"Why is that side lit up?" Leon asks witha frown, glancing to the ball. If it doesn't do anything,he woudl move to the far end to look at the other goal. He should still ahve detect magic up.
Leon's footstep echoed up and down the now empty hall, bouncing about the stone walls with darkened glyphs on it. But no one and nothing seemed to care.
The first look at the west goal revealed that a small panel has opened in the back of the depression. Within the space beyond Leon could see a pouch made of fish skin. No traps - at least magical - are visible. Probably a true reward for the game?
To his right Leon can see now the short passage ending at another door with no visible traps on it.
Alyssa would force a slight tug of her lips and offer a soft clap to build on Bernards cheer. She had begun to wonder what purpose there was for her here besides dead weight, sure she could translate, but what value has that truly added? None that mattered really. Brute force and strength seemed to be prized above all else. Besides updating a note or two, she’d simply stand and wait for the boys to complete their checks and escort her through to the next area as they have been.
Leon would grab the item out of the compartment, using his invisible mage hand.
(I am good with having Leon take more of a back-seat on the ritual casting of things like detect magic. If others want to add more in that aspect, that is fine with me as a player. I don't want others to feel left out in the game... Leon is also not so good at investigation, only a +3 to that skill, so there is always that aspect to add in.)
Ramious grins at Bugs, and motions that Leon should receive the trophy, "He'll really took us through overtime and right to victory. He's the man of the hour for sure!" Then he sees Alyssa looking a bit left out of their 'bro' moment and walks over, putting a knee on the ground and giving a head bow, "M'lady, we could not have done it without your ongoing support and relentless note taking, providing us with the keen insights we needed to vanquish our enemies and win this weird ball game." He looks up and winks at her, then stands up, dusting his knee off he looks around, wondering what's next. "What's next?" he says out loud.

Alyssa's eyes would begin to refocus from their daze from Ramious' sudden approach. She'd take a step back and shift uncomfortably as the tiefling would make such a wide out of character gesture her way, her baby blues widening further. The blonde would even look behind her to see if he was speaking to someone else. "Uh..." She'd blink.
"SQUAK!" Hue would screech taking off from the elfs shoulder. "Lyssa this way! Listen Lyssa, listen!" The albino raven would take off down the hall, taking the turn singing as he went. "Doom doom doom doom doom, doom doom do DOOM."
Alyssa would inhale a breath before trotting off after her familiar.
Hue now was circling around Leon, who stood there with the pouch in his hands - nothing snapped off the Mage Hand this time, and weak magical aura coming from the pouch did not look dangerous.
Inside the thing you found ten pink pearls (worth 20 gp each), an ancient but well preserved topaz and shell necklace (worth 50 gp), and a whistle made of an eagle’s bone with feather decoration, which, after careful examination, turned to be an eagle whistle .
The hall remains quiet, the door to the next compartment - closed and seemingly untrapped.
Leon hands the pouch, with all of it's content, to whomever is carrying the loot for the group, to be shared when the group has time to go through it. He would suggest he use the whistle, as it would be good for him to be able to get into combat quicker, but would be ok with someone else using it as well.
Bugs will take the loot, except the whistle, and pack it away. He has no interest in such a thing as he cannot fly. "When we get out of here we can divide up the spoils... that is if the employer doesn't demand them back as cultural relics."
Ramious raises his eyebrows at the whistle. "Good call Leon. I can just imagine the fear our enemies will feel, when they hear a rapidly approaching...whistle blowing...flying...Githyanki." He grins to himself and pushes open the nearby door.

And yet again - nothing attacked the careless tiefling, the door needed a serious push (a bit too serious, may be, or was it his imagination?) but opened up eventually revealing an oddly shaped room, decorated in a cat motif.
The center of the southeastern wall is carved to resemble the face of a snarling tiger with hollow eyes. Under it is stone altar - or something that could be called like that with a golden statue of a cat on it with open emerald eyes. Near the center of the room is a stuffed tiger, posed as if on the prowl. The tiger’s left ear has been torn off, leaving a jagged scar on the head. Also near the middle of the room stands a stone statue of a tiger-headed man holding a spear. Two more similar statues are standing at the both sides of the altar.
In several other spots on the floor are stuffed domestic cats in various poses: sitting, stalking, pouncing, and one is begging, pawing the air. One of these cats in the center of the room has been knocked over and chewed on; its stuffing is falling out.
Hung on the walls are several skins of lions and leopards, tiger heads, and one of the most cruel weapon ever invented - cat-of-nine- tails whose lashes are tipped with bronze barbs. Along the northwest edge of the chamber a large calendar stone is mounted on the wall above a stone table or altar.
The statues of the cat-men depict tall human males with two extra sets of nipples. They seem to be wearing tiger-faced masks and are clad only in a loincloth. A jagged scar runs across the left side of the chest of each of them, above the heart, and the chests are sunken and bony. The spears are stone-shafted, but bear silvery heads. The statues are of remarkable quality, lifelike in details.
Three doors are leading out of the room (in addition to the one Ramious just opened up) - two double doors and a single one. Nothing shines magically to Leon's eyes here.
Ramious halts and looks at the cat warrior statues...he turns to the party behind him, "Uh....I'm not the bettin type...but if I was...." he pauses, then laughs, "Just jokin, I'm totally the bettin type." He grins at Alyssa, "Bet you 1 gold coin that those statues come alive and try to kill us."
He pulls his axe out, and hefts his shield onto his arm, and takes a few careful steps into the room, edging to the right slightly to let the others follow him in.

Interestingly, statues did not move. Even pushed one (touched, really, it's a stone after all, too heavy for little things) did not move or as much as blinked. The room is quiet and dusty as all of them here.
Alyssa would nod to Leon when he’d suggest to keep the whistle. It sounded like a good fit to her. She’d round up Hue.
The elf would wait to step in after the others. She’d flip a coin Ramious’ way. He had read her thoughts, for that, she gave him the gold anyway. Alyssa woulda bet they’d come to life too.
“Sense anything Leon?” She’d move to take a closer look at a cruel looking weapon that hung on the wall. Alyssa would go to reach for it, but stop herself. She’d then step back, glancing at the large calendar before stepping towards the stuffed tiger. The wizard would lean in as she’d take a look at the torn ear, briefly wondering if she could mend it.
Ramious catches the coin in the air that Alyssa throws him with his shield hand. "But...I mean, that's not how bets work. Is it?" Looking a big confused he wanders into the room and pokes at the nearest cat stuffy with his axe.

“I wouldn’t take that bet.” Leon says as he hefts his greatsword.
Bugs points to the gnawed on one. "I'll take that bet. A gold is a gold." He sends in his bugs to push one over.
