear, I’m asking if the party wants to continue forward for another hour in addition to the one already spent walking in extreme cold brought on by wind chill, or if there’s anything else you’d like to do instead.
"I think we oughta try ta get to the city. We are pretty close, and if we get drenched and cold, the shivers'll take us right quick. Aluzira, here, take my coat. You're freezing. Fluin, I'm sorry, I don't have much else for ya, but I'll buy ya a drink when we get ta the city."

"I'll be much obliged to you if we do," says Fluin, struggling to keep his hands warm in the cold wind as he and Aluzira carry the toad's severed head.
Does everyone else agree with Anakis and Torrent to press on towards the city at the risk of further exhaustion, or does anyone have something to add to that plan?
Aluzira, take a point of inspiration for listening to Torrent's reasoning and deciding to continue onward through the bone-chilling wind.
The party's path once again leads past the abandoned bandits’ camp, and after another hour of walking through the bog, the city walls can be seen a half mile away.
Aluzira, you find that although Torrent's coat offers you some protection from the wind, your common clothes still don't entirely protect you from the extreme cold. Make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw to avoid becoming even more exhausted. Your save has advantage because of Torrent's coat.
Torrent, without your coat, you too feel the biting effect of the wind. Your clothes are sturdier than common clothes, however, so make your Constitution save with advantage.
Tarek and Ulben, please make your Constitution saving throws as well.
A second level of exhaustion for Aluzira or Ulben will cut your speed in half.
Upon seeing the city walls, Anakis jumps up and points towards it. "Finally! I never thought I'd be so happy to be back here. Those old guards better not be mean to me again."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Me either!" Aluzira says with a smile. "Not that I don't like it there, that's not what I meant. I'm just glad to be back!" Then with a look of confusion, asks, "The guards were mean to you?"

Anakis looks at Tarek as he wraps his cloak around her. "I'm okay, I have a poncho," she says matter-of-factly.
Tarek:
As you get close and touch her, Anakis' skin feels like ice, but she shows little signs of being cold.

Aluzira nods in response to Tarek and continues walking with the others, doing her best to ignore the cold.

"Thank you," Aluzira says to Torrent gratefully. "That's a fair point... cold and wet don't mix well," she adds with a small chuckle
